Andy's Bistro Ratings and Reviews
Great service, great food, did I say great service! This is a must do restaurant in Metairie as well as New Orleans. Service was one of a kind and I was never without a full glass of water (dig at another reviewer). Waiter was outstanding and paid attention to our every need without any lip. Lost count of how many people took care of our table but we were never wanting for anything. We'll be returning soon and often.
Well, same dull 🙄review everyone posts.....Seated promptly, Neil's friendly efficient service, fantastic food, nicely paced. Even better, neighborhood, no tour busses, quiet, free safe parking. You gotta work hard to find that even in this great city! 👍🏻👍🏻. Thanks y'all for a wonderful dining experience.
1st time on 1/5/18. The crabmeat mac n cheese was delicious! My ribeye steak was excellent with side of mushrooms. The twice potato was dry for me but BF loved it.
The crab augratin appetizer was to die for. Loved it!!!!!
Waitress Emily was very helpful and courtesy as she tended to our table.
We will be back.
The 5 stars were because of the filet (better than Ruth's or Morton's), the redfish on half shell, the lump crabmeat (was in large chunks), and even the onion rings. Service was great (Jackie) and staff was friendly. Made our New Year's Eve very enjoyable!
The management at Andy's apparently work very hard training the wait staff because everyone who works there is excellent and friendly! The food is fantastic! The homemade warm bread to the oven fries and burgers are always a fave with us! We love Andy's!
We visited for the first time on Christmas Eve. It was a four course set menu which was okay for the holiday. We had 8:30 p.m. reservations and it seemed that we were one of the last parties to be seated. As a result, we had a terrible table, on the corner in the area by the servers station, bar delivery window, restroom, and kitchen. It was loud and noisy and food was passed over my head most of the evening. There was a choice of three items for the first course and we chose the scallops and bacon. The scallops were very thin and the mixture they were laying on was room temperature. The bacon was overcooked. The second course was gumbo and was excellent! Our entrees were the Prime Rib (melt in your mouth delish) and the Speckled Trout which was also excellent. Dessert was a choice of ice cream or pecan pie, but by the time that time rolled around for our table - they out of the ice cream and two in our party did not like pecan pie. Overall - I give major breaks to this restaurant because service on Christmas Eve is overwhelming with large parties and back to back reservations. We will return on a less hectic night and hopefully have a better experience. I would highly recommend just on the wonderful entrees.
This is our second year of dinner at Andy's Bistro, on Christmas Eve. This year outdid last year, and last year was wonderful! This was a perfect special family dinner in every possible way. Excellent service, delicious fresh food, and wonderful cocktails. We love this restaurant, and will certainly return.
ordered the cowboy ribeye medium. it came medium rare. i was told that was their medium. that was a wrong statement to give a customer. they had already sliced it(you would think they would see it was not cooked right) so cooking it more was not an option. will not be going back there any time soon.
6 of us went for 6 pm reservations. We arrived at 5:50 and were brought to our table quickly. They had a special priced menu that was available until 6 pm, and because we were seated before 6 pm with the special menus given to us, we could still order even though the rest of our group did not arrive until 6 pm. The special menu choices were very good. The Bistro salad was good and fresh. The Cool Brees cocktail I ordered was very good, not overly sweet, but enough sweet and tartness. The fish on the half shell that my husband ordered was very good and I ordered the Veal with Alfredo sauce and crab meat topping was good as well, and I brought the rest home. Definitely will go there again.
Service was terrible. We sat at the bar with empty glasses and bartender walked by us several times, not offering another drink once. (there was only 1 other couple at the bar)The only reason we were sitting at the bar for so long was because they over booked our reservation.
Receptionist was so confused. Space Cadet! She asked if she could help us 3 times after we gave her our name and reservation each time. She had forgotten in a matter of minutes that she was supposed to be seating us.
Reservation was for 7:15, we were not seated until 8:00. We had to eat in a hurry to get back to our kids since we had a babysitter.
We caught them on a busy night. I had made reservations for 715 and realized we would be running a little early. I called Andy's to see if would be ok to come early. They gladly welcomed us to come on in. The restaurant is beautiful. Joe greeted us and we felt like family. Rudy, our server, was wonderful as well. My wife and I really enjoyed everything.
I decided to treat my sister to a new restaurant while I was in town and found Andy's. After reading some great reviews I set up a reservation. I was not disappointed. This place is amazing. The wait staff was knowledgeable, the food (steak, brussel sprouts and crab mac and cheese) was superb and delivered fresh and hot, and the ambiance was great for get togethers, family outings, or date night. We even splurged on dessert because we wanted to stick around. Again wow! Both the bread pudding and the cheesecake were phenomenal. We will be back again. There is so much on the menu to try!
Road trip stop in New Orleans on wife's birthday lead us here.
Bloody Marys come on the spicy side. I ended up with both. Replacement G&T met with approval.
Wood-fired oysters were a big hit. Grilled Romaine was enhanced with fresh crab - very tasty. Gumbo likewise. Had better bread pudding - not enough booze.
We went to Andy’s Bistro for Thanksgiving dinner. The special menu had four choices either turkey, beef, pork or fish. The four course meal also came with a cup of gumbo, salad and dessert which were all very delicious and filling. I will have to return to try their standard menu.
