Absolutely amazing from the appetizers to the dessert! Loved every aspect of the evening. Would definitely recommend Angeline’s to anyone and everyone. Will be back without a doubt. Thanks again for the fantastic food and service.
Such a great find! Came for my friend's birthday and she loved it. Food was outstanding and they even gave us a free dessert for her birthday! Will definitely be back.
Angeline's is a welcome addition to Charlotte's Uptown restaurant scene. We have visited several times and have been consistently impressed with Food and Service. Management clearly knows what they are doing and our visiting Business Friends were very happy with our most recent experience. Angeline's has become one of our "go to" spots for a great Queen City evening. Highly recommended!
YUMMM! I would eat here all the time! Fresh food, great menu, wonderful flavors and superb service! You HAVE to try the ricotta appetizer and any of their house-made pastas are the best! Our server was wonderful and if you're a fish person, go with the Branzino, served whole and so tasty!
The service was outstanding! We ordered the whipped ricotta which I highly recommend. Very flavorful. The Ribeye was also very good and tender.
Not enough menu choices and it was pricey for what they offered.
Excellent by any standards but particularly so for a hotel restaurant. Appears to attract a lot of locals.
Second time dining here, this time got my birthday. My husband and I were greeted promptly and seated in a nice booth by the bar area. The hostess presented me with a birthday card, which was a nice surprise. We over ate, but it was all amazing.
Wonderful food and experience. Service was awesome. Hostess Alicia (hope I spelled that right) is the best!
I think that overall my experience was OK. The food wasn’t good in my opinion. The bread wasn’t warm and cold when severed. The calamari was spectacular, but when my entree was served it was TERRIBLE. My stomach started hurting from the gnocchi and I had to excuse myself from the table to use the restroom. The ambiance was beautiful and very quite for a Sunday. It was my 20th birthday and I was expecting more. The desert was okay, the tiramisu was dry and there wasn’t a candle or anything special added. I even think we got charged for it. Overall not coming back and my stomach hurt the rest of the night.
First time at Angeline’s was fantastic! The whipped ricotta to start was lovely and our entrees were fabulous. Loved the vibe of the restaurant, very trendy and a great date night spot. Would absolutely go back!
Loved the place. Lighting too bright when it got dark.
Stayed at the Kimpton hotel. Nice restaurant associated with hotel
Birthday dinner. Michael was a very attentive server. Very knowledgeable on menu. Portions were a little small for price point. Free dessert was a great touch. Overall good experience.
Our waitress was great! Very knowledgeable too. .
We visited Angeline’s for a birthday celebration and they were great! Not only did they have a personalized card and flower for the birthday girl they were great when it came to service once you stepped foot in the restaurant. We didn’t order any appetizers but the bread and tapenade were great. Did start with the soup du jour to go along with my Gnocchi. I wasn’t big on the Gnocchi but the other dishes were great. The Bistecca and the Eggplant were both great. The ambiance is awesome and I think this restaurant will be around for a long time. Would love for them to offer more features , the only feature the night we were there was the Cream of Mushroom soup du jour which was very flavorful.
Low quality food.
Also, the pizza we ordered was burnt, even if we specifically asked for it to be just golden brown, not too cooked. They nada another one, but still the result was low average quality, same as rest of the menu
All this for a high end level price
Good atmosphere and good service. Some dishes were better than others. Calamari was terrible -- bland and heavy. Peach cobbler was weird -- crumble on the top was too doughy and mixing herbs into the peaches was not good. The gnocchi was very good, but had too much garlic. The scallop appetizer and mussels appetizer looked good.
Birthday but waiter and hostess failed to bring or say anything special
Beautiful restaurant and attentive service. Gnocchi tasted freshly made. Highly recommend.
Everything was amazing. From being greeted promptly to the very end with having full tummy’s
This was our second “special occasion” brunch at Angeline’s. The first was in June on Father’s Day, and we were pleased enough with the food, atmosphere, and service to make a second reservation for my mom’s 93rd birthday. The menu was slightly different than in June, but both times had interesting alternatives to a “typical” brunch menu. Marie was our server on both occasions and she was friendly, professional, kind, and attentive. Since my mom is blind and in a wheelchair, everyone was sweet to make a fuss over her for her special day. It was extremely generous for them to comp her avocado toast, which made her feel very special indeed. We will definitely return!
Angelines is a beautiful restaurant with sensational food. Everything we ordered was wonderful but the trick was narrowing down the list because there were so many items that we wanted. Our server, Annie, was an absolute doll and a great waitress.
Great food, great drinks and loved that they did NOT have music blasting so loud it is hard to have a conversation!! Great noise level! Lovely, friendly hostess! Will go back!
We love Angeline's! The service is always friendly and excellent...they are very accommodating for food sensitivities and the food itself is outstanding!
Our waiter Ronnie was amazing. He made our anniversary dinner very special. He made our experience much better.
Our family of four came here for our 17 wedding anniversary. Slightly annoyed that a couple on the next couple were asked if there was a special occasion for them which was a birthday and the same waitress did not ask us - maybe because we had children with us. Slight things like our waters not being filled further annoyed us. We ordered the calamari (OK) and pork/lamb meatballs which were slightly salty. The main meals we ordered were sausage pizza (soggy), half chicken, branzino and papaperdelle - the pasta and chicken were very good - the fish was dry and extremely small. For $36 I would have expected a larger piece, in NY I have had huge pieces for $26!! Plus, no one came to ask if we needed anything - I would have liked some lemon for the fish to give it some taste. I guess they see a family and ignore them and concentrate on the couples and "birthday" parties of adults, our family eats out every week and know good food and value for money!!! Overall disappointing and really expensive for what we got. Not a patch on Luce.
Very average but expensive for the price our visi- just my opinion. Would I go again, no, but the crowd coming in after we left means they will probably do well- they need to ensure they do not become just a one time visit.
The food was well prepared and seasoned with reasonable sized portion. The service was attentive without overbearing. We will definitely visit again.
Aisha, the hostess was phenomenal! She welcomed us as if we were family. It was raining with no outdoor seating but she seated us with a view and a heart felt smile. She presented us with an anniversary token from the staff. Our server, Tenae, was outstanding. Very knowledgeable of the wine menu to recommend when our first choice was not in stock and knew the menu without questioning the kitchen for my husband’s food allergens. Food was amazing. Exceeded our expectations and look forward to trying out more of the menu selections!!
We had dinner reservations and were immediately blown away by the warm greeting from the hostess - she made us laugh and set our experience off on the right foot. :) The wine, food, and service was incredible. We will definitely be back and recommend this restaurant for your special occasion. :)
I had to wait close to 15-20 mins to be seated even though I made reservations.... that's annoying but food was great.
Very nice restaurant. Service was good
We did not think the food was all that good though.
There are much better Italian restaurants downtown.
My only disappointment is that the portions are small especially for the price, but the food was pretty good. I wouldn’t say it was “delicious Italian,” but it wasn’t bad at all. We eat out a lot and have traveled extensively, so the “bar” is high. It’s overall unique food (not your typical Italian) and the place is beautiful.
We had an amazing experience! Darren our server was wonderful and very knowledgeable. The food was delicious, especially the whipped ricotta. We will definitely be back!
very limited menu. They are trying too hard to be foo-foo.
Interesting small menu with very fine execution. Great design of the space. Competent and friendly staff.
Food was excellent across the menu. Service was exceptional
Unique cuisine . Great wine list. Wonderful service . Fun rooftop lounge
Excellent food, and a great plate of Bacon...
Great place to have a breakfast business meeting. Menu options are great and the staff was very pleasant.
