   Went for brunch for my 12 yo daughter’s birthday and decided to go to Angelinas after looking at the menu online and it turned out to be a different menu when we got there. Please update your menu online.

   I’m a vegetarian and the there was only one main course option unless you wanted a pizza. It was really bland salad. I asked about a vegetarian pasta option and I was told I would get the child’s meal. Ambience was lovely and the staff very attentive.

   Great selection on the menu. I had a pasta dish with nduja and it was divine, probably the best pasta dish ever! Everyone in my dining party enjoyed their meal.

   Fabulous lunch at Angelinas! Superfood salad with chicken was delicious and the brownie and ice cream dessert was amazing! Service was fantastic.

   As tourists in Dublin, we had researched good restaurants that welcome dogs. We found Angelina’s, reserved a table outside on the terrace for the two of us and our two dogs and it was perfect! Plenty of space and the staff were fantastic with the dogs bringing them water and treats! Our food was excellent, and as it was Sunday lunchtime, there were lots of families there. You could tell that many of them had been before as the staff knew them. The friendly atmosphere and welcome, good food and excellent service confirmed that this was definitely a good choice!

   One of the main reasons we went here was because it really pushes the idea of it's location beside the canal... we got a table by the door looking out onto a dull car filled street and could hardly see anything of the canal across what is a very very dark venue. Don't go here for the 'ambience! And don't go if you are vegagtarian. I opted for the sweet potatoe as a starter. And that's what i got! I mean a half of a sweet potatoe direct from the oven with absolutely nothing done to it, no special dressing, no attempt to crisp or flaovur it. And it was virtually raw. This sat on the most tasteless humous (if that was what it was) and they very generously three in 15 tiny roasted chickpeas..., it was about the worst ever vegetarian dish I've had. This was followed by a Gnocchi dish which was devoid of anything resembling a taste. I kept trying to imagine what the cheif thoiught it was supposed to taste like. It takes talent to cook something so bland, real talent. My parftner startted with some prawns... and that's all they were, prawns, again devoid of anything like character or special seasoning. And she followed this with a pasta. Her comment... 'Are we really paying good money for this?' And she was right. Absolutely nothing special or renarkable, just a plate of plan old pasta with a sauce that hinted of something someone somewhere made a half effort to put together but lost interest half way through. We had two kids with us. Their choice? Pasta or a pizza. That's how much thought has been put into kids. They are just kids so pasta or pizza will do for them. We tried to get an idea of the portion sizers so maybe we'd get one of each and have the kids get half a pizza and a half portion of pasta, but the person serving wasn't hanging round to chat or help us. 'Six inch pizza, I'll come back when yiou're ready.' And, yes, they were you're basic pizzas. The kids seemed happy... at least somebody was! So not a very happy experience.

   Highly recommend Angelina’s, really trendy restaurant. We visit as often as we can when in Dublin. Especially love all the friendly staff when we visit. Always look forward to Angelina’s: pepperoni pizzas and honeycomb sundae :)

    All round very good. Staff helpful with menu choices - very light dough in Truffle & Speck pizza highly recommended. Canal-side seating option with good weather.
