The food here is beyond exceptional - everything I love about Italy on one menu, flawlessly executed. The Caprese salad makes me want to weep, the stuffed zucchini flowers are ridiculously good and the pasta is sublime (this time I had the Amitriciana which was like sex). Oh yeah and if you have room for dessert the tiramisu will knock your socks off. Just go for God’s sake, it’s amazing!
Good food and great wine list. But rather pricy. Service was indifferent. Lovely outdoor setting.
I have been wanting to eat at this restaurant for a decade and it ended up being a massive letdown. The food was mediocre at best. All of it was exceedingly overpriced and the one glass of champagne I had cost me a few bottles of good wine. The dessert should have been comped for my birthday as we didn’t want to have dessert so when they came out and sang and then we got charged for it was the last straw. We will never go back. It was supposed to be a lovely birthday dinner. It ruined my night
This continues to be a favorite LA restaurant . Covid does change the ambience but happy they survived the covid shutdown.
I have been coming to Angelina for special events for about 20 years. I always loved the service and food. The food is still very good but the service was poor. I think you have become so popular that you are anxious to turn over tables as fast as you can. And service has suffered.
I would recommend the restaurant for food but not for service.
Food was unmemorable. Like other reviews, this place is very overpriced for the food and portion size.
To feel as if you’ve been transported to Italy, dine at this family-owned jewel in Fairfax. They have a charming giardino interno. (Interior courtyard) and the wait staff is efficient and professional. The food is stellar and authentic. Well-thought out wine list. Highly recommended.
My #1 Italian restaurant in L.A. Tagliatelle al Ragu and/or grilled swordfish after a burrata salad with a glass of dry Italian white wine (their sommelier's choice). The wait staff are great and remember their regulars warmly.
Service was a nightmare. Bad sitting AMG get the brazing 1 hour after order it with the wrong side of course . The manager didn’t even offer a coffee. I will higly not recommend this restaurant to anyone
Great service. Delicious pasta.
Food was not as good as it was the last time we dined at Angelini Osteria. The meal was a bit disappointing.
I thought the food was very good but my husband said it was just average. We had a little problem like a misunderstanding and unfortunately we didn’t get exactly what we ordered but the very nice waitress made up for it by offering us coffee and dessert compted.
Absolutely outstanding! So glad to have tried it after having heard about it! The octopus, the bolognese, the fegato were exceptional!
Phenomenal food and service! Made my wife's birthday extremely special. Can't wait to go back.
Great food and even better service!! Highly recommended!
Pasta is an absolute must have… Homemade so late and amazingly delicious. Unsurpassed! As is the bruschetta andThe Pana Cota Yum Yum Yum! Lovely restaurant
The barking dog at the next table kept jumping up on me which was super annoying. They moved the diners to the far end of the sidewalk but geez if your dog can't chill don't bring it to out. Sole was incredible and am excited to see you are coming to PacPal. It was an hour drive last night!
Service was great, but the food and prices were not the best. Not happy with the visit.
Angelini is always my first choice for a special occasion, a business lunch, or a casual lunch with a friend. The food is always exceptional and Gino is friendly and welcoming. The waiters are knowledgeable and and professional. Favorite dishes include the sea urchin pasta, the breaded sardines, the ahi tuna grilled crostino with arugula and pistachios, the braised baby artichoke casserole…too many to list!
Thanks Andrea! 😉
Unfortunately we had to send back the lobster pasta, the lobster was terribly over cooked and the sauce had no flavor. The octopus was very good in the salad but the dressing was lacking compared to the many times we’ve been there before.
The swordfish was good but a little bit overcooked and the spaghetti carbonara was dry in comparison to the times we’ve had it before.
The peach tart was great!
We left the restaurant feeling very disappointed. 😞
Flies at outdoor dining was bothersome. Waiter forgot our truffle pizza until we reminded him. Polipo was really good.
This is my second time here. I came back after having the truffle pasta. It was so good I had to try more items on the menu. This time I got the swordfish carpaccio, the pasta alla carbonara and then the tiramisu for dessert. I had a chianti to drink. Overall fantastic. The swordfish: some bites were a little fishy, but most were not. Heated slices of fish and still a little rare. Flavors were delicate and delightful. Would get again. Pasta again was divine. Perfectly cooked pasta with the perfect bite and chew. I loved the guanciale in place of pancetta. Sooo much better. And no peas. I much prefer it this way! I overheard someone at the next table who had ordered the dish say the pepper was too much for her. I completely disagree with her. Pepper is one of the main ingredients in this dish and therefore should stand out. I don't love pepper and I thought the seasoning was en pointe. Tiramisu was heavenly. Can't go wrong with carbs and cream. I had the same waiter as last time. I love him. Very pleasant and attentive. The place is busy but staff is always available to assist.
Good. Enjoyable time. Good waiter and waitress.
Consistently enjoyable. Good wine and food - great ambience
The food is excellent. Caprese snd garlic bread to die for. Fabulous pastas and the best Tiramisu ever‼️. Paper napkins not acceptable with these prices. Not serving lunch inside is sad because the street is extremely noisy and it looks dirty. White tablecloths would make a huge difference in the ambiance. Service was great as well!
You will not be disappointed. We were all very happy with our dinner and experience. Service was great. And for anyone with any gluten intolerance or celiac disease, they offer gluten free pasta.
The service is really spectacular. The best I have experienced in a long time. Helpful, competent & friendly.
My friend & I shared an appetizer that was stuffed zucchini blossoms. Excellent. I had the Pasta alla Norma. The pasta itself was cooked perfectly & delicious. But the presentation wasn't. And I can make it better at home. That was a huge disappointment. I was hoping to learn how to up my sauce. It was not well seasoned.
My friend's dish was a meat ragu. It was tasty. Again pasta was perfect but presentation uninviting.
I'd eaten here years ago & loved it. I've had take-out in recent months & thought it wonderful. Maybe it was because it was a busy Friday?
Everything was good except that I indicated it was for a birthday when I made the reservation on here and I was expecting at least a candle on the dessert we actually ordered and paid for, but there were none. it wasn’t like I was expecting a free dessert, but just some old fashioned happy birthday sing-along with a candle yet it was overlooked apparently.
It was wonderful all around!
Exceptional. Authentic. Will be back!
We sat outside and the atmosphere was great. The uni pasta was 100/10. we love this place!!
We went to celebrate our son's birthday. The food and service was very good. The wine list was very limited regarding the white wines (Pinot Grigio in particular). Maybe being closed for so long because of the pandemic, have had an impact in the available wine bottles to offer.
Any way over all we had a very good evening.
We’ve been going to Angelini since 2005 even though we live in Houston! It never disappoints. The extra COVID precautions made the inside feel spacious which is not easy. Great wine list compliments the delicious food. Hope to see you soon!
we had a great dinner at Angelini Osteria. Our serve Mehdi was great, very friendly. The steak was exceptional, better than Cut. The appetizers were ok. The Tiramasu was also very good. Overall a good dinner.
Angelini’s is our go-to restaurant when we are in LA. We have family there who first introduced us and we come back every chance we get. If you are looking for delicious, authentic Italian with attentive service and a relaxed vibe, you’ll find it at Angelini’s.
I hold this place to a high standard. Consistently one of the best Italian restaurants in town. Good was very good. Service was spotty, almost indifferent. We ordered a veal bone marrow. It was served without proper spoon or bread.
Pre pandemic all seating was indoors. Now they’ve taken over adjacent out door and they’re serving many more diners. It all feels rushed and chaotic. At these prices and level, staff should be more attentive.
Forget going to A steak house for a ribeye. This is my favorite spot for a perfectly grilled steak. Best spinach lasagna, which they are famous for and don’t forget the lightly fried stuffed squash blossoms to start while they are still in season.
Overall excellence by this restaurant crew, which is their norm.
It's a wonderful place to a leisurely lunch or dinner. Always wonderful1
