The service was pretty bad we each got one drink in 70 minutes for the bottomless. The food was pretty bad too. We had fun tho
Food is decent but seems the seating arrangement still needs sorting. They moved me twice before I got my meal.
Sorry about that Colin. I don' t exactly what happened. Trying to keep up with indoor seating demand, in addition to staying within capacity can get tricky. Don't know if that's what is was but I will address it with my managers and host from that evening. Sorry for any inconvenience. Benny Ramos GM
Me and a friend made a reservation for indoor dining for 7:30pm. We arrived promptly at 7:25pm to check in for our reservation. We were told there would be a bit of a wait and to wait outside as their inside had reached capacity. We stood outside for approximately 30 minutes and re checked in. Again, we were told the kitchen was delayed. We were finally seated at 8:30pm and at an outside table as there was still no option for indoor tables and we were starving at this point. The manager did come around and offer a round of free drinks which we thought would make up for this huge delay despite us having a reservation. However, things got worse. We placed an order for guacamole and chips, and were waiting close to an hour just for this standard appetizer. We finally ate out dinner around 10:00 when the wait staff brought out our food, 2.5 hours after our intended dining time. Food was okay and it had a good vibe but this sort of delay makes me not want to come back.
Nikki, I apologize for the delay on your most recent visit. We did have an issue with kitchen ticket times which delayed our service quite a bit. We truly attempt to accommodate all requests for indoor seating however it is not possible when all of the reservations are making the same request. It seems as though we missed the mark on 2 fronts which had a direct impact on your experience here. Reach out so we may discuss further. Benny Ramos GM 212.920.6270
We were a 2some and were put in the party room with a table of 24 people. They had something to celebrate and decided to get up and take photos, standing and hovering over our table (not 6 feet apart). When we asked them for space, they got ride and the table started yelling things at us. It was quite uncomfortable. THEN the bartender behind the basement bar had a coughing attack (about 6 feet away from us). In a pre covid world we would not care. But the world is a bit wild and we regret coming out. We should have stayed away since we were not ready to be thrust into a party room full of early 20 somethings.
Duke, Please call me directly as I cannot place a specific time when you were in our private dining area. We never place tables in that area unless its with other a la carte diners. I am very sorry that this happened and urge you to contact me directly at 212.920.6270 Benny Ramos GM
We came on Sunday for boozy brunch — it was great — they opened the doors so it was breezy and the tables were far apart with plexi-glass between them.
You get a lot of bang for your buck. You get guac, salsa, chips, and French toast for the table. The food itself is really good too — the tacos and the huevos rancheros were the favorites.
They kept our bottomless margaritas full which was awesome and we had a fabulous time!
Delicious, the included French toast and chips and different dips plus guacamole made it the best bottomless brunch I’ve ever had!!
Delicious food as always!!! Servers always attentive. Covid protocols being followed to the highest of standards... I haven’t unwrapped my plate from plastic this whole pandemic. Definitely will be back.
The manager, hostess, waitress and server all did an outstanding job! It was too cold to eat outside so they made us very comfortable waiting for our table. The food and drinks we great and we will definitely go back!
I had a great experience and it was mostly because of Benny. We had a party of 8 people, and he said it will be hard to get us inside. I really didn’t think he would do it, but he moved us around multiple times to keep us comfortable when we were outside, then he came through and got us inside and they let us stay longer than expected. Service goes a long way, and that was the best service from a brunch that I’ve ever gotten. Thanks Benny!
The GM Denny was awesome, very accommodating. Highly recommend this place for a fun brunch
Had an amazing time. The bottomless brunch option is one of the best in the city. Felt safe & would definitely come back!
The service was amazing. Every staff member wore masks & the manager was very accommodating when we requested an inside table. The food was delicious, definitely will be going again!
Went for brunch and ordered the premium brunch, which we felt was a bit overpriced for the food and service that we received.
Food was delicious and our waitress was great. Very cold outdoor set up with no heaters.
One of the best places for bottomless brunch ! Drinks, chips & guacamole just kept coming the whole time we were there. The food was delicious and super warm even during outside dining. It was still a little chilly but very bearable. Only thing that ruined the brunch was the construction noise happening outside but that was out of the restaurant’s control. Would deff be going back for indoor dining !!
Would have been 5 stars but construction on the block was really loud
$47 for chips/guac/salsa + french toast + entree + bottomless drinks?? So worth it. Drinks aren’t watered down and the food is amazing.
Nothing stellar or stood out. A little over priced. Rice and beans were great.
Food and service are amazing. Everything was worth it, but be warned that the outdoor tables are not heated. Apparently there are vents below, but they do not actually heat the tables.
Went here for a first date. They said they ran out of propane so there was no heat in 25 degree weather and windchill that probably brought it down close to single digits. Asked for a glass of hot water for my date to warm her hands but was told by the waiter they couldn’t do that for some reason. I got the sense they were upset we weren’t ordering entrees but still taking up a table so not sure if it’s related. Also ordered double margaritas all night but felt unusually sober leaving. Wouldn’t recommend the doubles for twice the price. Food was amazing though, would go back once indoor dining resumes
The food was very good, but it was very cold! I wish they have more heaters.
Carlos is the BEST waiter
Fantastic good and service. A little cold outside (they don't really have heating lamps).
One of my favorite places for Mexican tapas, excellent tequila and mezcal selection and cocktails
Very happy with our brunch experience at Anejo. Everyone was very nice and accommodating (dining out in January with a small child). . We felt safe and comfortable. Service was prompt. The food is delicious and so was the drink. We cannot wait to go back !!!
Honestly, the whole experience was decent at best. We ate here during the pandemic, so we sat outside during the winter (not at all the restaurants fault). We were never offered a heater (they were lined up inside the restaurant) even though it was around 35. The tacos were all cold, and the meat on my prime rib tacos tasted like it had been cooked and sitting for at least 2 days... it was very tough. My wife ordered 2 tacos and was given 3 (a $7 difference in pricing). When we told the waiter this, he refused to take the third taco off. The waiter also refused to split our check for 8 people up, so paying was a pain.
I am sorry for your most recent visit here. It seems though there was confusion about the heaters. We did not get approved by the city to use propane which is not allowed to be under a covered enclosure or within 5 ft from a wooden table. Our structures are heated but 35 deg doesn't make it easy. Looking at your bill, it was split 5 ways. The mistake on the order of tacos is on us. If you'd like to reach out to me directly I would be happy to help you. Benny Ramos GM benny@anejorestaurant
Not a good experience at all. Waited ages for food and was cold.
Sorry about the wait. The cold doesn't help the temp on the food.
The food is very good, but the brunch set up has changed a lot since I last visited. In January it consisted of a course of everything on the menu and then at the end we could request more plates of what we liked best. There was also a food only option which was good for my friend that did not drink. This time we were only given one entree per person and one plate of French toast for the table. We had to pay for a second plate of French toast. Hoping that the original brunch setup will be returning.
Had to sit outside - No heat
Host kept reminding us of how much time we have left. Kept rushing us.
Delicious margaritas! I enjoyed my time there. Food was great, ambiance was solid. The salsa sampler and the guac were delicious. A great place for a date!
Should've went to taco bell.
I don't know how to respond to that, but I wish to hear more about your experience so we may better compete with Taco Bell. Benny Ramos GM benny@anejorestaurant
Great food and service
I feel like the brunch value wasn't the greatest. I came for the bottomless brunch which I thought I had ordered but when the bill came I had been charged per drink. I also felt like the service wasn't the greatest, maybe where my guest and I sat was a bit inconvenient but it made it difficult to grab the server's attention. I would add some clarity to the QR menu so that diners know exactly what they are ordering and plan table coverage a bit better.
Great spot for bottomless brunch. The food and service was phenomenal.
Modern Mexican with an upscale spin. Food was regular nothing out the ordinary. I will return again
Amazing food owner and manager gave us free drink for our travels.
The manager that night was incredibly helpful and practiced safe covid rules
Excellent food!
Great service and great good!
Was an anniversary and it was great as usual.. Staff was attentive and good looking..:)
