Everything was wonderful! Only complaint is background music is up a bit loud. It was hard to enjoy a conversation with our table. We came to be together and catch up, not listen to the preprogrammed playlist. It was 2pm on a Saturday.
We have been to Anepalco many times for the excellent food and service, and this trip was more of the same! We especially want to thank our server, Juana, who is always kind and attentive. Anepalco is our favorite place for brunch, and we will be back soon.
This restaurant never disappoints, especially their brunch. I’ve been coming here for several years and their special occasions brunches are just as good or better than their standard brunch, and the staff is always great. Highly recommend this place!
The whole experience was great! Perfect dinner spot for a night out with my parents. Definitely recommend!
Great food and drinks. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Would dine here again.
always delicious food, great service and good ambiance :)
Great food, drinks so good wonderful place for brunch.
Great food! Gourmet status dishes. Everything we had at the table was creative and a new take on traditional Mexican flavors.
Always delicious, never disappoints. And cocktails are out of this world spot on. Service is very outgoing and friendly.
Great food great ambiance. Small quaint restaurant. Would go back.
This was some of the best "new" Mexican food I've ever eaten. Rather than plain old chips and salsa, Anepalco delivers a basket of freshly toasted, crispy corn tortillas with two kinds of salsa and an addictive creamy chili dip. My friend and I split some very untraditional yet delicious sopas with bone marrow and great pork tacos. Portion sizes were just right. Also, a creative cocktail menu. All this in a small unassuming restaurant in a hotel off the freeway. Plenty of parking. I highly recommend.
Food is pricey and not that very good.
Great food and service. We had s table outside with nice weather. enchiladas are amazing as was the guacamole and classic margarita. Service was spot on!
Overall I was pleasantly surprised for a restaurant that is in the Disney area and part of a hotel.
Perfect happy hour menu! Great friendly, laid back environment .
The food here is wonderful! The only complaint I have is that they seated us over 30 mins past our reservation and it took another 45 mins to get our food because their WiFi was down and they didn’t want to let anyone else sit until they got it back up (even though they had a bunch of open tables). We had to stand there until it was fixed.
The food was great. The restaurant was nice and comfy. Just the staff seemed annoyed.
The food, drinks, and service here was amazing. The cocktails were very good and refreshing. My husband had the Citrus Rye and he said it was one of the best drinks that he has had in a while. The guacamole was out of this world good! Our daughters had the macaroni and cheese which was also very good, and we had the vegetarian tacos which were delicious. Our server was very friendly and attentive. We will definitely come back here when we are in the Anaheim area again.
Loved everything. Food is fresh, handmade and delicious. Wait staff is excellent. Our new go-to place! Can’t wait to try dinner.
Wonderful Ext. The food is super and the staff was outstanding.
Always good food, but for a very small restaurant they are very busy! Sometimes it takes a while to get a waiter/waitress attention.
Great place for brunch..if you like Mexican cuisine
Food is just plain delicious. My husband said that his taste buds were dancing
Delicious innovative food and excellent, very hospitable service,
Took my friend for his bday and their first time trying Anepalco, I have been there plenty and I knew they wouldn’t disappoint.. The place is really nice and cozy but their food is amazing I had the Chilaquiles and tried my friends Cuban torta and both were out of this world
Great tasting food and very accommodating for such little space.
The food was delicious! I got the short rib entree and hubby got the hangar steak with chiliquiles. We had enough leftovers to make the best breakfast bowl! We ended our meal with the impossible (or incredible?) cheesecake. It was one of the most delicious desserts we’ve ever had!
Quick brunch with a friend, amazing food and brunch punch!
Brought our “first time” friends here to love what we love about Anepalco. Happy hour until 7 on Saturday. Carne Asada, Short Ribs, tacos are all delicious. High top tables in the back are less crowded and quieter. Our wait staff was attentive without being intrusive, food always comes out perfectly timed (just let them know if you do not want to rush through appetizers). All in all a favorite restaurant still and fun, unnovative experience.
Five friends enjoyed an exceptional brunch. Each dish was mouth watering at first sight and full of savory aromas then tasty delights ranging from sweet, spicy to muy caliente!!! I ordered the Perdido which was duck in a savory sauce with papas surrounding two perfectly poached eggs. My compadres and comadre ordered huevos divorciados, amazing chilaquiles with just the right amount of sauce and heat, esquite (shucked corn) with a light sauce, chile relleno in a jalapeño emulsion ....all were exceptional and worth a fifth visit to Anepalco.
Always delicious. The staff is very friendly and good with helping me order. I recommend help with ordering.
This is the BEST Mexican restaurant I've ever been to (and I've been to hundreds)! It's not a traditional "Tex Mex" place which is easy to tell from the menu and the pics of the food online. Everything is unique, creative, and delicious. There is nothing bland here at all - the dishes have lots of flavor and they are beautiful too. We had the Chilaquiles Arachera and the chicken Tinga enchiladas and both were amazing.
The restaurant itself is very nice and the service was perfect so we had a great time. Also, I've been too this restaurant about a dozen times and I've NEVER had a bad experience. They just know what they're doing and the place is run very, very well.
It was very good!
2nd visit for Sunday brunch. The Divorciados (green and red sauce over eggs and ham on tortillas) was delicious.
Amazing flavors. I can't wait to try everything on the menu.
This was my first time here. I had read up on the best upcoming chefs in OC and came across this place/chef.
The food was mouth watering. My date and I ordered completely different flavor. I ordered the no-paella which is an incredible Mexican interpretation in paella. My dates was excellent too, just don’t remember the name of the dish. Our server was great. He looked like a boxer but served like a pro. My only two complaints would be, 1,the hostess might as well have been checking her Facebook, she seemed burdened to be there & 2, the location is a bit odd. It’s attached to a hotel and it’s hard to get over feeling like your at a hotel restaurant. It would be better suited in in downtown Santa Ana like playground or near the Anaheim packing district, a place people go to explore new things. But maybe that’s just me.
Food great, best margarita!
love it there the food and drink are unique and delicious!
The salsas were great. The food was decent but not as expected. The servers were pleasant but came over way too often. We were obviously trying to enjoy our conversation but they kept interrupting. The music was obnoxiously loud. I’m not sure what they are going for but it was not the experience I had hoped for. I’ll not return and would not recommend.
The food was not hot- like warm. Still tastes fine. Service was great.
