Andiamo! A Neighborhood Trattoria
Found this little gem while searching for a place in Santa Fe with vegetarian options. Some of us ordered veg, and some didn't, but we all enjoyed our meals very much. Great flavors, complimented by tasty, but reasonably-priced wines. Service was just right. We will be back, and I have recommended it to several friends already! Do yourself a favor and make a reservation. We were the first ones seated when it opened at 5:00 p.m. on a Saturday, but it filled up quickly, and they were still on a wait when we left.
Reliable favorite. Always comfortable and delicious. Wonderful service.
Andiamo was lovely. The introductory bread from Sage Bakehouse was a perfect introduction. My dining partner and I both ordered the zucchini salad. The balance of lemon/salt/savory was sublime. We both had pasta entrees. My dining partner had the ravioli with tomato cream sauce. It was light, toothsome and perfectly proportioned. I had the penne with tomato sauce and lamb sausage. The penne was al dente, the lamb sausage was a spicy counterpoint to the creamy sauce.
The setting in an old house was well lit, but welcoming. The noise level was low despite the 80% occupancy.
Our service was a bit disjointed and I had to order wine twice before it got delivered.
Overall, I'd highly recommend Andiamo.
We’ve been to Andiamo many times & we’re usually very pleased with the food. However, our most recent visit was disappointing. Salads & pizzas were just as good as ever, but the entree specials—chicken parm & cioppino—were pretty much tasteless. Plus they arrived at the table lukewarm.
Andiamo! is a wonderful neighborhood bistro close to downtown. Everything worked the night we were there--greeting, menu, wine, food, service, and the bill. When in Santa Fe this Italian restaurant is a must stop.
Wonderful dinner in a contemporary casual dining room. The staff was friendly & pleasant. The food (pasta) was mad on-premise and was extremely good.
We were in town for 5 nights and ate at several of the higher end restaurants in town. Andiamo was a night for a more moderate & casual meal but I have to say, we were quite impressed.
Great food, nice ambiance, great bottle of wine for a reasonable price.
I highly recommend Andiamo if you are visiting Santa Fe looking for an enjoyable meal.
Been there for family dinner while traveling .
Starters were great. All the 4 we tried. Fried polenta was unique.
Entrees were so so and we took the profiteroles for desert which was dry and disappointing
Overall we enjoyed nice evening with good food for decent price
Awful gluten free pasta. They used an Asian-style cellophane rice noodle for an Italian dish. Poor choice and really impacted taste. My mother was happy with her food - traditional pasta noodle.
Too expensive, crowded, service was mediocre, and staff was unfriendly.
We have always absolutely loved Andiamo, however our ratings have notched down this time - after our last visit. This has more to do with the service at the table (not the hostess please note) because what we notice is that the gents who have been there a very long time seem somewhat tired and perhaps not truly enthused about their jobs ? When one has to get up from one's table and gracefully go to the back of the place "pretending to use the bathroom" to sneak yourself the salt & pepper without being noticed as you have already politely asked for it at the table then it was ignored ... well then the service ain't what it was.
And allow me to point out I said above "without being noticed" because I mean it, I don't want to offend any waiter whom I've known there for years when it's easier just to get the slat & pepper I need myself ?
Same with a couple of other things, again we do LOVE Andiamo ... just think the service has gone down.
The food was pretty damn good, and not too pricey for fine dining. However, we didn’t order alcohol and our bill was relatively low, so the service was mediocre at best. When we were ready for our check we had to wait over 15 minutes before we even saw our server.
slow service and was not that crowded at the time. Checks were not broken down.
Worst meal ever. The chief knows nothing about Italian cooking. Save time and money and go somewhere else.
Great for vusiness
A lovely restaurant. Their polenta is not to be missed.
Service good. Food tasty, but not over the top. Medium priced, medium taste!
Andiamo! was delicious and enjoyable in every way. I think it was one of the best Italian restaurants I've been to (and I love Italian). I had a salad with lemon and olive oil and cheese ravioli. Wonderful!
Great food and their Andiamo Pasta Sauce is amazing!
I originally reserved a table for 2, then friends came to town that afternoon. We were able to add them to our reservation with no problems. We all enjoyed our meals, and will be back.
Great food as always
Friends loved the appetizer, salads and main courses
Excellent freshly prepared dinner. Very pleasant wait staff but service was a little uneven. Having said that it is one of our favorite restaurants in Santa Fe
Everything about our meal was wonderful! The server was friendly and knowledgeable and the food and wine were superb. The lamb sausage, and in particular the sauce on that dish, was delicious.
Fantastic lunch of lightly grilled ruby trout, with right-sized and well executed sides of al-dente greens and haystack potatoes. The occasion was my friend's birthday. Our waiter (& busboy & host) Andy knew the menu and wines well, and gave us delightful— attentive and responsive—service despite being the one and only employee in the front of the house, and had nearly 10 tables to handle simultaneously! What a pro (a rare commodity in Santa Fe). Andiamo is ideal for lunches for friends, families, and business, as well as solo dining—while we were there several individuals were lunching while working with their iPads and laptops. Our time there was a memorable calm break in the day that left us refreshed for hours ahead. Exactly as lunching does in Italia.
The chicken offering was Tiny even though it was the smaller portion I still expected more for the price paid
I’ve visited this restaurant several times, the Food flavor has been consistently robust and the presentation exceptional. Service is prompt with wonderful hospitality. The menu provides a wide range of choices for all palettes. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Excellent neighborhood place with great food and fabulous service. Friendly and charming restaurant.
We had a great meal. We had the Spaghetti Bolognese which had a rich delicious flavor. My husbands chicken piccata was also very good. We shared the beet and buratta salad. A very good meal for a good price. The only thing that was a bit off was the hostess. She was dressed like she had just come from the gym, in workout leggings and skimpy workout tank top. They should know better.
Consistently great and one of our favorite restaurants in town.
Evrtything was very good except for the noise level.
Andiamo is a precious gem in Santa Fe. Awesome food!
Delicious food, knowledgeable friendly staff. Although they were unable to fulfill my request for the (no longer on the menu) mushroom risotto the meal was very good.
The menu has changed and I miss the fish of the day that they used to make with risotto and veggies. Service was not the best but Juan who was hosting is amazing and so welcoming and efficient!
We had the calamari, baby green salad & lamb sausage pizza. All were wonderful. We were pleasantly surprised at the large portions. The lamb sausage was unique & delicious. It was Mothers Day, very busy & we were not rushed. 👏🏻😀
OUR FAVORITE PLACE IN SANTA FE! BEST BOLOGNESE IVE EVER HAD
Awful service had to find out server every time we needed something
Fabulous food and service
The table are too close to the kitchen door which swings open every minute or so. I ordered chicken parmesan and receive a plate of pasta with 2 mini pieces of chicken the edge of the plate. They were about two inches long each. I have always found Andiamo to be, well, just passing
The food is outstanding at Andiamo. They even have "zucchini pasta" and gluten-free choices for those in our family who can't eat regular pasta. Every dish was prepared with love and care. Also, all servers and staff were very kind and attentive. Everyone who works there seemed happy, and that always puts good vibes into the food. We will definitely visit Andiamo more in the future.
Our local favorite: craveable and always delicious!!
This was the second time my wife and I had been to Andiamo, the first being Restaurant Week in February 2019. Andiamo offers excellent food and wines, polite and gracious service, and a comfortable ambience. An extremely good value among Santa Fe restaurants. Highly recommend.
