                                                                                              Have had quite few family trips to Angelinas over the years but unfortunately today's brunch was extremely disappointing. From the the time we were seated, we seemed to be forgotten about,even though we were seated at a booth right in front of the bar. We eventually had to ask for menus after about 15 mins and were given just a wine list. Then we had to ask for some water for the table...then we had to ask for drinks list(separate to wine list). Eventually, our order was taken but when I looked at my watch an hour after we had been seated, our food had still not arrived. There were apologies for the delay ,reason being the kitchen was 'smashed'...yes , the place was busy but also plenty of empty table and groups who were already eating before we even ordered. When our food arrived, we had to send some back because it was cold and my sons 'soft' poached eggs were rock hard...we were too frustrated and hungry to even send those back at this point. We also felt our portions were much smaller than previous occasions, kind of just looking a bit lost in the middle of a plate. Very disappointed overall and no effort made to send us over a drink or some nibbles while were waiting. We won't be going back but hopefully this review will help them to pull their socks up and get things in order. Read less Value

Service was quick and the staff were tuned into the fact that we were going to a football match. Defo recommended for a pre-match bite to eat.

                                                                                              We had a 3:15 reservation, and I eventually got my food at 5:15!!! At no stage did anyone explain why or offer anything else to eat . Our server had told us to hurry up and order as the kitchen was due to close when she took our order, she was quite rude, and didn’t apologise about my food being so delayed.

                                                                                              Angelina's is a nicely decorated restaurant with a lovely terrace overlooking the canal. The food is very good and the service is also good. There is one area, however, that I don't like. On two occasions now, I have received notifications of special offers from the restaurant. However, upon arriving at the restaurant, having booked based on the special offers, I found that the special offers were not, in fact, available. On the first occasion, I complained to the manager via message, and they told me that it was available, but the staff made a mistake. On this occasion, I spoke to the manager directly, and he told me that while the offer was not available, he would give my group a free drink each as an apology. While this was really appreciated by our group, it still begs the question as to why restaurants advertise specials and then don't have them when guests arrive. If something is advertised and confirmed on the booking, then it should be available to the guests. I really like Angelina's, but this type of behaviour would put me off returning.
