This was our second visit to Angeline's and the experiences and the food were night and day. Our first visit the server was attentive, knowledgeable, and responsive. The food was well prepared and quite delicious.
Second visit not so much. Our server was an occasional image that we happened to see when he chose to appear. The ricotta that we had on our first visit and found delicious was presented to us with "toasted" bread that was cold. When I asked for warm toast, they brought 2 pieces in a bowl instead of the 4 which were on the original dish. The branzino my wife had was bland and undercooked. The pappardelle I had was fine, but nothing special. Overall we were disappointed and we actually cancelled a reservation we had to take our daughter there for her 14th birthday in 3 weeks. They need to tighten things up.
First time here; my wife and I also brought close friends married couple visiting us from New Jersey. Hostesses and Bruce, our server, could not have been nicer. However, we were deeply disappointed in eggplant main course dish. Both couples ordered dish as part of our meal sharing. Dish was overly salted and we each stopped eating it before it was even half finished. Our Bolognese dish was good and our friends enjoyed their Calamari and Margarita Pizza.
Wonderful experience! We were 10 minutes late for our reservation but they were very understanding and we were still able to get seated right away. It was not super busy when we arrived so maybe that factored in. The bread comes with an olive spread that’s delicious. The tap list is small but very unique. Quality vs quantity in this regard. The courses were really well paced, which led to a really relaxing experience. Portion sizes were perfect. I love that they have an option for half portions of pasta. We ended up sharing a pizza and each getting a half portion pasta, which was a perfect amount of food. Our server was excellent. Highly recommend!
Great dinner, great atmosphere - will definitely go back again and again!
Could t have been better. Would like to see some domestic beers though. This is America.
We loved our date night here. Great food, great ambience....we'll definitely be back.
Took my best friend who was visiting from out of town along with the hubby. We LOVED the ambiance, the food was delicious, our waiter Casey was excellent and Zack who was in training was wonderful! Casey was very knowledgeable and highly accommodating, especially when it came to our food sensitivities (Gluten Free, diary free, and more!). We will be back and highly recommend this outstanding restaurant!
Celebrating a friend’s birthday.
Lovely décor. Appealing menu selections. However, I asked the server regarding the size of the $10 Queen's Chop Salad, since it was going to serve as my lunch, and wanted to ensure the portion was sufficient and she assured me it was substantive. I didn't add any protein for an additional upcharge. What came was essentially a $10 side salad - delicious, but not enough for a meal. I ended up ordering a side of the broccolini which brought my lunch total to over $20 before tip - which is more than I typically spend for lunch. (Compare that to Mimosa's enormous Chopped Salad with Hickory Grilled Steak for $14.) My lunch partner ordered the Angelines's Burger for $14 which was HUGE cooked perfectly and came with a large pile of delicious fries. So, it definitely paid to order the more indulgent option. There were lots of great options on the menu. I may return, but will not be ordering the salad. And I will definitely grill the server more intensely regarding portion sizes!
Server was very inattentive. Was unresponsive to re-fills (even when asked). Included water, sodas and condiments.
We happened to be running early and called the restaurant to see if they could sit us early. The hostess answered the phone by greeting me by my last name which I found to be a touch of class. They agreed to have us seated early and then we were cared by Taylor. She was knowledgeable, friendly, and kept making our experience perfect. My fish was delicious and my date had the rib eye - loved it. This place has to be a perfect space for brunch - comfy chairs, nice layout and lighting, good eye candy! I would come back
Service was excellent but food was only ok. Rooftop bar owned by same owner is awesome.
Amazing food, fantastic drinks, superior service! Our server (apologies as I don't remember his name) was top notch. A dining experience is always heightened when the servers are passionate about the menu and make fantastic recommendations.
The hostess in the red dress was such a sweetheart as well and really made us feel special.
Thank you for an amazing meal and experience. We will be back!
Good service and facility but food was average at best.
We went for Easter lunch and wish I would have known it was a buffet. The food was lacking and totally not worth the $65 per person price tag. There were so many workers there and it was as if no one was paying attention to the buffet. Items were either missing or cold. The cocktails were okay but again not worth their hefty price tag. I had one drink and was never asked if I wanted another. This place has potential but it needs to regroup and reassess.
What a great feel in this place. We received great and attentive service and a special juice concoction created for us. Coffee was yummy. We were excited to try the Easter Sunday brunch but many of the food were trying too hard. Everything was over the top when simpler and spot on would have been better for the money. Too much rosemary in the scrambled eggs. Actually too much overkill on herbs in every item. We didn’t get any lamb because when we went to get it they were “reheating it.” Big challenge was we were part of the early crowd and most of the dishes seemed to have sat out for a few hours and were dry. I think they have a great opportunity here and we are more than willing to pay the price for a holiday brunch but this was a bust and super expensive. But the staff was fabulous from the moment we walked in the door!
The pasta bolognese was quite possibly the best thing I've ever eaten in my life!
Excellet food & service. Loved the complimentary 2 glaases of wine & flower since we were there for our anniversary. Great ambience. Will definitely go back!
The food and the service were great! 3 of us had the eggs benedictina and it was delicious! The basil hollandaise made the dish. The banana bread French toast was also delicious - dense, moist and just sweet enough. We shared it for dessert. The rosemary potatoes were really good as were our bloody Mary’s and Rossinis. Our server was nice, engaged, and attentive and did a great job. I can’t wait to go back and try the dinner menu and I would definitely return for brunch!
Outstanding service! We celebrated our 2 year anniversary and they gave us a complimentary drinks and dessert! So very sweet! The service was great and the book was amazing. Definitely will be going back!
The food was excellent and the staff very attentive. It was our first visit there and we will be back.
I have gone to Angeline's several times and it has never disappointed! The mussels appetizer were huge and delicious! The service is always excellent and would definitely recommend.
Good food, great service! I would certainly go back again.
Bolognese was incredible and we got to see Michael Jordan as well.
Very limited menu of overly precious foods or unusual combinations. Trying to be super chic when a little more relaxed bistro fare would be far more appreciated in this context. Attentive service but she didn’t know the menu. Over priced for Sunday lunch.
Warm welcome, excellent service, inspired cocktails, bread and olive tapenade...thumbs up nice change from the typical butter or olive oil, choices for vegetarian diners and delicious deserts. More ice cream for the zapalates (sp?)
Joe and Bruce were amazing. Awesome service!
The service was a bit slow. Food was pretty good but not great.
Delicious meal - biggest scallops I've seen in my life! And the Power of Love cocktail is an absolute must-try when you go! Service was great and the food was timed perfectly. Also, they clean the tables in between plates which is a huge plus for me. It was a little loud and crowded when we first walked in but once we were seated it was much better. We finished dinner with a view from Merchant & Trade rooftop which was the perfect end to our meal. We will back!
Service was excellent and food was very good. A little expensive as everything was a la carte.
This was our first time here, and We really enjoyed it. We had great service and really enjoyed everything that was served. We will definitely be back.
Service was amazing from the moment we walked in! The person who greeted was warm and inviting. The server was knowledgeable and friendly as well. Food can out in a good time and was cooked perfectly
Fabulous food and top noch service from Taylor!
Business dinner and everyone was pleased with their choices. I had eggplant, it was excellent
Fantastic food, service and location.
Actually we never got our food order, neither did four other tables so we all left. The manager never came by, the waitress never told us there was a problem and we are business people in a lunch hour.
We ended up ordering bottled water Bc the tap water had a fishy odor. The service was slow. My friend ordered a Bloody Mary and it tasted more like pesto and marinara sauce.
I celebrated my birthday here and would definitely recommend this place - the food was phenomenal and the staff was very accommodating. This is a great choice for a date or special occasion.
It was good. They are ironing out things. Service was initially excellent but then slowed as night went on. The food was quite good.
Our server was amazing. We went for lunch and the restaurant was dead. I ordered a glass of wine, and what resulted was the most anemic pour I have seen. When our server asked if I wanted another glass
