Andiamo Italian Restaurant - Dearborn Ratings and Reviews
Went her with some friends last Saturday. Service started out ok, but declined rapidly. Waited over 30 minutes for the bread that was always, just coming out of the oven. Wife’s short ribs came out lukewarm. Was then returned but no one bothered to heat up the vegetables again. Friends drink order was MIA for 30 minutes. After complaining the Manager then came right back with a drink, but it didn't appear to be the right one. We went here a couple of months ago for a Momdat night steak special, and the steak was nothing to write home about. Other than going here for happy hour, don’t think we’ll be returning for dinner in the future.
Yousef is an awesome waiter. He always remembers what we like to drink, and our preferences. He goes out of his way to make our visit memorable. The whole wait staff and management also makes sure we have good food, and feel welcome. Andiamo in Dearborn is truly our favorite restaurant. The food is good quality and well prepared.
Went for a business lunch. Restaurant was very busy. Service was very slow. Soup was cold, but otherwise was good (Mushroom soup). Had the Gnocchi Rustica which was very good and I would recommend. The restaurant is very noisy making it challenging to have a discussion. While I liked the main dish, may look for other venues in the future do to poor service and noise.
Food was really good. Also, good wine list. Total bill was more than we expected... in truth, our server should have alerted us to cost of "specials," but didn't. Two raspberry martinis were only "so-so" according to my wife and sister. Calamari and portabella apps, salads, bread basket, filet, pasta Bolognese... all excellent. We'll go back.
The food was FANTASTIC! I would highly recommend the Filet Mignon and the beef and mushroom soup. The wine list is quite extensive although I didn't partake this time around. Waiters were great and very aware of your needs and were on top of things. The ambiance is outstanding! Noise level was a little high as there were a lot of large groups but not enough to affect conversation too badly. The only drawback was the Valet. They brought up the wrong cars 3 times which caused a huge backlog to leave. It took over 15 minutes for them to get my car. There needs to be a little bit better communication there as to where cars are parked. Other than that, fantastic place and food which is what we were there for! The prices aren't too unreasonable either. Plan to spend 25-50/per person depending on what you get.
I pulled up and valet asked that I park my own car they were too busy. Wasn't to happy about that and the wait person was too busy with other tables did not come to our table enough I felt. I have been there many times and had great times but this was the worst visit.
The food was do and so, granted my steak was done right this time, but the French fries were edible due to the extremely salty taste. My wife's soup was extremely salty also. The noise level was so high that we couldn't carry on a conversation. My appetizer, kalamari, was great for half of it. It appears that it was mixed with some leftover pieces that were cold and chewy. I did not complain to management. I am getting tired of complaining.
Let's start with the good stuff first; The service (Emily) and the pampering (Cindy) were outstanding. The noise level was excessive. The singer added to the noise level due to some high notes he tried to hit. Clearly not a quiet dinner. The salad was very fresh and tasty. The calamari was super, but the soup was very spicy and could not eat it. My wife's meal (chicken) was tasty but not exceptional. My fillet (I ask for well done) was not done to my liking and the meat after slicing it had a dark center. I am not sure if this steak was frozen and was cooked before it was totally defrosted. The taste was not very good. I did not mention anything to Management because I am tired of having to send my steak back for more cooking or when it is burned. So, where do we go from here? I will return to this restaurant but I will not invest $40.00 again for something I do not enjoy. I'll stick with a salad and calamari. To my friends at Andiamo it was about time to document some of the experiences. Better luck next time.
I would normally rate them higher, as I've been there before. However during my last visit there was a large bug crawling on the table when I came to sit down. They later killed it, but I was uncomfortable. I could not change lunch plans due to meeting others.
Always have a great time. Food has always been great. The bar area is a good place to sit. Waiting staff has very good.Week end music has been great.
Valae service is super even got my car and started and warmed it up. Will always go there for a great evening out.
My husband and I decided to eat out mid-week for a night out. As it was Halloween, the restaurant was relatively quiet compared to other nights that we have been there. Our waitress was absolutely attentive and a delight to talk to and everything we ate was fabulous. We had the mushroom soup and it was delicious, as was the crab cakes we had as an appetizer. We both ordered the steak dinner special they were having in Oct. and both of our steaks were done perfectly. We topped it off by taking home two desserts, the tuxedo cake and the carrot cake, and both were excellent. I might add that I'm a baker and I'm usually disappointed in desserts at most restaurants, but both of these cakes were extremely good. If you haven't tried the Tuxedo cake, you should.
Most of our meals were good. I had to send mine back, noodles under—done and doughy. However they brought another. Mostly disappointed with service. We told them ahead of time when we needed to leave. We were going to the theater. Service started great. Then took a long time for Main course, and had to send 1 back. We had to flag down to pay and left a half hour after we had wanted. We were super rushed and made it to treater just in time.
Clean restaurant and great service, but the food was kind of a disappointment and small portions. The prices are too high for the quality and quantity of food. Made reservations and asked to be seated by the window but we were placed in the middle of the restaurant instead. Not very accommodating.
Made reservations for a sweetest day date. Thought the place might be too crowded. As it turned out it was about 75% of capacity. Service (YaYa) was outstanding! We had the salmon and the scallops. Both meals were very good. Ordered a bottle of wine with dinner and it too was excellent. Fresh coffee with desert was the topper. We both had a very relaxed and enjoyable experience. I have been here before attending business dinners (larger group). This is the first time as a couple. We will definitely return. We both recommend Andiamo's of Dearborn to anyone wishing to enjoy good food and a pleasant dinning experience.
Our waitress was so helpful and knowledgeable. Since it was our first time there, she took extra time explaining about how the food is prepared that sets Andiamo apart from other restaurants. We loved the food and service, the owner came out a couple times to see how we were enjoying it. The entire experience was great and we will be back
