Overall such a great place, amazing food, amazing drinks, such a nice ambiance
Get the pork belly tostadas! Fun small plates and great cocktails. Staff is super nice and helpful. Great playlist too, and a decent happy hour menu.
A great Hells Kitchen spot!
Always love this restaurant… Try to hit it every time we come into the city. Food is excellent service is great
Great customer service, food and ambiance. Highly recommend.
Clean, attentive to safety standards and delicious food
Was here for HH so mixed drinks were a bit sweet but pricing is decent. Food was nice and service was great. Good place for HH and catchup with friends outdoors.
I would recommend the restaurant, however we were seated outback near these pride flag, and it was very hot. That’s not a good spot to sit.
Small, crowded restaurant loud and dimly lit. Even though we had a reservation there wasn’t a table for us indoors. We were offered a table outside that we declined. Luckily a table opened up and we were seated. We ordered their signature Margaritas and they were small and watered down. We ordered another house favorite, the Octopus, was hard as leather and the smallest I’ve ever been served. The meal, restaurant and service were mediocre at best, and this is nothing more than a “local dive” and shouldn’t show up on anyone’s recommended restaurant list for NYC.
Our second experience was very different from our first which was only a week ago.
The drinks were made not as requested but was made whole. One of them did not taste as good as I had the last time.
The food was not as tasty on both the carne asada and the duck Carnetos. In fact I had experienced bad stomach cramps that I rarely ever get.
All in all, it was a disappointment, hopefully an off night for this restaurant.
Hi RBMA, Thank you for your feedback and thank you for choosing to dine with us. I would like to apologize for the drinks not being made as requested. Its unfortunate your second visit wasn't as excellent as your first time around. I hope that the next time you visit we can exceed your expectations again. And if there are any issues with service or food don't hesitate to ask for a manager and I will be more then happy to correct any issues. We hope to see you soon!
Always a great experience
A great place to have dinner with a friend. Had restaurant week menu with mushroom quesadilla as appetizer and delicious duck enchiladas as main. Coconut Dessert was a bit underwhelming. But overall a very enjoyable experience.
This was a special night out to a restaurant that I have wanted to go to. Not disappointed! Margaritas were perfect! Short rib tacos—OMG. just Wow!!! Guacamole and fresh chips, coconut flan to finish.
The staff was so attentive and kind. The food and drinks were also amazing. I recommend the Blanco Margarita.
Will come back soon
Very good option to Mexican food. Good price too!.
Well for one… partitions are not consistent in this establishment when separating the tables… secondly the music… it was on and off and then no music at all. They would play a great song and then silence. For at least 10 min at a time which takes away from the ambiance. Thirdly I originally wanted the pork belly which they said was “sold out” at 330 in the afternoon? I then wanted the octopus which was also sold out. I settled for the duck which was horrible. We didn’t even eat it but also didn’t bother to complain due to not much on the menu to order from. Only positive was the short rib tacos and the fish tacos were REALLY good. Ordered margaritas but the amount was less than standard at $15-$16 a glass
Hi Bluevirgo, I want to thank you for visiting Anejo. We apologize for the music cutting out, the cable company’s hardware on the building was damaged which affected our internet. It’s since been fixed. With the increase in business and shortage of kitchen staff, time for prepping for Some food items have been affected. We’ve address these issues. And hope you’ll return in the furture for a better experience. Again thank you and hope to see you soon! Management
Food and service was wonderful!
We wanted to be seated inside as was our reservation, and this took quite some time and consternation. We were informed the drinks were only bottomless for 75 minutes, even though the menu says 90.
Only the drinks are bottomless, not the chips etc. Additionally, the staff don’t care and at times were outright rude - sat without water or alcohol for bottomless brunch for >25 minutes while our waiter took a break in the corner. We asked for our check and while we waited for it (the waiter “forgot” for quite some time), the hostess came and told us we needed to leave so she could have the table despite our delegated time slot not being done. The entrees were subpar but the chips & guac were great.
We came here for lunch on an anniversary getaway day in NY. This is the last restaurant my husband and I ate in before the pandemic shut things down. It was so great to come back. The margaritas are amazing and all of the food we ate was also wonderful.
Loved everything about this place! Margaritas were mug bueno! Food was phenomenal! I had carnita tacos and my husband and our boys had the carne asada burrito all was so flavorful!
I’ve been to Ańejo a few times and they never disappoint. Great service. Great food. Definitely recommend.
We LOVE Anejo!!! We miss DJ but LOVE Renata, George, Tyler and Lilly! Can’t wait to get back! The food is amazing! Service wonderful and the ambiance is perfect!
Gabby was a great server, coming to check in on us, making sure we were comfortable. The food was great, the location is easy to spot. Overall, wonderful experience.
Fish tacos were a little too fish. Maybe not fresh.
Food was not good. Neither were the drinks. Very watered down and sugary so you left with a stomach ache and head ache. Not worth going here. Food also left you feeling gross and I had the shrimp tacos.
Service, food everything was fantastic. Thank you for having us. Definitely will be back soon
Great food . Great drinks . Amazing vibe . Our server Gabby was super on point . Highly recommended 5/5
The staff was, as always, supremely friendly. The food is amazing! And it always comes out of the kitchen quickly. The restaurant is clean, including the restrooms. The noise level was moderate for a Friday night. It wasn’t difficult to hear my friend over the table.
Lively place, attentive staff knowledgeable about tequila (of course!). Recommended.
Value for quality was poor. They cover all the menu items with freshly cut jalapeños, which should be identified on the menu - it made the very bizarre vegetable sides on the carne asada inedible. The cocktails are not good. The duck enchiladas didn’t taste of duck, but rather generic sauce. Tequila/Mezcal selection is fantastic. The staff is wonderful. The guacamole is brilliant. Their creme sauces are fantastic.
As always a great spot for a Sunday brunch. Our server Gabby was FANTASTIC! The food and drinks are always delicious and we will of course be back soon!
Tequila selection is top notch, food is great, ambiance fits. Always enjoy trying hard-to-find tequilas here - as well as in the Tribeca location.
Great food, drinks, and service. Highly recommended.
I’ve been to Añejo before for dinner but this was my first time for brunch and did not disappoint. They have a great all you can drink brunch deal that includes guacamole, chips, salsa and also a French toasts in addition to your main course. Food and service were great, our waitress was fantastic and the owner’s wife came to check on our table and was also very amicable. I highly recommend.
Food was absolutely amazing and the staff was very friendly! Had to wait a little bit for the food to arrive but the place was fairly busy when we went.
Had a nice relaxing Memorial Day brunch. Food is delicious. Our server was training and he was delightful. Need to go more often...especially since it is at the end of my block.
We sat outside and it was very windy and cold, no space heaters. The food was great, but our drinks were not being served with our meals so we had finished our food and only had one drink. Most of us got the prix fix brunch that comes with 3 drinks and a coffee. Kept trying to flag the waiter when she was nearby but couldn't get her attention. Ended up having to chug our last drinks and coffee at the end of the meal.
The ambiance was nice - good music. We originally wanted to eat at the one in Tribeca because of the esthetics but, they were closing early. The drinks were okay. Food had good flavor - the service was kind of off and quite annoying. The waiter was avoiding us for any further interaction & seemed timid when it came to speaking to my husband.
Had a good time with friends. Food & drinks didn’t disappoint. Would go back again.
