Seating is always a problem when they run specials
We had a "problematic" experience two weeks prior to this visit because the air-conditioning wasn't working (and it was VERY warm), but we were pleased that this past week's visit was wonderful!
The food was wonderful, as always. We were seated in the small room next to the main dining room. An elderly woman and her caretaker were seated at the table behind us and the caretaker controlled the entire room with her loud stories about the nursing facility. Not a great night :(
The steak special our waiter suggested was great .in fact a fellow at the next table asked me and I highly recommended it ...Michael our server was great ..we had a wonderful 45 wedding anniversary dinner ..thank you
We arrived at the restaurant and found that it was not open due to lack of electricity. I found this out because the restaurant next-door, I neither side, we’re open.
I was very disappointed
The food was outstanding and the lasagna was perhaps the best ever ! The service however was not great - our server was nothing but nice and very kind and was trying his very best however the service was very slow took a while to get our bread and initial salad although we were not in any particular rush it just was a little too slow to start off the meal. He may have been a novice and this could have contributed to the pace. The ambience and the decor and the feel of the restaurant was outstanding !
Wonderful service and top notch food
Upon leaving the restaurant and waiting for the valet to bring our car, there were smokers within 15 feet on both sides of the doors. The smell was disgusting. It certainly will weigh negatively on my decision to return.
We enjoyed our dinner and evening. Food was excellent! The server (Shania) was inattentive and very slow. Because of this, we became more frustrated as other tables nearby were served and refilled. Never did bring the extra silverware we needed so we took them from the next table. We think this girl was not made for restaurant work. Too bad. She was very nice but not the best server.
We have been there for about a year now they are very nice people who are very good and the food is always good
The chicken Olivia was some of the best chicken I've ever eaten!
As usual the food is good and the service is good that's why I go to andiamo's
We had a good food experience at Andiamo on Sunday night. The vegetarian lasagne was outstanding. But the noise level was disappointing. The dishwasher was making a racket, clanging crockery, banging plates and glasses. It was very annoying and distracted from the meal.
My lady friend ordered the Pollo Olivia -
Sautéed chicken breast, artichoke hearts, grape tomatoes, toasted basil, lemon zest, white wine butter sauce. I had Chef Jim’s Favorite: Finished with cracked peppercorn and Burgundy- shallot butter, rosemary sea salt crystals.
The steak was tough and rubbery, disappointing due to your ad. description. The wine, salad, bread, etc. was good
We have been going to this restaurant for years. This time the things were not as good as expected. We were given the list of daily specials. We were a party of 9. One person ordered Steak special.Also we ordered wine which was recommended by the waitress emphasizing that on Wednesday the bottle was 1/2 off.
The Marsala dish was cold when served. Seems like it had been sitting there.
When the check came, the waitress told us that since we ordered Steak special, we will be charged FULL PRICE.
What a disappointment.

We enjoy the salmon prepared with the tomatoe sauce. We have taken advantage of your date night promotion and have enjoyed our meals immensely.
My Wife and I attended the Bloomfield location on our 3rd anniversary 07/16/19, we had both never been there but have heard this was an exclusive restaurant which we thought would be appropriate to celebrate our anniversary. Unfortunately our visit did not come even close to living up to the hype. We were seated at a table and our waitress was attentive at first and took our order within a reasonable time but shortly thereafter a table of 12 came into her area and that's when the experience turned totally disappointing. We had another person serve us our food and whether this is restaurant protocol or not we weren't sure and didn't give it much thought. But we saw our waitress at the other larger table and she never returned to greet us again. We had to ask another server for refills on our water and also for a box and even our check. All this while our original server was occupied with the larger table. We noticed that other customers were being shown the dessert tray (which was never offered to us) and we just felt like we were abandoned and the fact that we had to ask other servers for refills and our bill was totally unacceptable. Also it clearly states on the door that proper attire must be adhered to and even on the website it says business casual is the dress code which we adhered too. But we saw numerous customers in shorts, flip-flops and jeans. So needless to say picking Andiamos was a huge mistake to celebrate our anniversary, especially for the amount of our final bill. And we ending up having dessert at a local ice cream shop to top off our dinner. Not at all how we planned to celebrate, the whole experience was disappointing!

Our visit to Andiamo Bloomfield was enjoyable. The food was delicious. The service was friendly and attentive. We were celebrating a birthday and were able to use our Mille Grazie points to enjoy a complimentary entree. The new menu also offered a nice variety.
Ever since Andiamno took over the former 'Machus Red Fox' 20 years ago, I've hoped that one day it would live up to the once marvelous Machus quality. No go!
My wife and I received a Birthday offer to receive a meal free with a second of equal or greater value. We haven't been to Andiamo's for a number of years, as our last dinner there was VERY sub-par. I figured at half-price, we should give it another try. Unfortunately, we won't be back.
We arrived for our Openable reservation and were seated within 5 minutes. Table was nice and the restaurant appearance was pleasant. The water server arrived within 30 seconds. Good sign. Sadly, that is where the positives ended. The sound level is deafening. Our server didn't show up until 8:00pm. I actually asked my wife if she thought our table was 'on vacation.' Side note: in Russia, restaurant tables are often assigned to specific servers, and when that server is not working, the table is 'off work' as well. Crazy but true.
So our server finally showed up; affable and pleasant, and took our drink orders. It took a full 10 minutes before we were served cocktails. Our server then said he had to get food for another table and would come back for our order. At 8:25 our order is taken, and it takes yet another 10 minutes for salads and a breadbasket to arrive; two thin breadsticks and a nice sliced bread loaf. I requested 2 more breadsticks... but they were never brought to us. Dinner was served at 8:55pm, and yeah, gotta say, my fish dish was marvelous, but my wife's filet was nearly tasteless. So much for quality and service.
Once the bill came, we were told that the maximum Birthday comp was $25.00, despite the fact that no such statement is written on the invite. Not worth arguing. Strike 3 or 4 or 5!
Sadly, Andiamo has become a high-end 'Bill Knapps', albeit Bill Knapps has great service and reasonable food for the price. I really am sad, because what was once-upon-time a truly classy place under Machus is No More!
We like the Date Night promotion and also enjoy having the salmon with your tomatoe sauce.
Service was ridiculously slow. Took nearly 30 minutes to get water and another 15-20 to get a bread basket.

My husbands soup was “cold”! Minestrone is usually served hot. It was, however, exchanged for a bowl of hot soup. Salad was wilted not crisp and fresh.
I made reservations but we were seated in a back rm. but not sure why when 75% of the tables were still empty. Also, when asked if we were celebrating anything thing when I made the reservations I noted ‘Anniversary ‘. Nothing was done- - -why bother to ask? All and all, not a pleasant dining experience.

Consistently good restaurant
My wife and I have always enjoyed Andiamo's restaurant, the food, and service. However, tonight a situation occurred that was very disappointing. We ordered the $50 for two special and when it came time for the dessert, were informed that it consisted of a choice of either gelato or sorbet. Both are sugary and since I am a diabetic, I am unable to eat either of these choices. I asked the waitress to check with the manager to see if I could get fruit or some other dessert other than the sugar ones provided. The response from the manager was that there were not to be substitutions.
In this day-in-age, obesity and/or diabetes are prevalent. Nearly all the restaurants that we have eaten at have no problem catering to those who are diabetic and providing alternatives. I was disappointed that Andiamo's is unable to make this allowance.
We like the "date night" promotion. The chef prepared my salmon dish with tomato sauce rather than cream and mushrooms. I really like it that way. Love the portabella appetizer, vegetarian soup and gelato.
Our server Nick was excellent and Essence (our hostess) was exceptionally fantastic.
It is always consistently good which is hard to find nowadays in a restaurant. It still has the feel of a grand dining place.
The spaghetti bolognese was without character, tasted flat. Salmon Rustica was drryyyy. We love Andiamo, perhaps it was an off night. Thank you.
We really enjoyed our dinner at Andiamo's Bloomfield. The staff was very attentive. Never had to ask for a refill.

We were seated near the kitchen and next to aloud table also under an air conditioning vent. Not ideal. Our server was very good and the food was good.
Food was excellent. Our server Anthony was very attentive to our needs as was several other staff members. My date has gluten intolerance and Anthony new exactly what she could and could not have on the menu. It was a great experience!
