Andiamo! A Neighborhood Trattoria
Beautiful décor, semi-open kitchen and wonderful bar make this restaurant very inviting. The service was spot-on, and the food was excellent - very fresh ingredients, well prepared and nicely presented.
SUPERB FOOD AND SERVICE. IF WE LIVED IN SANTA FE, WE’D BE REGULARS!
I generally am happy at the restaurant Friday it was sooooooo noisy at our table of 5 it was difficult to talk and be heard!the pasta sauce is always great but pasta is way over cooked!our waitress was apologetic regarding how long it took to get our food and noise level. My
Service is and wait staff are real bad. Ashley and Heather have bad attitudes, treat customers badly and incompetent in managing the restaurant. They clearly have a hiring problem and poor management problem. Food mediocre.
Food was not hot, service was slow food taste was OK.
Badly managed, wait women except Giselle were really bad service. Stay away.
Great food at a reasonable price point / very nice service / where the locals eat ; but avoid the pizza- it’s nothing special / off the tourist beaten track
I would recommend it with caveats. Even though we had reservations, we had to wait 30 minutes for our table (which other reviewers warned about). The polenta and lasagna were excellent; the eggplant parmesan was a bust (tough undercooked eggplant "medallions" with a dab of mozzarella, no sauce). Our waitperson didn't seem to care if we enjoyed the meal or not. She never asked.
A very comfortable restaurant with a moderate noise level so it is easy to have a conversation.
Delightful dinner. The food was great. Our reservation was for 7:30 and we got in at 8:20. We understand that the restaurant cannot control how long people stay, but possibly they are taking too many reservations for around the same time.
Cozy atmosphere, wonderful, attentive service. Definitely recommend this lovely restaurant!
Comfortable and pleasant ambiance. The food is always good, as is the wine list. They brought us (unasked for) a profiterole for our birthday companion and allowed us the luxury of lingering as long as we felt like. A solid experience every time.
We tried Andiamo again only to be disappointed with the service and food. Steak was thin and overcooked. Bread was not offered as usual without us asking. Service was poor. We were ignored when others were served. Will not return.
Consistent fabulous Santa Fe establishment.
Thank you for the great review and the 5 star rating! We are so happy to have earned your high regard and knowledgeable assessment.
They charge 3.50 for a basic 2 slices of loaf bread, waitress set silver place settings backward, they didn’t offer to split Caesar salad in kitchen plopped it on the table- seems to have gone downhill
We use Sage Bakehouse sourdough. It's an exceptional, craft bread that we have given away for free for 25 years. We started to charge for bread only a month ago because fewer and fewer people eat it, and we now throw away so much of it. You get 1/6 of the very large loaf with wonderful olive oil for the small amount of $3.50. Additionally, we have never split food. Ever. The restaurant is just as good as it has always been. I'm sorry those two small things were so off-putting to you.
Probably time to change menu items.
Birthday for my friend
We had a wonderful evening at Andiamo. There of us had the lamb shank special and one had the chicken piccata. All of our entrees were delicious. We had the beet and burrata salad and it was amazing! Our waiter Juan could not have been better! Very helpful with food choices and extremely attentive. Would highly recommend!
Thank you for your 5 star rating! We really appreciate hearing about your great experience.
While the staff was very nice, apologetic and accommodating, we did have a very long wait. Think the wait may have sullied our experience, but the food was good and the ambiance lovely.
Maybe just try coming on a slower week night to really enjoy it!
We appreciate hearing that you really enjoyed your evening with us, and we're very sorry for the wait.
It's the first time I've been to Andiamo and been disappointed. There just seemed to be a disconnect this time. It took forever to get our wine and even longer for our food. Everyone that ordered the pasta was pleased. I on the other hand ordered the lamb chops and thought they were just so so. They didn't have any flavor to them. Just an off night I guess.
One meal, pasta with mushrooms, was so heavily seasoned with garlic it was not eatable. Server never checked on how our meals were. The manager took the garlicky pasta off the bill. Oh, charging for bread at an Italian restaurant is ridiculous.
Our food was delicious. Our wine was good. The wait staff was very accommodating, if a little slow, but we believe the slowness was in large part because they have a difficult time navigating the area. The tables are pushed so close together it gives a new definition to "cozy". We felt like we were seated with the couple at the table next to us. However, there is nothing the restaurant can do about this closeness short of eliminating tables or getting a larger restaurant, and after discussion, we decided we would still go back. Best Italian food in Santa Fe!
Did not honor reservation, took 45 min to get seats after having a reservation, and food took another 45 and came out cold and underwhelming for the price
We were there as a group of six friends and all seemed quite satisfied with the food. However, the dining room was so warm we really couldn't enjoy the dinner. This restaurant is usually dependable and reasonably priced, but if they don't do something about the room temperature issue we won't be going back.
A customer turned on the heat and none of us even realized it, because none of us had turned it on and would never have turned it on. It wasn't until it was hot in there that we figured out what had happened. We're very sorry. Great to hear that you enjoy our dependability and good value. Thank you for letting us know.
Food was good. Ambiance was great.
We visited Andiamo! on our vacation. It was recommended by a friend. The restaurant is small, cute and cozy.
The food was very good but it was hard to find a waiter/waitress to refill our wine and check on the quality of the dishes. Nothing horrible, just could have done better.
We would give it another try as the food was very good.
Vacation , second visit in a week.. we Love Andiamo
That's so nice to hear! Thank you very much.
We were a party of 8always a challenge for wait and kitchen staff. Everything was fine.
Last minute reservation on a Saturday night so we were pleased to get a table. Busy place, servers courteous but slightly overwhelmed. Good salads, great duck confit (one of my favorites on this menu) and my friends split the t-bone steak which they said was excellent. Desserts decent. Panacotta very lemony but I was disappointed that the fruit was apple slices, had hoped for berries. Good wines by the glass, too.
Thank you for the complimentary review. We use local ingredients and apples are in season right now in New Mexico...and they are fantastic!
We had a wonderful time at Andiamo! The food was absolutely delicious.
Thank you for rating us 5 stars! Great to hear that you enjoyed the food so much!
Really enjoyed dinner at Andiamo. Service was great on a busy Saturday night. Food excellent as well. Overall, a great value and experience. As this was my 1st time in Santa Fe, I'm glad I found it.
Thank you for rating us 5 stars!
Vacation in S F
Thank you for rating us 5 stars!
We used to love this restaurant but had a few issues with the food Wednesday night.
The chicken piccatta was too salty; our guests' pizza was supposed to come with no lamb sausage, and while they comped the pizza for the error, the sausage tainted the rest of the pizza. The veggies asked for on the pizza were minimal.
The mushroom and fried artichoke fettucine was good but undersalted (better than oversalted!) but not stellar. I never tasted any artichokes.
The service was, however, great and we appreciated that. The wine recommendation was excellent, too. But please work on the food - perhaps tasting in the kitchen before plating.
Food and service were excellent
A little pricey and I had them add meat sauce instead of of the pesto sauce came with the meal they charge me additional six dollars for basically one scoop of sauceI eat all over the country and most restaurants do not charge like that tables were too close together but otherwise we enjoyed our meal I will go there again
So many flies inside the restaurant, it was terrible. Also, no bread was provided and service was mediocre.
We had had a bad experience at Andiamo a few months ago and didn’t know if we wanted to go back there.
But it is a favorite and we gave it another try.
It was a whole different story this night .
We were greeted at the door and given a good table right away.
We had two servers ask what we wanted to drink .
Our server told us about the specials so we could decide .
The special salad with apples ,walnuts ,blue cheese and arugula was incredible.
I love their mixed greens for its simplicity and it was great .
The server recommended the mushroom pizza for me and it was delicious.
My husband really enjoyed the pasta with shrimp and garlic.
Everything was delicious and came in a good amount of time .
However I have always loved their parfait with homemade granita.
It tasted great but I like in in the parfait glass better .
Otherwise a great Sunday night dinner at Andiamo .
Im a regular and it wasn't as good as usual. Love the crispy duck legs and they weren't crispy! No bread served. A little noisy and slow, but it was saturday night. Lamb chops were great Tiramisu very good. Waitress very night
Ashley provided dinner service and she was superb.
Great restaurant in the Santa Fe area. One of the best Caesar salads I have had in a long time. The pasta was very good and the service was excellent. The menu price compared to other restaurants in the Santa Fe area was very competitive and for the quality of the food was bargain.
