Love this restaurant. Always wonderful. Food is amazing.
Great spot in downtown Napa adjacent to the river with an awesome patio. In fact, we've been here several times and I couldn't tell you what the interior looks like...always drawn to the patio! Food is awesome and French inspired. And for after dinner, the best espresso in memory...
The wife and I went for our wedding anniversary. The wait staff was attentive and the food was excellent. We were seated next to the window looking out to the Napa River. Will definitely go back again!
This place is very special, the servers were very kind and delivered an amazing lunch to us. I will go back again to try the beautiful burger and to have the soothing French onion soup again!!!
Great French style food, including real French Frites. Very well served and seated. I felt the prices had followed the 'new' $50 / per person tasting fees. Napa has become over used and they are rising the prices until they hit the max the traffic will support. Good for business but I can't have $200 dinners for 2...
One of my favorite restaurants in Napa and Bay Area!
We have had the pleasure of dining at Angele several times. This most recent experience topped all previous visits.
I have had some great meals at Angèle. That being said, we sat down for dinner and where immediately informed by our waiter that we would need to place our entire meal all at once. I started by ordered a beat salad that was just okay.. we also ordered escargot for the table that was served cold. For dinner I ordered a steak that had absolutely no flavor. With all our choices in the Napa Valley, I'm sorry to say we won't be returning to this restaurant anytime in the future.
Enjoyable! Nice atmosphere and good service! Mussels were amazing with a saffron broth.
Outstanding Country French restaurant in Napa, Ca. Our favorite place to dine. The food always is outstanding. And service is always courteous if a bit aloof. A little more warmth would be welcome to make the experience outstanding.
Terrific setting on the water with great French fare from a seasonal menu. Knowledgeable, friendly staff.
We were seated in the quieter 3 table area of the back - which was nice. Had a wonderful, leisurely meal. The staff managed our time perfectly & they were attentive & engaging. The food was perfect. Every dish - from appetizer to dessert was textbook perfect. The only thing I would change is the music. Too much modern French pop covers of American classics. Would love some George Brassens or Patachou, but that’s probably just because I’m just an old f...farmer.
Picked this place because highly recommended. Also dog friendly. Stopped by at lunch and learned that outside patio was not being used that day. At dinner we left dog in car in adjacent parking structure. We were seated quickly. Service was attentive but rushed, seemed like they wanted to turn tables that night, even though it was a Thursday. Beef bourginon was good but not great. We were out in less than 35 minutes. Probably better options on next visit.
Angele is the most romantic French restaurant in the city of Napa, with beautiful waterfront views and lovely interior design. The food is delicious - recommend without hesitation.
Dan was amazing! Took great care of us! Food was vibrant, fresh, delicious!
Just meh food with nice maitre d’s and bad servers.
The atmosphere & service were very good but the food was disappointing.
I've had a bad meal here, eclectic, and delicious. My friend is a steak a potato kind of eater, and she was happy too, Steak cooked to perfection
Was in Napa for a birthday weekend, and the food and service made the trip fabulous!
Bettina always makes guests feel very welcome. Staff are great!
I dined here twice while on a Napa trip and both times food and service was amazing!
Excellent, as always, with superior service. I tried something different this time, the lentil
lardons frisee salad with a farm egg - delicious! My friend had the sole menuiere - yum!
My daughter and I love to meet at Angele for lunch. It is warm and welcoming on a rainy day as well as on a beautiful sunny day. The food is delicious - we like everything and find it hard to choose. Today I had the baguette sandwich, but I love the omelettes and also the croque monsieur. My daughter had the wonderful soup of the day followed by the bone marrow. Excellent service too.
Fantastic as always in every way. Highly recommended
Our favorite restaurant in Napa. The best food and service. Lucas B. was our server and did a great job. We'll be back.
We prefer the bar menu to the dining room.
Try the deep fried Truffled Deviled Eggs with caviar- no what you would expect! Quite delicious!
Dining room portions are ok, but pricey. The cheese plate had 3 perfect sized good quality cheese selections but was stingy on the accompanying bread, dates, fruit and nuts. The bright green tinged (herb) breadcrumbs topping the Cassoulet Duck Confit were an unfortunate color choice. Wine is is limited to more expensive wines. It’s Napa....there should be more than a few moderate priced wines by the bottle.
Bartenders are professional and they craft a perfect cocktail. Hosts were friendly and welcoming.
Always a wonderful dining experience. Personal service, great food and cocktails, Angele is our go to restaurant
This place was fabulous. Great food and great atmosphere.
We arrived and we’re seated immediately. The wait staff was very attentive and had great recommendations. The food was perfect. I can’t wait to come back. Perfect execution
Deviled eggs are an absolute must try, what an exceptional recipe. Salads and veggies are extremely fresh , you can't leave this place without trying the pot du creme - absolutely wonderful cooking and a beautiful location for a restaurant . On the pricey side but worth it.
Gracious service from beginning to end. The food was delicious, seasonal and well presented. Wonderful wine list that combines old and knew while the tongue -in-cheek cocktail menu amuses. Don’t miss this local treasure.
A new favorite. Very warm, welcoming, and positive staff in an artistic setting. Service was exceptional.
Excellent food. Small dining atmosphere. Good service.
Angele is a personal favorite. Whether the beautiful indoor space or the great Npa River terrace on a beautiful day or night, Angele offers terrific bistro Wine Country French in a great setting. Start with a terrific cocktail or choose from a deep selection of Napa and French wines, then enjoy an excellent French Onion soup, a country pate, warm fresh bread accompqanies escargot or mussels. On to an always great variety of seasonal mains followed by a superb dessert selection. From the greeting at the front desk through the checkm service is always friendly, informed and professional. Angele is a Napa gem.
Loved our cheese plate with 3 french cheeses that included toasts, fruit & nuts and, our Beef Bourg. was simply amazing.
However, the green salad was so ridiculous.....Just lettuces with a nothing dressing.
We love the restaurant though!
My wife and I were disappointed. It started when we arrived. Even though I had made a reservation, and even though there was seating in the main dining area, the hostess brought us to the bar section of the restaurant. When I inquired about sitting at an open table in the dining area, the hostess advised those seats were not available. And yet, while we dined, no one arrived to take either of the two open tables. So, I thought, perhaps we couldn't have one of the open dining area tables because they seat 4, and we were only 2. Imagine my surprise when, as the evening progressed, two different parties of two arrived, and guess what: they each were seated at the open tables-for-four. This is not good customer service. Escargots were meh. Trout was excellent, but way too much butter and sauce. Our waiter Francisco was da bomb.
Classy spot. Classy without being formal. Not casual, comfortable.
Great way to end a day at the winery
Food is always amazing and service top notch ...highly recommend
very enjoyable, super crowded the night we were there.
Disappointing experience at one of our favorite restaurants. We were seated outside on a cold breezy night after asking for an inside table. There are lots of heaters on the patio but they could not keep up with the cold wind. There are sides they could have lowered but they had diners seated beyond them. They should have opted to fill less tables. We will wait for summer to return.
