Beautiful restaurant and attentive service. Gnocchi tasted freshly made. Highly recommend.
Everything was amazing. From being greeted promptly to the very end with having full tummy’s
This was our second “special occasion” brunch at Angeline’s. The first was in June on Father’s Day, and we were pleased enough with the food, atmosphere, and service to make a second reservation for my mom’s 93rd birthday. The menu was slightly different than in June, but both times had interesting alternatives to a “typical” brunch menu. Marie was our server on both occasions and she was friendly, professional, kind, and attentive. Since my mom is blind and in a wheelchair, everyone was sweet to make a fuss over her for her special day. It was extremely generous for them to comp her avocado toast, which made her feel very special indeed. We will definitely return!
Angelines is a beautiful restaurant with sensational food. Everything we ordered was wonderful but the trick was narrowing down the list because there were so many items that we wanted. Our server, Annie, was an absolute doll and a great waitress.
Great food, great drinks and loved that they did NOT have music blasting so loud it is hard to have a conversation!! Great noise level! Lovely, friendly hostess! Will go back!
We love Angeline's! The service is always friendly and excellent...they are very accommodating for food sensitivities and the food itself is outstanding!
Our waiter Ronnie was amazing. He made our anniversary dinner very special. He made our experience much better.
Our family of four came here for our 17 wedding anniversary. Slightly annoyed that a couple on the next couple were asked if there was a special occasion for them which was a birthday and the same waitress did not ask us - maybe because we had children with us. Slight things like our waters not being filled further annoyed us. We ordered the calamari (OK) and pork/lamb meatballs which were slightly salty. The main meals we ordered were sausage pizza (soggy), half chicken, branzino and papaperdelle - the pasta and chicken were very good - the fish was dry and extremely small. For $36 I would have expected a larger piece, in NY I have had huge pieces for $26!! Plus, no one came to ask if we needed anything - I would have liked some lemon for the fish to give it some taste. I guess they see a family and ignore them and concentrate on the couples and "birthday" parties of adults, our family eats out every week and know good food and value for money!!! Overall disappointing and really expensive for what we got. Not a patch on Luce.
Very average but expensive for the price our visi- just my opinion. Would I go again, no, but the crowd coming in after we left means they will probably do well- they need to ensure they do not become just a one time visit.
The food was well prepared and seasoned with reasonable sized portion. The service was attentive without overbearing. We will definitely visit again.
Aisha, the hostess was phenomenal! She welcomed us as if we were family. It was raining with no outdoor seating but she seated us with a view and a heart felt smile. She presented us with an anniversary token from the staff. Our server, Tenae, was outstanding. Very knowledgeable of the wine menu to recommend when our first choice was not in stock and knew the menu without questioning the kitchen for my husband’s food allergens. Food was amazing. Exceeded our expectations and look forward to trying out more of the menu selections!!
We had dinner reservations and were immediately blown away by the warm greeting from the hostess - she made us laugh and set our experience off on the right foot. :) The wine, food, and service was incredible. We will definitely be back and recommend this restaurant for your special occasion. :)
I had to wait close to 15-20 mins to be seated even though I made reservations.... that's annoying but food was great.
Very nice restaurant. Service was good
We did not think the food was all that good though.
There are much better Italian restaurants downtown.
My only disappointment is that the portions are small especially for the price, but the food was pretty good. I wouldn’t say it was “delicious Italian,” but it wasn’t bad at all. We eat out a lot and have traveled extensively, so the “bar” is high. It’s overall unique food (not your typical Italian) and the place is beautiful.
We had an amazing experience! Darren our server was wonderful and very knowledgeable. The food was delicious, especially the whipped ricotta. We will definitely be back!
very limited menu. They are trying too hard to be foo-foo.
Interesting small menu with very fine execution. Great design of the space. Competent and friendly staff.
Food was excellent across the menu. Service was exceptional
Unique cuisine . Great wine list. Wonderful service . Fun rooftop lounge
Excellent food, and a great plate of Bacon...
Great place to have a breakfast business meeting. Menu options are great and the staff was very pleasant.
Great place!! The menu has changed some...bring back the Brussels!! Also need some more vegan options. Overall, fabulous place to eat!
Great spot.....food was spot on...our tables well-serviced, highly recommend
Brunch was delicious! The frittata tasted authentically Italian, and the tiny new potatoes were roasted perfectly. The “morning pie” is a breakfast pizza and my husband thoroughly enjoyed it. Our first time there- but it most certainly won’t be our last!
It’s awesome place esp for birthday dinner the food is okye.
Angeline's was a delightful experience. My boyfriend and I came to celebrate my birthday on a Monday, so it wasn't crowded or loud. With a large selection of drinks, it was difficult to choose, but we ended up with an Italian moscato - delicious. Our server Taylor was fantastic, friendly, and knowledgable. The menu is inventive and the food is extremely fresh. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant.
The service, food and ambiance is top notch! Great venue for a business lunch/dinner or just to enjoy with friends.
Great evening to dine outside in patio area. Interesting Italian offerings - have to return and try some other items!
What a great time. Food was amazing and the service was outstanding. We were there for my girlfriend's birthday and she loved it. our server was awesome, just wish i could remember his name. We had a drink at the bar afterwards, the staff there was awesome as well and they were very knowledgeable. Will be back.
First let me start by saying that every morsel of food I put in my mouth was outstanding. That's about as good as it gets. Ordered a Vodka rocks at the bar, bartender put it in a 180 degree glass right out of the dishwasher so the drink was watered down before I even took a sip, I told the other bartender she took my glass changed it to another and added ice for 11.10. I left it on the bar but as not to cause a scene, I paid. The server knew nothing about the menu, when I mentioned something he would say "oh yes that is wonderful," never once providing one suggestion. When he dropped the check we had two empty wine glasses, 2 empty espresso cups, an empty decanter, various silver, the table was a total mess, I am embarrassed to have brought my mother here for such a special birthday.
I wanted to love this restaurant ! This actually was the second time I had tried it .. the first for brunch ( which was below average ) and this time for dinner . In a nutshell this restaurant is terrible ! I ordered the Panzenella Salad ( the bread was so absorbed with pesto ) the bread could not be identified! I then was served a pasta dish and the pasta was total mush !!! If this is suppose to be an Italian restaurant ... they need to learn the term el dente ! I should have known that if they could not cook eggs correctly for brunch ... why would I assume they could prepare pasta properly !! I have given this establishment approx 300.00 for 2 orders that were not editable ... enough !
Very cool and aesthetically pleasing restaurant. Delicious food with exceptional and seasoned wait staff. Well stocked bar! A plus is that Merchant and Trade roof top bar is in the same location!! We brought friends from Baltimore to both places, and I think they’re ready to move to the Queen City now.
The food was excellent. I had Bistecca medium well. The service was excellent as well. Very attentive staff. Planning to go back when I am back in Charlotte.
very limited menu. portions are small. had one item that was overcooked and uneatable. our server was professional, helpful and kind. they removed the one dish from the tab without hesitation. check out the menu first before making a reservation.
Charlotte is blessed to have a new restaurant of such high quality. Overall, the experience was outstanding. I think I have found my New Best Restaurant (NBR)!!! I have lived in Northern Italy, and these preparations are regionally authentic. Thanks for the good job!
The restaurant is beautiful for sure! The service was good - fairly knowledgeable staff. Things were just slightly off. Ordered a signature cocktail that was delicious but when my friend ordered the same one, it was odd since mine had crushed ice and the other arrived with cubes ice. Not a dig deal but it does change the cocktail experience. We ordered the special risotto and it was different from what was described and when we mentioned to the server he replied they the kitchen must have made it differently. All the food was very good, but the hot food wasn’t as hot as it should have been. Would definitely go back for another try.
Went for our anniversary. Our waiter, Bruce, did a great job. He was quite attentive. However, management needs to provide more staffing as it became obvious Bruce was being pulled in a lot of different directions. He still tried to provide (& did) highly professional, polite service.
The food was very good. Not the absolute best I've ever had, but definitely will be back. Upscale setting. Worth going early (before 6:30) to visit the 21st floor sister roof top bar (Merchant & Trade). Together they make a great evening out.
We went here for a 30th birthday dinner. Our server, Dan, was excellent! He was attentive without being overbearing and nobody at our table ever had an empty drink. I was impressed that for the birthday girl they gave flowers, a card, a glass of champagne and a free dessert. I have actually already recommended Angeline’s to a coworker and we will definitely be returning! They helped us celebrate a wonderful night!
What an amazing experience & dinner my aunt and I had at Angeline’s after personally just moving to Charlotte. The service & food was outstanding.
Wonderful staff, great ambience, and incredible food. Very happy with this restaurant.
