Original takes on traditional tastes
The food here is delicious. The Brussels with Chorizo are YUM!! The service perfect - my daughters and I suffer from allergies (which we made note of on our reservation) and they were mindful to advise us of food that contained dairy and/or nuts.
Margaritas were 🔥
Food was amazing. Server was slow and not good at all, but it wouldn't keep me from trying it again since it was so good.
Amazing food and atmosphere!
Adam is the best waiter I had an amazing time I will be there again!!!
EXCELLENT FOOD, SERVICE. A BIT LOUD BUT VERY NICE
Fun neighborhood spot! Great drink choices. People are friendly and welcoming. Food was very good. We ordered the salsa and guacamole. Was delicious. Can get a bit loud but good vibe.
Experience was very enjoyable. Food was awesome, service a bit slow but it was a Saturday night and they were very busy. The one thing for service that could be improved was that we ordered starters, which came out very quick, but then our mains came out and they didn’t wait to until we were done starters so they dropped everything on the table and it was quite squished/ a juggling game to enjoy our mains on such a full table.
That being said would definitely go back.
Great brunch spot. The prix fixe bottomless small plates and cocktails was a great deal. Our waiter was super attentive and took great care of us. Only downside is it is LOUD inside. You have to speak at a dull yell to hear what your stablemates are saying.
Great date night.
Amazing food and great service. Great atmosphere.
What an amazing place! The food and service was fantastic all for a great price. The food did come out very fast though but overall 10/10!!
We love Añejo! The food and staff are always great!
Second time coming here, and still love it! Def one of my favorite brunch spots. Will be coming back!
Añejo has great food and cocktails. They have the largest selection of tequilas anywhere. If you have a question about tequilas, Santiago is the man to ask! The trio of guacamoles is a must, although it was more than just the two of us could eat -- perfect for 3-4. We've had pork carnitas many places, but these were the best! We wanted to try the Barbacoa, but will have to try that next time. We will definitely be back.
Went for the unlimited brunch. The food was delicious. The drinks were delicious. It was so much food. You leave very full. The waitress was on top of making sure our drinks were always full. Would highly recommend going here.
Went with some friends for bottomless brunch! Food was great, loved the concept of unlimited dishes. But service was so slow. For unlimited drinks we didn’t get very many. They needed some more waiters. Other than that great place, fun music and very spacious.
This is a lovely restaurant. Upstairs is the dining room. Downstairs appears to be private parties. It's also where 2 unisex bathrooms are. It was quiet at 5:30, but the later it got, the louder it became until it was difficult to hear my friend without us yelling at each other across the small table. The dining room wasn't large which meant the seating was very close. So close, that the guy sitting in the table next to me bumped arms with me a few times. More tables means more $, but I think a few less tables would mean more comfortable guests.
The staff were very nice. I also felt pressured to order as they checked up on us quite often asking us if we had decided and ready to order each aspect of the meal and additional drinks. I felt uncomfortable and rushed. Our bill was around $125 before tip. Not horrendous for NYC, but if you are on a budget, keep that in mind.
We shared an appetizer--the guacamole trio. The bacon guacamole was the best. If we go back, we'll order that alone. The house made chips were different, delicious and very crispy. Perfect. I had sangria and my friend a margarita--both tasty but not stellar.
Our dishes, my friend, the cheeseburger fundido (sp?) and me, two short rib tacos. Neither of us finished. I felt like my taco was stuffed with meat but little else to give it flavor. The esquites corn was amazing. Definitely order that.
All and all, it was a nice dinner out with my friend to catch up. Some parts of our meal were fantastic. Others, so-so. Go early because it gets deafeningly loud in there--likely due to the fact that they have a large bar height seating table in the center of the restaurant for big parties and large parties are noisy. There is no separation so I don't know how they can alleviate this issue. I'm not the first review to say it's very loud in this restaurant so keep that in mind.
I recommend with the caveats mentioned above.
They messed up our reservation despite calling to confirm the day of but the food was amazing
Besides my reservation being canceled (they sat us right away though) everything was perfect!
The food and ambiance was great. My major complaint is that despite having reservations, my friend and I were rushed through our meal. Our entree was served right after we had just received our appetizer and our entree plates were taken away while we both had our tacos still literally in our hands. We would have had more drinks and perhaps had dessert if we hadn't felt so rushed by the waiter and bus person. But otherwise, the food was very good and I would return and hope that I had a different server.
Good, fresh food but incredibly noisy for dinner... better if you want a bar.
Good food, but it was SO loud and crowded and the service was so erratic that my party and I couldn't appreciate the chef's efforts and enjoy ourselves.
I apologize about the noise. The acoustic panels we have usually do the job. Erratic service doesn't sound like us but I am sorry it affected your experience. Please reach out to me directly as I would like to get some further info on the service to ensure it doesn't happen again. Benny Ramos GM benny@anejorestaurant
Decor and ambiance were very nice, however the food was very average and nothing special. Guac portion is very small, and service was extremely rushed. Drinks also extremely average .
I was a little disappointed with my experience at Añejo. I have been to bottomless brunch places before with unlimited food and drinks and this experience did not even compare. First of all, most places that offer unlimited anything, make you very aware that you are getting this experience: they don’t ask if you want another mimosa, they just pour you another, and they keep the plates coming out! At Añejo, I had to keep reminding my waiter to refill my drink or to bring out another dish. On top of that, the only dish that was good was the French toast. Everything else was basically chips covered in sauce.
Everything excellent with one exception...TOO LOUD
Food delicious. Staff friendly. Pretty with high ceilings and glass chandeliers
Añejo is great! Love this place especially for brunch. It’s a great place to bring friends or make new friends over bottomless mimosas!
Come here ASAP!
Service was a bit rushed. Food came out too quick.
Awesome spot. Great ambience. Brunch amazing. Staff amazing. Just too little too long for server to come to us. Owner made it up with complimentary cocktail. Can’t wait to go back. It so very nosy though. But go here !! Omelette amazing. Giac. Etc.
Service was outstanding. Food was delicious. Drinks were amazing. A great experience.
Great food and even better service!
Came here for the first time for try the bottomless brunch and definitely will come again! Food was really really good, so were the cocktails...great choice the bottomless brunch with the endless food option!
It was great ! The food amazing and the drinks too! Our waiter Brandon was lovely !!
Brunch was great there before but this food was not great. Some items were cold and the French toast was unacceptable. I was really disappointed I enjoyed it before
I apologize for your most recent visit here. Normally the food is on point. I hope you don't think this is the way we do things around here. We take great pride in our food & service. I assure you the next visit will not be this way. Benny Ramos GM
Yes, the food was delicious and we had an overall wonderful experience.
Amazing! The food is really unique and delicious and the service was professional and friendly. Highly recommend the bottomless brunch!!
Cool vibe, had a great time. Going back next week
Food was excellent. Good vegetarian options. The ambience was good if you like loud places. It was fun for us cause we were jiving and singing the songs played in the background. The server always seemed to be in a hurry to leave when we were ordering.
We came to Anejo before a concert, had reservations, and we were seated as soon as we arrived. It was a Monday, so kind of empty when we arrived. Waitress took our drink and appetizer orders very quickly and the apps and drinks served quickly. Getting our next round of drinks was a little longer wait, our waitress was tied up at another table for a very long time. Our meal order was taken and served promptly, but after dinner when we were waiting for bill and last cocktail order again our waitress was not available. It was not a busy night at the restaurant so I'm not sure why she wasn't more available to check on our beverages more frequently and promptly. The bus boys were very attentive with clearing away plates and refreshing water on table. We loved our food. The salsa and guacamole sampler platters were delicious. There were 4 of us in our party and we all shared a bunch of small plates. The pork belly tostados were amazing and the short rib tacos were delicious. The Tuna Ceviche was disappointing. Our Blanco Margaritas were tasty and the chicken empanadas were very good. Overall a good experience, just slightly disappointed with the waitress not being available or checking on our table more often, especially since it was not a busy night.
Food was good, drinks were good. Neither were outstanding or special. Service was great and very accommodating. Price was on the higher side.
We had so much fun, thank you!
