For white truffle season, Angelini is a MUST. The food and service was amazing, and their outside area really charming. I look forward to returning when we can!
Delicious food and incredible service!
Birthday celebration
The food was amazing. Enjoyed the outside dinning. Weather was perfect.
Gino Angelini is one of the very few premier Italian chefs in LA.
Always happy to dine at Angelini Osteria. Grazie tante!
You could sense overbooked last night, so the wait time for food was an hour between courses. There are no enough heaters outdoors, so just be aware that you’ll need to wear your jackets while eating.
Some dishes were good, but overall there are better italian restaurants in La
We had polpo and salumi for appetizers then sea urchin linguini and veal agnolotti. All amazing. They have new heaters for outside seating so it's not too cold, and sitting outside made us nostalgic of our last trip to Italy. Great service as well. Probably my most
favorite Italian restaurant in LA.
Angelini remains the gold standard for Italian food in Los Angeles. Absolutely perfect and delicious execution. It's always a pleasure to dine there. The staff is excellent, knowledgeable, and friendly.
Best Italian in LA. What’s better than scrambled eggs with white truffles?
Fantastic food in beautiful outdoor setting
Dining at Angelini Osteria is always a fabulous experience, and my lunch this week was excellent. Providing a safe social distanced environment for our party, we were treated to some of our favorite dishes including the Caprese, bone marrow, truffle pasta, carbonara and hanger steak. Gino + Gino for the win!
Food was amazing will definitely go back. Only problem I had was my server kept forgetting my wine. And he was a bit slow to assist us with taking our food order.
Probably the best Italian restaurant in Los Angeles and one of the best pastas anywhere in the world. I’ve been eating here for 10+ years and every dish has been off the charts fantastic.
Fantastic dinner from the food perspective! Everything we had from the Salami board, to the Spaghetti Chitarra, to the truffle pizza was so delicious. It was quite cold the night we dined there and even with heaters, it was a tad cold. Only complaint and not the restaurant's fault.
The Food Was Excellent, a Great place to go to for celebrating any occasion be it a Birthday or Anniversary.
Great atmosphere but the food was overpriced for what we got. Wait staff was incredible.
No question best Italian in LA. Limone pasta. That is all.
The BEST Italian restaurant ever for us. Our 20-year anniversary was truly memorable with the fabulous dining experience we had in spite of this whole pandemic. Angeilini continues to be one of our FAVORITE Italian restaurants.
It was great
Delicious lamb chops and the pasta with shrimp and spinach was great! I'll be going back for the food and for the great service that Luigi provided.
From its Zagat accolaeds, I expected a bit more unfortunately.
I have been coming to this restaurant for nearly a decade and for the first time was truly disappointed by the underwhelming experience. Angelini is a true Los Angeles establishment which has been known for its delicious food and quality service. Unfortunately, this was not the case during our most recent dining experience.
For starters, we were seated more than 30 minutes after our scheduled reservation time. The hostess was very gracious and did come to update us every 10 minutes. In that period of time we were offered the opportunity to "order" a glass of wine. While I am very understanding of a 5-15 minute delay with a reservation time, 30 minutes is completely unacceptable and restaurants should go out of their way to compensate their guests in one way or another. Once we were seated after 35 minutes, we were placed at a table that may has well have been placed on top of a vertical hillside. They had essentially placed a table on a ramp leading to the service exit which forced two of us to lean completely forward on our chairs so not to fall backwards and take extra precaution with our food and drinks as the table was completely on a slant. We ordered 3 appetizers all of which were wonderful and four main courses. Two of us received our main courses (pasta) 15 minutes before the two others (branzino). The excuse was that due to COVID the fish had to be deboned in the back. I'm sorry but a kitchen with 20+ years of experience should know how to time meals accordingly. Outdoor dining has been implemented for months now so using COVID as an excuse is pathetic and rather offensive. Admitting the kitchen made a mistake would have prevented the criticism I feel obligated to give. Instead two of us ate cold pasta waiting politely for our guests to receive their food and none of us were able to truly enjoy our dinner.
Amazing staff and high quality food !
All of the above!...I go here often and love the feel of the place as well as the food. One doesn’t need to leave LA sometimes to find a little slice of holiday along with you’re pasta!....this place has it in spades!
Simply perfect.
If your not a regular be prepared to get second class service.
We sat outdoors due to Covid, the service was impeccable, attentive but never intrusive. Food was what you would find in Italy, wonderful fish (Branzino), veal bone marrow appetizer, and angiolotti pasta. Highly recommend.
Always delicious. It’s challenging to find a peaceful place to eat dinner outside during Covid. The back patio was fine.
We had to wait 30 minutes for out table even though we had a reservation. The waiter brought the wrong dish for my entree but I was so hungry, I ate it.
Food was great but the restaurant was swamped and it wasn’t that comfortable.
Another great dinner at Angelini Osteria! Thank you!
The lemon pasta was incredible!! And the farro salad is always a must!
The food was amazing, and we got it very soon after we ordered.
It was our niece’s 18th b-day. The staff, all of them are very talented professions, knew who we were when we came in.
Everything on the menu looked special. The pacing of the meal was perfect. And the food! It was sensational.
Phenomenal meal with new delicious dishes for us. If you haven’t tried the tuna tartare, you must! It may be my new fav! We followed that with sea urchin pasta, always a winner and then shared the swordfish, another dish we had never tried at Angelini, that was simply fantastic. Simply cooked with sundried tomatoes and some greens, it was just wonderful.
good food1!!!!!!!...……………………………………………………………………………...
The food was great - pastas were delicious - but nothing out of the ordinary. The service was great although we had to wait over 15 min for our table (we made reservations). Overall five stars.
The handmade pasta with truffles in cream sauce was yummy but a little on the salty side but that’s subjective to some like me. I will definitely return to this place to try out the other pasta dishes but request less salt. The chocolate gelato is so far my favorite.
LOVED the food. One of my favorite restaurants.
The food, wine and service were outstanding, as always!
It’s beautiful Italian traditional restaurant for any occasion
The best restaurant in Los Angeles. They are one of the only few restaurants that care about their aesthetics. They went all out to make their outdoor space as close to an Italian experience as possible during the pandemic.
Gino (chef) never misses the opportunity to stop and say hi to every table. Gino (matradee) is AWESOME! So caring about the presentation and the food/wine served. Always thanking us for the business while the restaurant is fully sold out. The same waiters and bussers have been there for years. We are grateful to have Angelini Osteria in our life!
