Excellent food and service ! Cannot ever stop thinking what a great restaurant Andina is and has been for years. #1 favorite!
The food was very flavorful and unique. We thought the place was pricey for the portions received but the menu was diverse. It is also well located in the foodie Pearl District.
We went here for my mom’s 65th birthday and it was wonderful! The staff were friendly and very attentive. The wait was a bit long but they gave us a free dessert to make up for it, so we were quite satisfied. Overall, great experience.
one of my favorite restaurants - nice waitstaff. comfortable booth -
Not what I remember. Service subpar (reservations at 7pm-first drink in hand at 7:35p). Sat downstairs-warm and crowded room.
Drinks-An A (whole table enjoyed the cocktails and wine)
Food-good but not fantastic as I remember.
Service-got better as the night went on. He was hit hard and it showed on his attention to details.
Nothing horrible just won’t be in a hurry to return. Restaurant was crowded and the patrons were enjoying themselves...could have been us.
Food was amazing and the service was great. My first time at Andina. And it’s ALL that!
A nice place for our anniversary. Look forward to going back for that amazing spicy vodka passion fruit cocktail.
Amazing and interesting food! Will not disappoint!
Andina is without a doubt our favorite Portland restaurant. There isn’t a place that’s been around this long and received these kind of reviews without taking great care of their customers. One of our favorite things is being greeted by the owner Doris after many of our meals talking about the food, life and experiences. Life is all about the experience and this is one place you must try. We love it and will always come back time and time again!
Great service and delicious food - especially the empanadas and lamb! Wonderful place to celebrate our 1 year anniversary
Atmosphere was good and over, food was good, except for the temperature of my wife's scallop dish. This was the first time dining at Andina for the other couple we were with. Service was a little slow. Waitress was slow to keep up with needs at table (order & serving wine, etc.). Still a great place. Look forward to a future visit.
Great food! Everything was excellent, knocked one star for the fish dish we ordered. It was so overcooked and was not seasoned that everyone in our group barely could choke down one bite. Everything else was good to great to excellent.
Amazing menu selections that you will only find at Andina, unique and delicious (including vegetarian and vegan options). Great place for an adult group that enjoys lively conversation and fantastic food. To experience the diversity of tastes, order several small plates for the table to share as appetizers. Worth every penny for the high quality of the food and the excellent service. Oh yes, be sure to make a reservation for this very popular destination.
Excellent food and service. Would definitely return.
Andina did not disappoint, from the pisco sour to the alfajores cookies at the end. We stuck with tapas and enjoyed the beet salad and the green salad with hearts of palm, the grilled octopus (more of an arm than a kebob), and especially the causa morada (potato timbale with chicken). Service was good, although the noise was pretty deafening, at least until a noisy table next to us left. Lots of energy and wonderful flavors here, but not a place for a quiet meal or easy conversation.
The food was good, I had the lamp along with a few apetizers. The staff was friendly and quick. Our server was particularly nice and took great care of us.
Great tapas and entrees.. did not like the dessert menu
Great time and they treated us very nicely for our birthdays too :)
Fantastic wait staff and scrumptious food. We are always well taken care.
Great food, good variety and the menu does change seasonally. It can be a bit too noisy for private conversation, unless one sits away from the center of the room. Also, great seating in the bar, where you can also hear wonderful guitarist many nights of the week. I often get a pisco sour! Best one out of the Andes that I have had.
Visiting the city of Portland, and Andina was recommended as a different and upscale ethnic restaurant. Curious about Peruvian cuisine, we made a reservation, and were pleasantly surprised. The restaurant was walking distance from our hotel in the lively Pearl district. It is not quiet, but they did their best to give us a quiet table in the corner. Our server was excellent and we had a salad , which was delicious, and easy to share. We loved our entrees, my husband had the Pork chop, and I had Paella. Both were good and presented beautifully. We also shared a dessert, and had drinks. Would definitely recommend for dinner or cocktails and tapas.
Great service and food to match! Will make it one of my regular places to enjoy a great evening
12 yr anniversary, everything was superb. Staff friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. Food was really really good. Something a little different than the usual.
Love this restaurant. Been there twice. Good food and drinks. The owner is adorable and comes around to the tables and greets the guests. Nice touch. Can’t wait for the next time. Nice vegan options too.
Excellent, delicate & well-balanced flavors in a lovely space. Service was very attentive, though there was a slight misunderstanding on our order. Overall, highly recommend.
The evening was amazing! They are really friendly and give us outstanding attention. Thank you Andina!
We took a friend to lunch who has never experienced Portland!! He said specifically, "Let's go somewhere that someone will be jealous to know we've eaten there!!!" I instantly thought of Andina!!! 'nuf said!!
Wine and wait staff very attentive, owner was pesent and welcoming. Most of us ordered some tapas and shared them, as there are many interesting plates and it's enticing to try as many as possible. We were there at the height of the dinner time, so it was full of diners and noisy - a little hard for conversation. The food was tasty and each dish was presented beautifully on its plate.
Everything we ordered was great, our server was very helpful selecting drinks and dishes!
Great food. Always go tapas. It’s a wonderful sharing experience with partners.
I go to andina's every year for my birthday. I really appreciate that you guys give a complimentary dessert. That is one of the reasons I justify the expense on my birthday. We generally spend $130 to $150 when we eat there so it is unfortunately, something we can only afford once a year. I do wish it was a more affordable restaurant but other than that, the food is delicious and the service is great! It would be nicer if the restaurant was a bit quieter though.
We absolutely love Andina. Anytime we have something to celebrate that calls for a nice dinner, this is our go-to spot. The food is always amazing (the empanadas are the best I've ever had) and the every drink we've tried has been delicious (the Sacsayhuaman, if you like spicy drinks, is incredible). Everything about this restaurant is fantastic!
Hosted friends from LA. We loved it. Dorie the owner stopped at each table to thank us for coming. Dessert. Yes.
Excellent restaurant. Highly recommended. Creative ethnic menu exquisitely prepared. Top notch service.
Outstanding and authentic Peruvian food. Dishes were quite unique.
Absolutely fabulous! Creative blend of delicious food recipes from Peru and surrounding area. Fish, veggies, or meats; everything our group of four ate was amazing. The wait staff was friendly, helpful and attentive. Highly recommended.
Donna and her staff never fail to deliver. Best seat in the house is not a seat at all, but a tiny corner across from the kitchen line where one can witness the beautiful ballet of a crew well-trained and confident in their positions.
Food was fabulous. Our waiter, Steve, a veteran of Andina, was engaging, knowledgeable, witty, and a pleasure. We dined on Labor Day making the stop in Portland, specifically to eat at Andina on our way home from Washington State to California. Well worth the delay. Every morsel from the ceviche, to the octopus, the lamb shank to the dessert was incredible.
Thank you Donna and staff!
I was inspired to find local Peruvian food after traveling to Peru this summer. I was not disappointed! The food at Andina is delicious and authentic! The staff were very pleasant and attentive, and we enjoyed visiting with Dolores about her restaurant, Peruvian food and people. I look forward to eating at Andina again! One last thought- the restaurant was very busy- we were super glad to have a reservation.
Get a table at a booth in the bar if you can. Easier to hear people talk in your group.
What a great evening. Food, drinks, service and ambiance were all amazing! Thank you everyone at Andina for making our celebration everthing we had hoped it would be!
