Andiamo - Riverfront Ratings and Reviews
My wife and I came in for a good meal and were not surprised that it turned into a great one. Our waitress Shaniece made our evening a terrific one. She was attentive and friendly, always making sure we didn't wait for anything. Since this is our favorite Andiamo restaurant, we both have standard meals we eat but decided to try something different this evening. She had the Chicken Parmesan and I tried Brick Chicken. Both meals were great which proves that the menu has something delicious for any taste. Oh, don't forget the desserts, we took ours home with us.
Thanks to Shaniece and all the staff, we had a normal Sunday night turn into a great evening.
Very accommodating host staff, seated us right away despite us being early for our reservation. Our server, Chelsea, was wonderful. She kept our timing on track so we could make our shuttle to our show. She was also very knowledgeable about the menu and interacted with our children in a playful manner. Loved that the restaurant had a shuttle to LCA for our event. Would use this service again for future events downtown.
Went downtown to see Cirque Du Soleil but the best part of the night was our dinner at Andiamo. Made a reservation online very easily & our party was sat immediately. Hussein was our waiter & he was excellent. As soon as he found out we were heading to the new Little Caesars Arena he offered us their complimentary shuttle to & from our event and offered to hold our leftovers in the fridge while we were gone! It saved us so much hassle with trying to find somewhere to park & made the night that much more enjoyable! On top of that Hussein & the manager gave wonderful service. We will definitely be back here again!
My wife and I had a night to ourselves (hard to come by), which put us in a generally happy mood. We've been to Andiamo before on more than one occasion, so we pretty much knew what to expect. The food was good (per the usual), but the star of the show for us was our service from Alex. We honestly were a little nervous because it was a weeknight, and most restaurants use those days to help the lesser experienced servers to gain more, potentially making service a game of Russian Roulette . This was not the case, however, with Alex. She was a great person to talk to and took her time to explain everything as well as simply connecting at a personal level. She was very professional, and gave us every reason to come back. Thanks to her, my wife and I had a wonderful date night.
We had our Christmas Eve dinner here after catching a show at The Fox. The restaurant was festive and beautifully decorated for the holidays. The servers were extra friendly and in the holiday spirit. We took our time ordering and deciding on courses and our server never made us feel rushed. The presentation and the taste of all the courses was better than I expected! My only disappointment was the snow storm didn't allow a good view of the river front! I will definitely come back to this spot for a future celebration!
The experience was great! The perfect meal before and /or after an event. We also
Thought the shuttle arrangement worked out well for The Little Ceasars Arena. The staff
at the restaurant were very helpful to communicate how the shuttle system worked
so we could time our dinner and desserts ( include, for sure).
An ideal seating arrangement was formed for our group of 9, near a window. It was a crowded night and we felt no pressure to hurry up, in fact our server told us to relax. No complaints from the group on food, everyone enjoyed their selections. Upon arrival we learned of their complimentary shuttle service, which we used. It was a consensus within our group that this dining experience is one to remember as special. Thanks to the staff at Detroit Andiamo for taking care of our needs so well.
Visited Andiamo in December 2017 and both family and I agreed that the experience was worth the trip. Good ambience, quick seating per our reservation time, food was very good and to our expectations. Valet parking always helps, acceptable noise level, comfortable seating. Nice clean restrooms too (important to me). Service for both food and wine was excellent and restaurant manager Richard Terry stopped by mid-dinner to ensure that the meal was going well (which is also very important to me).
Typically, I'm someone who does not go out to eat. Not only am I someone who's on a budget, but I also used to be a chef myself. I avoid places that have typical fanfare when it can easily be made at home.
It was my girlfriend's birthday and I decided I would venture out to Andiamo. It was of higher class than I am typically used to. That kind of atmosphere can be rather intimidating.
The server we had gotten, Jeffrey D was spectacular that night. He was the perfect embodiment of what a server should be.
As stated before, just being there was kind of intimidating. While nothing about the atmosphere itself was oppressive, one's own insecurities can be vicious; my girlfriend shared these feelings. Jeffrey did an outstanding job at making Rachael and I feel welcome.
His demeanor was one of a patient and attentive friend. He was always there when needed without being overbearing. Jeffrey shared personal experiences with the menu that allowed us a small insight into who he was as a person. Even when butchering one of the names of the menu item, he did not falter nor did he correct in a way that would make those with even the largest inferiority complexes upset.
The food was a wonder.
I had the risotto with the butternut squash pieces. Risotto can be notoriously difficult to cook and many chef's employ various shortcuts to try and get it made. The creaminess of the risotto and the slight bite and sweetness of the squash played well with each other.
Since it was Rachael's birthday, they showed her a tray of goodies, each more tantalizing than the last. She had decided upon the s'more dessert. A complex treat with a crunchy outside and smooth, rich chocolate inside. It was a bit dry as Jeffrey had described, but the scoop of in-house vanilla ice cream was a welcome addition providing moisture and a nice cooling to the warm dessert.
My experience was wonderful and had I more time and money, I could definitely see myself going back there again.
This past Tuesday I came in with a party of 12 because I had just gotten married. We were about an hour early for our reservation but they let us in early because it was dead. Since it was dead I though we would get great service but I was sadly wrong. They say us in the very back next to the bathrooms which was horrible. Not a single person there and we got stuck there. We waited 20+ minutes for drinks or even had to ask for drinks twice. Waited 20+ minutes just to see our waitress again. My potato soup I ordered was horrible had no flavoring what so ever. My husband ordered the chicken parm but only ate the chicken because the noodles were hard. My uncle ordered the steak and he said there was no seasoning on it and didn’t even bother to eat the potatoes or green beans. My mother in law ordered a salad and that pathetic thing only had half a chicken breast and a single piece of avocado some tomatoes and bananas peppers. I never been to Andiamo before but heard this place was great but was sadly disappointed, honestly wished I picked some where else for my wedding day. The wait staff even know they messed up and tried to blame it on the fact that their bar was packed but I don’t see why the bar would affect their ability to serve us. This place sadly disappointed Me.
Our service was excellent- everyone had a great meal (there were 8 of us for dinner),
Valet- when I pulled up at the sign VALET in front of Adiamo's, I was told I had to go around the corner to the Marriott valet, only to find when I got to the Marriott valet, they said, no, go back around to the Valet in front of the restaurant and I will call the girl and let you know that you valet where she is at.
Also, the view is at street level where Joe Muer 's(next door) is higher (2nd floor) so you have a better view of the Detroit River.
Very attentive and pleasant server. Good interaction with the manager, Richard H. Terry, who seemed genuinely interested in providing a positive experience. Lamb chops were excellent and wine selection opportunities extensive. Ren Center/Andiamo and the People Mover make an excellent combination for shows at the Fox theater.
We had a table for two and were absolutely impressed with the service. Three different waiters stopped by to make sure someone was already taking care of us. Moreover, the food quality went far beyond our expectations. It was a Saturday night, and there was live music as well. I would definitely recommend Andiamo for its service and food quality! Will be returning!
We had an amazing night at the Riverfront Andiamo, our waiter Zuber was excellent and the manager very attentive! We used the complimentary shuttle to the Nutcracker ballet and came back for dessert. Could not asked for a more magical night. The food was delicious .
My family and I had a superb dining experience...as always! Andiamo Riverfront is our favorite special occasion dining spot. This last visit was made even more wonderful by our server, Alex. She was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. I hope we will sit in her section next time we eat at this wonderful restaurant!
We took my mother in law here to celebrate her 80th birthday. We were able to reserve a table for 16 and it was very good. The food was very good, traditional Italian and some other nice options. The wine list was very good and the cocktails were very good too. The service was excellent
