Excellent service! Appetizer and salad we're great; pasta could have used a little more seasoning and cheese. We will go back.
Food was very tasty and well presented. The portions were much smaller than you would expect for the price. You usually get too much to eat at an Italian restaurant. Here the opposite is true.
The food here was not good. I would not recommend.
Whole experience was great. Catered for shared plates without asking, staff extremely friendly and accommodating. Bolognese was by far the best followed by spaghetti duck confit. The arancini balls were slightly disappointing as didn’t have a lot of flavour.
Definitely going to go back - could be one of our local favs
I liked the atmosphere here. Perfect for clients. Thought the salads were not good, however going to an Italian place, shame on me. The chicken tasted like it was seared in sausage fat.
Celebrating my wife’s birthday. Staff took great care of us and made the evening very special. Will definitely be returning again.
Loved the place and will definitely revisit one day. The Budino dessert was our favorite. Had to go back the next day for one more loving taste of it 😋.
Water filler, needed more to do as they were a little intrusive with multiple visits.
Great meal, very nice and attentive server. Perfect balance of making himself available without constantly interrupting the table.
Always a great time!
Overall good but put in notes we were celebrating two birthdays and they did not acknowledge that
The food was excellent and the staff was lovely and friendly. It was our anniversary and the waiter provided us a complimentary champagne toast!
We loved our experience and our meal at Angeline’s! The staff was wonderful and the food was delicious. Absolutely loved our server. We were told we would get a dessert for free since it was our anniversary and it ended up being on our bill... not a big deal as we loved the custard!
Great service, great ambiance, but my forty-some-dollar steak was over cooked and over salted.
My daughter and I had dinner at Angeline’s before a show at the Belk Center. The vibe was relaxed, the service was exceptional and the food wonderful. We split a seared scallop appetizer (passing on the grilled octopus)...it was extraordinary! She had eggplant Parmesan and I had a seafood “stew” with scallops and clams over pasta cooked with squid ink. Remarkable! The bread with the tapenade was great as was the broken/smashed lemon tart. The beverages and wine recommended by our server, Jordan, were exactly on point and complimented the meal perfectly. We will return!
Great Uptown location, nice ambiance and fairly quite as it wasn't too crowded. Food was very good with fresh ingredients nicely prepared fairly quickly. We both had salads with chicken. We were also on a tight schedule and we had plenty of time to eat it meal yet be done within 40 min.
Amazing food in a lovely setting with a delightful noise level. As we were discussing how wonderful each dish was that we shared over this meal, my husband and I noticed how we were not having to raise our voices to hear each other. What a treat to have a restaurant with a volume that is pleasant to dine in! The whipped ricotta was simply delightful - light yet creamy, rich yet airy. Bolognese was fantastic. The polenta side was surprising with lightness and flavor. Truly loved our meal.
Lunch menu has a lot of variety and daily specials. Broccolini was really good and the burger is always a good value.
Angeline's was very good. I would visit again or recommend. Good handmade pasta. Very nice upscale uptown Charlotte location. Great service. Chopped salad great, Agnolotti great. Grilled ceasar and Tettrazini were a little boring.
Awesome as always! I thoroughly appreciate that Angeline’s is upscale dining for the discriminating palate, but approachable for a great pre-Panther’s game dinner that openly welcomes the fans dressed in game day attire. Way better pre-game experience than the typical sports bar. A+++++++
Food is fantastic. We try to go to this restaurant every time we are in Charlotte. Service is good too!
Atmosphere was great. Food was mediocre
We were met outside after calling to find out exactly where they were. Our waiter was terrific! Great restaurant-great people-great food.
Loved this place. Great food, ambience and service. The snapper with artichokes was wonderful!
Food was just ok for the money, small menu, waiter ran over every time you made eye contact. Cocktails were not good at all, tasted like spices mostly.
Went there for the first time on a Sunday. It was moderately packed. Service was ok, relatively slow considering after he brought the bottle of wine and said he would bring bread, our entrees came before he came back. Food was a little pricey but not exceptional. It was good just nothing great like some of the other Italian restaurants in Charlotte.
Nice impromptu date night. Rooftop bar for drinks is a must! So pretty!! Wine/beer were good. Got the calamari which was good and filling. The margarita pizza was ok. ambiance was nice and staff were great.
Great flavors portions a little small
This was the second Saturday in a row that we visited Angeline’s. The first time we had an exceptional meal. So we went back with friends. It was much busier than the previous visit. The food was definitely different. The chicken tetrazzini was nothing like the first time I had it. I was very disappointed. I will try again but probably not for awhile.
Great experience at Angeline’s! I am an aficionado of Bolognese - Angeline’s iteration is fresh, floral and rivals some of the best I’ve had throughout travels in Italy. A++++++
My girlfriend and I went on our first date here. It was the perfect spot for us. It is nice enough for a pleasant date, but didn’t break the bank. We had an awesome waitress who really took good care of us throughout our time there. The food was quite good, and the atmosphere was fantastic. We will be going back soon!
Everything was great about this place, first time visiting and for a special occasion. We will most certainly come back
This was our first visit to Angelines. We chose it because it was close to our friends new home in Charlotte and the reviews were mostly good. We were warmly greeted at the door. Our server was prompt and very knowledgeable. My husband had the Bolognese, which he thought would be too much to finish. Not a scrap was left atbtge end of the meal. The same was true for the Vongole I had. I've never eaten squid ink pasta before but the dish was delicious. The house wines were great matches for the food. The only thing we were disappointed in was the grilled Caesar salad. Not the best ever. Despite that, we were impressed over all and will definitely go back again.
Excellent salads and good entrees
Overall I would recommend and return!
Fish special was not good 😟
My girlfriend and I went to Angeline's to celebrate her birthday. The service was great and the food was delicious. We loved the eggplant dish especially. But the real MVP of the evening was the hostess. Unfortunately I can't remember her name - I think it might have been Aisha. She greeted us with a handwritten birthday card and a rose for my girlfriend. She got the kitchen to send us a dessert, on which they had written "Happy birthday" in chocolate. She made sure we got a picture together to remember the night. Lovely experience overall.
Took my wife for her birthday and she loved it. the Food was Amazing and the Chef Marketa was super nice and friendly. I will definitely be back again.
Amazing food. Fantastic service. My date didn't like her dish and we were able to swap it for something else with no questions asked. Probably best dining experience in Charlotte so far. A+ and 5 stars.
