The service was above beyond excellent. I loved the ricotta appetizer and the aged ribeye entree. Great wine selection and classic cocktails.
Very accommodating for gluten sensitivity
First visit to Angeline’s was awesome ! Server was very friendly and knew the menu well. We tasted 8 dishes and all where exceptional.
Angeline’s is one of my Charlotte favorites! Great food and great service!
Good staff. Terrific hotel as well. Food is good, not inspired, but good.
Food was great and the service was exceptional. The ambiance inside provided for a great date night.
Best roasted cauliflower I’ve had! Pasta bolognese delicious! Great atmosphere. Mussels too spicy.
Great atmosphere, below average food
Food is tasty. Service was nice. Attractive decor. Staff were responsive. Everyone who stopped by the table responded "no problem" to "thank you", leaving a big question, what kind of problem did the server possibly imagine there might have been?
First experience was good. Service was exceptional, soup was on the cool to warm side wish it was a better temperature. Corkage fee is steep as had a special bottle for a special birthday dinner.
After drinks and appetizers upstairs at Merchant & Trade we enjoyed a delicious dinner. Being Italian, we are really discerning on Italian food and Angeline’s was a pleasant surprise. The eggplant was especially good and not overwhelmed by cheese. Kudos to the chef! We will be back.
Food was great. Many gluten free options.
Our waiter was efficient but aloof. We had a group of 6 and he didn’t mention that you cannot split a bill by 6 until we asked after receiving a single bill. Communication upfront would have been nice. Thank goodness for Zelle!
Besides not Recognizing my reservation it was all settled Luckily because I save the receipt.
Enjoyed our brunch
We went for Thanksgiving dinner. Overall the food was very tasty and it was a pleasant environment. My only complaint is that the pre fix menu was served family style, which was fine, but they gave you the same amount of food regardless of your group size, even though we paid per person. As a result, our portions were significantly smaller than if we had just been a group of two. Other than that we had a good experience.
Service was poor and the food sub standard.
Food was cold and everything was extremely salty and not very warm. Bolognese had very little over cooked pasta and was like a soup.
Great girl’s night!
Excellent food, excellent service, and great ambiance. Will definitely be back!
We had a great time! The appetizers were more appealing to us than the main course options, so we did tapas and sommelier recommended a great and relatively inexpensive Super Tuscan!
Had my 30th birthday dinner here and had a wonderful evening! A favorite of the group was the house made ricotta appetizer and the risotto appetizer. The hostess, (I believe her name was Aisha!), really made our experience excellent. She was very personable and brought me a birthday card. She checked on us multiple times throughout the night and told us some of her favorite menu items. The restaurant is also beautiful! We didn’t get a chance to make it to Merchant and Trade upstairs but we’ll definitely make sure we do next time!
Our server was amazing! Ron was personable and anticipated our needs. He made it a great time, as we celebrated birthdays.
Met my booking requests without a question. Made us special cocktails without hesitation. Accommodated our low carb diet requiring small changes to the meal happily. We felt very comfortable. The meal was outstanding.
The food did not have much flavor, and certain components of our dishes were not well executed.
Overall excellent experience. Warning, though, prices might seem high for some lunch items. $22 for an eggplant parmesan?
Was so great! Food and ambiance was perfect for our anniversary celebration! Service was amazing went with the servers recommendations all night and was never disappointed have to go!!
The saltiest food I have had in a while. The only thing I enjoyed was my wine and their soup.
What can I say....this place is great. The Whiped Ricotta with Honey is amazing. Best Porcetta ever. Everything is great.
Nice enough place. Nothing wrong with it. Food was just ok. Kinda bland.
Our service was really good. Enough attention and personality but not overbearing. Food was great and live the atmosphere
Great food, the oyster & wild mushroom soup was outstanding ! Should keep that on the menu. Our server Dan was exceptional.
From the moment we walked in, me and my friend experienced phenomenal service. Our request to be seated in a booth was granted, and our server greeted us almost immediately with some water. I loved seeing someone cleaning the wine glasses and checking them for smudges, it shows how particular they are about the details. The server was so nice to each of us, congratulating us on our birthday. Daniela took our order swiftly and asked us if we needed anything else often. Our food was sublime, the broccolini was a little too salty but still sooo good. And at the end, Daniela got us a dessert on her that even had “happy birthday” written in chocolate. I recommend Angeline’s because I can see that it’s not jus about getting a customer in and out, it’s about quality, service and a great experience.
Four of us ate at Angeline’s for the first time and we were very impressed. Our server was one of the best we have ever had - attentive and anticipated our needs without being intrusive.
Food was excellent. Caprese salad had fresh heirloom tomatoes along with housemade barrata cheese. Pasta was homemade and sauces tangy and flavorful. Overall thought the prices were very reasonable for the quality and location in downtown Charlotte. We will definitely be back!
Our food was awful and when we told our waiter he just said “oh sorry”. It was the pasta he recommended (scallop ravioli) and none of us could take more than a bite. He was pushy and kept telling us we needed more food and a more expensive wine. It was 4 women and we were all trying to eat a huge entree before the play we were seeing
Beautiful restaurant! It was my parents 29th anniversary and they brought a card to our table- what a lovely touch. Greeters and server were wonderful. Food was fantastic!
First time diner, went for lunch. The service was outstanding. We were attended to throughout the meal. The portions were on the small side, but still enough to satisfy. The prices were high for what we ordered. There weren't a lot of salad options. The dishes we had were good, although not exactly what was explained. This won't be a regular lunch spot, but fine for an occasional business meal.
Delicious food, cool restaurant. Little pricey but worth it for a special occasion.
Only issue was we had a 8:30 reservation and it took them till after 9 to seat us. Everything else was great.
We met some friends for drinks on the rooftop bar. It was 70 degrees and beautiful, and our drinks and service were great.
We then went to Angelines for dinner - great ambience, good service - but all four of our entree's were not good. The ribeye was awful, the eggplant parmesan awful, and the branzino just okay. What a downer to the evening.
A lot of money has gone into this restaurant facility - need to back it up with a chef that can make great entrees.
