The food and service is always top notch. This will continue to be one of our favorite places to dine.
Holy moly where to begin!!! Pros: everything. Service fast and smooth. Food is amazing! Ambiance, mood, experience: initiate, personalized, special!!! The focaccia is to DIE FOR! The beets…the BEETS! Who knew they could be so amazing???? Salads were a great start…so fresh and perfectly crispy. Pizza crust was outta this world- sauce and toppings were on so yummy.
Cons: lasagna lacked some seasoning as did the special no meat ravioli. Bland at best. Sauce just needs more taste.
Bottom line: the cons were minimal to the overall experience. We tipped 30% because our server was a pro.
Enjoyed our evening, they accommodated us 1hour before our reservation; staff very nice, food was delicious! Bonus , met the Chef and bought his cook book that he signed at our table . Great experience!!
Chefs tasting menu was awesome! I wasn't too excited about the watermelon gazpacho but everything else was great. Our waiter Micah was very friendly and made the experience wonderful.
Just need to dim lights.. otherwise .. perfection.
Absolutely incredible experience. The pasta tasting menu was delicious!!! Highly recommend it with the wine pairings.
Food as always is so tasty and well seasoned. We started with calamari and the roasted Brussel sprouts. These were perfect to share for our group. We enjoyed the our entrees, and I can't brag on any specific dish as the menu does change regularly.
Service was excellent and we felt we could enjoy dinner without being rushed, but still didn't feel like we were ignored.
Server was so nice but needs training.
The restaurant was so cold we had to go to the car for clothes.
Food was good. Lasagna was excellent. Fish was very good.
Service results in C rating overall
Could have been easily fixed with some training.
Great waitstaff and absolutely wonderful meal, enjoyed it thoroughly!!
What a fabulous dinner! It has been over a year since our last visit due to COVID & we were really looking forward to our visit. It was even better than we remembered. The calamari appetizer was great & the scallops with risotto was outstanding. For dessert the tiramisu was perfect. And the service was excellent. What more could you ask for?
Wonderful food and the best server of all!!! Chicken parm and lasagna Just wonderful
The server was awesome and checked back with us in perfect timing for each course. I have a new favorite restaurant!
Wonderful! The lasagna was fantastic.
Birthday, although Open Table didn’t convey this to the restaurant or they didn’t notice.
The beef and the desserts are exceptional. I expected the pasta dishes to be more flavorful as well as the Caesar salad. Overall, a very good dining experience. A bit on the pricey side for comparable restaurants in the downtown area.
The service and food seem to be decling with each visit. Our glasses remained empty unless we flagged our server down. Never checked on us after food delivered from apps to entrees. Ordered the cheese plate like we always do, but was served with no bread or crackers - so we started at the board for a good 30 mins waiting to ask for crackers, which we were told were discontinued. So we ate cheese but didn’t enjoy without any accoutrements. Service was lacking - not sure we will be back again for awhile.
Such a pleasant surprise in Pensacola ! Great food, nice service and festive ambiance- wish we had this in Dallas
I'll start by saying we are very impressed by the professionalism and friendly staff. We were greeted and escorted to our table. Our waitress arrived, introduced herself, took our drink and appetizer order. We had a great start, but the evening derailed from there. No drinks came, but the bread was placed on our table by the waitress. She left, we realized no silverware was placed. About ten minutes later, the appetizer arrived, still no silverware, drinks, or waitress. After about ten minutes, I noticed our waitress enter the room and attend to another table across the room. She chatted with the table for another eight minutes or so. Meanwhile, other tables seated after us received drinks, appetizers, etc. We couldn't get her attention because her back was to us. Still no drinks or silverware, the appetizer is cold now, I'm ready to leave and would have, but this was a special occasion, so we stayed. Our waitress finally showed up and made light of the fact of our situation. We ordered, and a salad and dinner arrived after a reasonable time. The food was extraordinary, my compliments to the chef and cooking staff. However, the beginning overshadowed what should have been a great experience. Don't know if we'll return.
Great upscale Italian cuisine, the classics you expect as well as new dishes that are put together with the expertise you would expect from such a well decorated chef.
My boyfriend and I went to Angelena’s for our date night. We had the best time! The staff was friendly, the ambience was inviting, and the food was amazing. It’s one of our favorite places we’ve gone together! We’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a nice night out.
First visit. Love the atmosphere and the food was excellent.
Great food just a little overpriced for amount of food.
Food was delicious and service was excellent up until our bill was delivered. Server didn’t come back for a very long time.
The food was exquisite. From the drinks, bread, appetizers, pizza and dessert we could not of asked for anything better. The meatballs were out of this world! My husbands family is from Italy and his families meatball recipe is tasty but I have to say these meatballs were better. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Prices have increased, portions have decreased. Owners smooze and offer off menu items to select diners.
Meals were okay but nowhere close to exceptional or memorable. The calamari was okay the lemon-based dip used is a mistake.
The menu was unimpressive, only one traditional meal item for the old timers who aren't part of the avant-garde of gastronomic experimentations. The server was quite pleasant and was as efficient as the kitchen would allow, it seems to take them about a half hour to put together a cheese and salami plate. The meatballs in the "alla vodka" had a nice flavor from the beef and pork mixture but were very dry inside.
The "All Italy" Wine List was very heavy into super Tuscans and east coast Valpolicella style wines that were just too heavy and overpowered the food. The staff should immediately decant the wines so they can breathe and let off some of the tannen chalkiness, they seem to rely instead on outsized stemware which didn't help much in that regard. One or two nice Chianti Classico's would help them out a lot!
Other than that they seemed to specialize in sparking wines a lot. Be prepared for sticker shock with the cheapest bottle coming in at $26 ( only 1 at this price) all of the other were $50 or more. I opted for an east coast wine for around $75, really not worth the money even after we asked for a decanter.
Bar drinks looked good but were in thick heavy-bottomed glasses holding 4 oz. or less but are you ready...no Beefeaters gin, and the Irish Coffee, served in a regular coffee cup, was cold by the time it reached the table...WTH!
Unfortunately later that night we were all sick and as we all had had the same supper it seems to go back to one thing.
I see why when we ask people if they have ever been, all they say is "We had the pizza", even our Priest. No one have ever said that it was great pizza, odd but telling when you think about it.
As for the price be prepared for a surprise, I was! I've had similar tabs but for more people at Jacksons and the District. But the shining light was our waitress, oops...sorry my P.C. friends, "our server", who still deserved the 20%+ on the total bill.
Such an amazing place. Just go.
The food and wines are outstanding. The waitress we had not so much. She kept forgetting our orders and when asked she would say sorry and then go get it. Given the bad waitress experience the food was amazing.
Normally great service but this server was unfriendly, unhappy and generally miserable to be around. Lots of “no” and “can’t do that.” I have come to expect more from this restaurant as our experience is typically a lovely one.
Great food and atmosphere
Our server Brian was so awesome! The food and atmosphere were amazing too!
Had a great time! Appetizers - brussell sprouts and beets were delicious! Our sever Mike took great care of us!
Rigatoni alla vodka was really bland. Beef tartare was done in an unusual ceviche style, and thick chopped onions overpowered any taste of meat. The taste of the crawfish tortellini was overpowered by the smoked corn. The kids pizza was wood fired and great taste. Service was fine and server MacKenzie was friendly. Ambiance was nice. Would return only for pizza and kids homemade soda.
Great food and great service! Had the seared scallops dish and the ravioli with truffle cream and it was amazing! Server was very knowledgeable on the menu and wine selection. We will be back!
Food and service excellent. Noise level quite high and that was only drawback.
Amazing...we will be back!!!
Everything was on point and delicious.
Micah waited on us and he was fabulous. Expert wine suggested. Overall great experience. Food was amazing. Husband had stuffed Ravioli.
