Andy's Mediterranean Grille - Cincinnati Ratings and Reviews
Lamb shank was beautiful, flavor of chicken was wonderful, but, for third trip in a row every skewer was massively over cooked. Chicken would have been wonderful but was far to dry, the ground beef skewer was cooked beyond being edible...shame. Someone needs to master kabob cooking and teach the entire staff especially since skewers are the star of the menu.
I wish I lived in Cincinnati so I could dine at Andy's more often.
Our server could not have been more accommodating or friendly. The food was superb; both fresh and flavorful, seemed as if everything was made from scratch onsite. Every aspect of our experience there was extremely positive.
Cincinnati, please support this gem.
The gyro meat was like steak ums if anybody remembers those.
Presliced and horrible, barely hot and overwhelmed by the huge pita wrap.
If you can't get this right in a Mediterranean restaurant you need to close up shop.
Salad had no flavor whatsoever
They gave us a free baklava but it tasted like it had been baked quite a while ago
The only good things were the fries and the hummus
This place needs a new take on everything.
We were two of eight people in the entire restaurant
We won't go back and you shouldn't go either.
My daughter wanted to go to Andy's before she moved Out of town. The sampler platter was good although the falafel was very dry. We had children with us. The menu listed cheese pizza ; it is not cheese pizza it's a piece of flat bread with some cheese on it. Two of the children refused to eat it. The wraps include pickles, which was unexpected and one person in our party wouldn't eat her wrap. The baklava was extremely dry. Overall, disappointed.
There were only the 3 of us and one other couple in the whole restaurant! The appetizers were quite good, the main courses adequate, the desert must have been 2 weeks old and kept in a closet. The neighborhood is frightfully at night. It should be taken off the open table list.
I am not sure when, but Andy's changed their menu and eliminated many (if not most) of their dishes and raised their prices. While the food tasted great, I felt the portions were smaller and it was expensive relative to what we got. I did not complain and the service was attentive, however I don't see myself going back anytime soon. It is really disappointing to say, because Andy's used to be a favorite to celebrate special occasions.
This was our first visit in quite a while to Andy's. We LOVED the chicken kabobs, although we would have liked an option for a veggie and chicken combination. They were very accommodating at letting us add a veggie kabob. They have several (15+?) local draft beers on tap as well, so that was a surprise/bonus for us. The prices are somewhat expensive ($22 for 4 shish-kabobs), but I did have enough for left-overs/take home.
We often dine at Andy's after a performance at Playhouse in the Park. I'm not sure if it is a menu regular, but I had the Shrimp Sauté for the first timeand it was wonderful. Plenty of good sized shrimp , a great selection of veggies in a lemony sauce and good rice. I had enough left over for lunch for two of us!
We started with olives and tabouli, both of which were large portions.
Their tiramisu was very good--again, leftovers.
We always enjoy our meal at Andy's.
Jumbo Sampler was delish! Wine is pretty pricey but they do a good pour on a single glass. We were the only people in the whole restaurant. The food is very authentic and delish. The man that waited on us was not very friendly but he got us what we needed so I guess he was efficient. No smiles or warm welcoming feelings but we enjoyed the visit!
My husband and I came here on a date night to have dinner before a show at Playhouse in the Park. Despite being long-time Cincinnati residents, we'd never been to Andy's before. Well, we loved it!!! The service was wonderful, the food was fantastic, and it felt like something 'different' from our normal nights out. The hummus appetizer was the best hummus we've ever had, and the Greek Salad and Falafel Wrap were both out of this world. Try the Turkish beer for a great alternative to the craft brew scene - this beer just tastes like Europe. We keep talking about how we can't wait to go back, and how we feel it'd be a great choice for our whole family too, not just a date night. Can't wait for our next meal here!!
Weeknight dinner to meetup with friends......casual atmosphere, quiet enough to carry on conversation....attentive, friendly server......sat close to fireplace....nice, cozy atmosphere....ordered Morrocan Shawarma....very tasty.....will definitely go there again!
The food was great. We shared a hummus appetizer. Then she had the (half) chicken kabobs while I opted for lamb. Both were seasoned and prepared nicely. The hummus had enough for a meal at home later. The kabobs were well presented on a bed of rice. We also shared a baklava. Paying the bill was odd (change wasn't brought then no $1's to increase the tip) but overall a good experience. I'd both recommend and return. I was surprised only three other tables were filled while we were there. I'd also heard there was belly dancing but maybe 8p on Saturday was too early?
As always the food was absolutely delicious and the service was outstanding. We have been coming here for many years and have always been well satisfied and well fed with very substantial portions and excellent service. This occasion was for my daughter's birthday; we had a party of five and everything was great...you can't go wrong with Andy's
I wish we were told to order bread since there was no before dinner or during for our meal...... chicken was so tangy that neiher of finished even half the meal..... dessert was good. but we lost a lot of money on meal. Might go back but it will only be to test out the pizza they have.
We have dined here many times and are never disappointed. The service and food were both up to par, and the unexpected entertainment was a plus. We did not expect the belly dancer at the time we dined, but we had great fun watching and, for my husband, participating:)
We had made a reservation and were seated immediately.
The owner was the waiter and he did a wonderful job. He had recommended the olives and a dip which was just delicious! Then we ordered our main entree which was outstanding and we had plenty of food to take home. However we didn't get a chance to try one of the desserts because we were so full. It was a dining experience that we would highly recommend and go back again.
We visited on a Saturday evening and business seemed slow at the time. We were seated promptly by a cheery hostess and seated in a quiet booth. But then we were greeted by an older man, a member of the Andy's family I must assume. He had zero personality and looked like a "sloppy, old man," not a professional server or manager of any sort. When I asked questions about the menu, he seemed put out. The food was quite over priced compared to other Mediterranean spots in the area, and it was not very good. I had the Vegetable Kabobs, they were over seasoned and barely cooked. After we were served, no one came back for at least 10 minutes. It was a disappointing night.
Went there looking to find another good Mediterranean restaurant Instead was greeted at the door it by Andy as advertised but by a ten minute wait to be seated in a restaurant which was not that busy. Was advised by at least three people that someone would be with us. Finally seated this was at 7:04 pm. We left st 7:30 after only being served water and no one coming by the table, watched our waitress walk by several times and the owners as well, to see if we were even ready to order. We went instead to another Mediterranean restaurant we had been to before and was seated right away and recieved service right away and they were just as busy as this place was. Would not recommend this place to anyone. Very disappointing
I ordered the Tabouli which was excellent and hard to find in other restaurants. My friend ordered the Lamb Shank and he is still raving about it! The meat just fell off the bone he didn't need to use a knife at all. He also enjoyed the spicy, dark sauce and marinated mushrooms that came with it. We'll be back for more! Thank you :)
