Andiamo! A Neighborhood Trattoria
Somehow didn't seem as elegant as when I visited before. Seems you've down scaled menu options.
We found Andiamo on Trip Advisor and reserved via Open Table. It was a quiet, intimate place with great food and attentive and engaging staff. The wine list was extensive and the food lived up to the ratings.
Very helpful waitress... good food... service time average....
Great food, space is too crowded. Tables too close
Always great - menu, service, ambiance.
Wonderful service & Food
The bread was delicious. My husband and I shared the penne with lamb sausage and we both loved that, but also shared the duck, which was good, not great. Profiteroles were terrific. Service was very pleasant and attentive.
The setting is very quaint and the staff is dedicated to making your visit fun and enjoyable. My glass never got empty and the waiter wasted no time getting bread to the table. The restaurant seems to have been someone's home, so none of the rooms are crowded with people. The pizza was good and authentic Italian Pizza. We enjoyed our two visits. We had a reservation in the evening, but two days later we were there for lunch and we got a table without waiting. There's no problem if you want to grab lunch on a whim. The staff is friendly and the kitchen is fast. It was really nice.
We were so disapointed. What happened to Andianos? Food was carelessly prepared. All meats were tough. Duck confit should flake off the bone, it did not. The chicken picatta was even tough. The pasta were dry, and cheated of sauces.
Servia was excellent! Joan Gilchrist (proprietor) must be getting tired. Andiamo's has no flare or excitement anymore. Two thumbs down!
Great neighborhood gem! Delicious food! Fabulous service! Short walk from Violet Crown movie theatre and parking garage. Very reasonable prices. Look forward to my next visit!
We eat at andiamo quite often and it's consistently excellent
We asked next-door neighbors who moved to Santa Fe from Texas several months ago to join us to become acquainted with Andiamo! And they were impressed! New regular customers for the restaurant.
All four of us had terrific meals, ranging from a steak to penne with lamb sausage to salmon, and an innovative salad as well.
we always love going to Andiamo. the service is fabulous and the ambience is mellow. the best caesar salad in town imho. the duck is great for dinner and the specials are well worth hearing about.
Always good and consistent. One of our favorites!
Andiamo has really stepped up their service. We were amazed at how attentive the staff was, and there was never a wait for food or drinks. Very nice experience.
This is a great little spot in Santa Fe. We ordered a wonderful good sized Arugula salad with cheese and walnuts. It was dressed nicely and the Arugula had a nice peppery flavor that I like. It was very fresh and plentiful. We then ordered 3 different pastas which were delicious and flavorful. I ordered the Bolognese sauce with Fettecine and enjoyed it. However the sauce had been finished with cream which made it somewhat heavy. I expected more of a tomato sauce with meat. We ordered the profiteroles for desert and split them. They were deliicous. The only complaint we had was the noise level. We ate indoors and had a side table in a little nook. The noise seemed to converge on the nook and we had a hard time hearing one another. There was a large table across the room that was somewhat loud but it was pretty distracting. The service was great and friendly. I would defenitely recommend this place but be a bit careful where you sit and ask about ingredients in their sauces. Enjoy!
A bright and lovely spot with a nice small outdoor dining area also. Our waiter was very attentive and the food authentic. They were out of our daughter’s wine selection and brought her alternatives to try which was very kind. The crispy duck was great. Try the profiteroles...fresh and crispy with a lovely bitter chocolate sauce.
We first discovered Andiamo! a long time ago (10-12 years?). Loved it then and if anything it's only gotten better. FOR SURE make reservations the place was packed on a recent Friday night. We had the Puttenesca w/ Yellowfin and the Ravioli w/ Bolognese. Bother were divine and the Rose and house Montelpuciano paired perfectly with each. To be honest though the Zucchini salad almost outshone them all! Enjoy and enjoy Andiamo's sister restaurants while in Austin. Salud!
Great food at great prices. Generous portions. Very attentive staff.
The seafood linguine was spectacular. Everyone was pleased.
As a local, Have been to Andiamo many times - always excellent!
My wife & I were celebrating our 59th wedding anniversary. The server was not particularly engaging. He forgot to bring us our drink. The bolognese had a smokey taste which she didn't care for. She thought the tiramisu was runny or soggy & no taste.
The special apple / arrugala salad was great. I enjoyed the Samon dish. The fruit ice/ ice cream desert was a disappointment. The lemon ice was bitter and the scoop of ice cream was tiny. The table next to us was loud & very distracting.
Andiamo is in our neighborhood and we especially love walking over early on a summer evening. We generally call for a reservation and request a table preference. The service is always friendly and professional, fresh local produce, straightforward and varied menu, lovely wine list and good wines by the glass. Very fresh and festive atmosphere and reasonably priced. We love it.
The pasta dish I ordered was tasteless. Hopefully just an off night for the restaurant as I’ve eaten there before and it much better.
Service was not great. The waiter was very pleasant, just not attentive at all. Had to ask the servers to get us things because the waiter was no where to be found.
Andiamo is a pleasure as always. It is one of our main go-to restaurants over these last 20+ years. We celebrated my wife’s birthday with two great friends. We all enjoyed our food enormously...the service was just fine...and Juan was both fun and gracious is serving the gluten free chocolate layer cake I had baked for the occaision. All in all, a fine evening. Many thanks!
The food was amazing like always will be back
Food and service getting worse bad bad bad. Management of restaurant horrible, disorganized, employees poor attitude and quality of food is getting worse to bad bad bad. Do not recommend to anyone.
Bad food and service. Horrible makes you sick from food
We both agreed the salads were truly delicious and fresh. Entrees first rate.
We brought the kids and sat outside. Food was mostly very good. Tuna pasta and bolognese great. Spicy lamb sausage pasta was good, but too sweet. Having kids here was less than ideal. Overall I would recommend, but not with kids.
Andiamo was pleasant. The restaurant isn’t authentic Italian. The appetizer, was good, but it started going down hill from there. Mashed potatoes were served with both our entrees. Polenta , roasted potatoes or risotto eould have been more appropriate. The wait staff was attentive & friendly.
Get the homemade ravioli! It was excellent. Skip the chicken parmesean....tasted frozen and the pasta & sauce with it were unimaginative. Arugula salad of the day was delicious. Service was efficient, if not engaging.
Andiamo was recommended by two people so we expected it to be better. The choices on the menu sounded good but the food was rather bland for our tastes. I can make a better pasta puttanesca at home and the penne with lamb sausage lacked zip. The salads were OK. Wine was good. Tiramisu light and tasty.
The food was great, and the ambiance was stellar.
Great duck leg, caesar salads, and tiramisu.
Bolognese sauce was average.
Attentive service. Great change of pace from the southwest cuisine.
Lovely little locals jewel, delightful food, quaint setting. Will make it a regular on our trips from Denver.
Wonderful neighborhood place with terrific food and service. Walking distance from Santa Fe Plaza area. Worth the walk.
