Pre broadway dinner
Best pizza ever! Fresh ingredients and so good. Would definitely go back.
We had a delicious pre-show dinner at Angelo’s! Service was great. Food was amazing. Sangria was refreshingly tasty! Highly recommend the Old fashioned Margherita pizza. Perfect crust.
Reported to be some of the best pizza in NYC and it lived up to the claim. We ate the whole thing!
Pizza was delicious, service was very fast would definitely recommend it.
Had big expectations for this place but unfortunately fell very short. Started badly with the waiter spilling a drink all over on of our party soaking her. The upper restaraunt level itself was boiling hot with little or no air con making dining uncomfortable.
Although the pizza bases themselves seemed nice and crisp the meatballs on our pizza seemed dry and unappetising and the Hallipinos I ordered were simply sprinkled on top of the cooked margarita pizza, I would have expected it to be cooked?
The food is decent but the service is bad. They automatically add 20% tip to your check which really annoying!
The food is to die for ! Very typical NY Italian food !
The Fettuccine Alfredo and pizza were both spectacular! A wonderful spot to dine at after taking in a Broadway Show!
The food was just fair The waitress barely understood English and had trouble with our order I will not be returning
Inappropriate music selection - who plays rap and country in a supposedly classy Italian restaurant?
Overpriced and no flexibility with substitutions. Typical Times Square tourist trap.
Waiters don’t refill water proactively and when asked they bring luke warm water.
They also mischarge certain items so double check your bill.
Food was yummy....air conditioner was not working very well...so it was a little too warm for my liking...but we enjoyed our meal. The dining room was upstairs which was a little difficult for my mom with a cane...no elevator
Not sure if their AC was working, but host said it was like that all of the time. I was sweating the entire meal. A couple next to us got up and left. The pizza was cold when it arrived at our table. Won’t go back.
Due to the location close to the Broadway Theater we selected Angelo's Pizza for a pre-show dinner. There were 8 of us dining upstairs. In summer, the restaurant is quite hot, probably due to the ovens downstairs. Service was just ok. We were served family style salads and had to search for our waitress to bring us individual plates. The pizza was tasty and had a nice thin crust. We ordered three pizzas and one of them just lukewarm. It must have been sitting awhile. Desserts like the chocolate mousse cake and tartufo were delicious, but stay away from the cannoli. For $8 it was only filled on the ends. The middle of the cannoli had no cream, disappointing.
The pizza was amazing and the baked ziti and caesar salad were good. I highly recommend the pizza and maybe sharing a salad because they are huge. The spaghetti wasn't very good and the service was poor. We were able to get a reservation and eat dinner before the show.
It's a nice place to go when meeting up with friends. The pizza is delicious.
The food is ok at best, however the service was super slow and our server was not particularly friendly.
Desperately needs better AC. There some but never enough. Been more than once with same issue.
Don’t recommend going shortly after they open as it took over 30 minutes to get one pizza and we were one of two tables in the whole place. A few more tables sat down while we were there and they got their pizza in about 10 minutes or so. The oven must not have been warmed up and ready to cook or something when we ordered. Food was pretty good once we finally got it. Our server was very friendly and generally the service was good.
I've eaten a lot of pizza in my 50 years, but this was the best I've ever had. I know people say things like this all the time, but I really mean it.
Amazing. The pizza was exceptional and the service was outstanding. And of course, you are eating right next to the Ed Sullivan theater so that is fabulous.
I made reservation for table of 16 - big group and they handled it well! Table has been waiting for us and staff was so nice! Pasta and pizza were great! We had a great experience!
We were a party of 10 after a Saturday matinee. Food and service were excellent!
Great pizza and fried zucchini and eggplant!
Very limited seating downstairs so we had to wait a few minutes even with reservation. Service very slow and we had an 8;00 curtain. With some prodding, we made it out on time. Very noisy downstairs and hard to carry on conversation at our table. But food was good!!
Service excellent. Pizza expensive and not very good. Crust thin but not well cooked. Tables downstairs are extremely warm since near oven. Air conditioner does not cool tables. Can not recommend this restaurant.
Had our wedding dinner here. The bride and I had to leave to take pictures before our food came but all of our guests loved the food.
Came as a suggestion of the concierge at our hotel and it was delicious! Would definitely come again.
Held a birthday party there for a 7YO and the staff was fantastic! The pizza was outstanding and s o were the desserts!,, We came early and sat upstairs in the corner. Of course 🍕 is great kid food and the huge 🍦 complemented it perfectly. Nobody - kid or adult - left unhappy! Overall, a fabulous experience and a wonderful place to have a party!
Pizza was excellent, so were cannolis and gelato. Service was slow, mainly due to a large party that occupied our waitress’ attention.
Took friends here and wasn't as please as when I had come before. The place seemed a bit dingy and the pizza was just okay.
Food was okay. Service was terrible. I sat for at least 10 minutes before our server acknowledged that we were there. Sitting upstairs was hot and it was only 75 degrees outside. Then they reported me as a no show to Open Table which was not true.
My first and last trip there
Great place for early dinner
Excellent food. Pizza and pasta. We had a delay on a entree, but still would definitely go back!
It simply wasn't great. Service was poor and a hefty tip was built in that we had no choice in. I would never have left that much of a tip. The only good thing was it's close proximity to the theater otherwise I would never go again. The pizza was ok.
My husband and I visited Angelo's during our trip to New York, for our first wedding anniversary. (We are from Boston). We were recommended to this restaurant by my parents, who frequently choose Angelo's during their visits to the city, especially after seeing a show. The food came out quickly and it was much better than I could have imagined. We shared the white pizza and the pollo piccata. My husband cannot stop talking about the piccata. It really was phenomenal. The pizza was hot, fresh, and perfectly cooked. My only complaint was service was slow to take our order, but as will many restaurants in the city (especially non-chains), you could tell they worked with little staff. Service was very quick to prebus our table, from item's we were no longer using. Having worked in restaurants in the past, we both appreciates this. We will definitely be back!
Food and service were both great.
Excellentes pizzas et pâtes...une sauce tomate à tomber...
Good pizza, tiramisu was fabulous
