Andiamo! A Neighborhood Trattoria
The food, service, and ambiance was superb. It was an extremely busy night-- the busiest we had seen at
our many visits to Andiamo. The main course took a little while to come out, but with 28 people ahead of us to be served, we thought that it was reasonable to be a little slow. All of our dishes were very good, and the servers were all friendly and very attentive even with the busy evening.
We loved the place. Actually came back the next day to try more dishes. Our 3 boys ages 11 and 14 loved the food as well. Staff was very friendly. We'll be back when we are in Santa Fe.
Great Italian food, excellent service with a very comfortable ambience. Pasta was homemade and wine selection added to the meal.
The choice s on the limited menu were fabulous. I wanted to try everything. I had the mushroom soup the lobster fettuccine and the poundcake and everything was delicious!
Excellent food options and prompt, expert service. Very attentive to our needs for a Valentine's dinner. Entrees were wonderful, fried oysters...not so much. A very nice experience. Thanks
This restaurant is often cramped and noisy at dinner. The ambiance at lunch was much more pleasant. Service was cheerful, cordial and attentive. My wife had trout and it was excellent. I had spaghetti Bolognese which was nicely prepared. We split profiteroles for dessert - and this was just right. Overall very pleased.
My wife and I celebrated Valentines Day by having lunch a day early at Andiamo. We shared a bottle of Montepulciano D’Abruzzo that was first rate. We shared the antipasto tray which was excellent. I had the Cobb Salad-Very Good. My wife had the Chicken Panino which she raves about.
For dessert- The Tiramasu is to die for. Service good but not obtrusive.
We will return.
We had experienced Andiamios a few years before with some friends and were wowed by the food so we had hoped that nothing had changed. We weren’t disappointed. The chicken parmigiana was excellent. We split it because we absolutely knew we had to save room for the chocolate pots de cream (I’ve butchered the name of the dessert) but anyway DO NOT LEAVE THIS RESTAURANT WITHOUT TRYING IT! They had a good selection of wines. The staff was fairly friendly and were patient with us as we weren’t quite sure which wine we wanted and had to try a few. For a town full of fantastic New Mexican food it was a great break.
We count Andiamo among our favorite restaurants in Santa Fe. I love the shrimp in garlic on pasta and my family loves the Bolognese sauce. I do wish the shrimp still came in the smaller size instead of only one size portion-large.
Food was delicious and had a GREAT waiter and wait staff.
We are vegetarians so the menu was limited. My friend thought the pizza was OK; I thought the pasta was overdone--nothing special. Honestly, I've had better Italian food at much less expensive places. However, our waiter was personable and capable.
Great food, cozy, and excellent non-intrusive service. Love going here. Not too expensive either.
I have eaten there many times over the years and enjoyed it, but this time something was wrong. My trout was drenched in butter, as were the shoestring potatoes...they are supposed to be crispy. My friend had ceaser salad w calamari, room temperature and soggy. The service was not up to par. Hope this will improve, as it has always been a good place to dine.
Food was great and our server Paul Gunderson was great!
Great as usual
This was our first time at Andiamo! but we'll be back. Even though it was a Friday night and even when the house filled, the noise level was very acceptable. Hard to find a place that isn't noisy. Food was excellent from salad to main course to dessert, and we very much appreciated having gluten-free pasta available. Service was attentive without being cloying. The ONLY downside is that parking is a bit of a challenge - but that's true of almost every place in downtown Santa Fe.
We love Andiamo in Santa Fe and in Austin. We take our granddaughters to Andiamo in Austin every December and always have a great dinner. Santa Fe is every bit as good. The only draw back in Santa Fe is the size of the tables. We were put at a table that would seat two comfortably but four was way too many. We kept having to move dishes/glasses around and pass things off to the servers just to have room to eat. We will know the next time to ask for a bigger table. Otherwise, it's fabulous and we will continue to be patrons.
The food was delicious. The kitchen accommodated my request for an entree that is no longer on the menu.
We have been to Andiamo numerous times over the years and has always been a favorite. On this particular occasion it was overcrowded, very loud, and the food was mediocre. Plus, I had a reservation and we were seated at the worst table in the restaurant - small, tight, right next to the kitchen. Not going back anytime soon, except maybe for lunch.
I would give Andiamo * across the board, but, we were seated right by the kitchen door, and it was so busy it was difficult to enjoy a quiet meal. We've been in that room before, but the restaurant wasn't so busy. Next time, we'll request a table in the main dining room.
The tables are fairly close together. We ordered split pea soup which was only warm, not hot , and not that good. We asked for salt and pepper but never received it. Chicken Parmesan and tasted like it was froz not fresh and not much cheese. The waiter did not seem professional and we heard him bark at a busboy who was trying to help.
Delicious Italian, perfect portion sizes for the meals.
Love this neighborhood restaurant. We go there quite often. Always a great experience.
Food was good; service was not. We felt like an afterthought most of the evening.
The food was fantastic. The service was mediocre. I think having to ask the wait staff to come to your table 3 or 4 times to take your order. They seem to be understaffed in the front.
Beet salad and Caesar salad very good. Disappointed in the duck confit, not the best in town at all. Friends had the chicken piccata which is their all time favorite here. Steak special apparently wonderful -- big portion which made good leftover lunch. Great desserts -- profiteroles! And tiramisu!
So yummy and cozy!
My biggest objection to this restaurant is that the tables for four are too small. The food is good and so is service but there is barely enough room for the plates
Great food great chicken wonderful good Cabernet fabulous chocolate dessert
Food was great. Location was perfect. The restaurant is situated in old house. We will be back.
We went for new year's eve and we were very disappointed. The first course of soup was very good, the second course of lamb shanks were fine but rather average at best. Deserts were disappointing . Wine list was good. Priced at 3 course for $68. Will probably never return.
We went to Andiamo for New Year's Eve. It is a relatively small restaurant but the staff was hustling and attentive. The food was very good, especially for a holiday three course meal. It was romantic and a great experience to start off the new year.
New Year's Eve fixed price menu - great choices. Food excellent as always.
New Years eve
The atmosphere was sedate and romantic. We were here for New Years Eve and there was a prix fixe menu at a reasonable price. Our waiter was very warm, not overbearing and attentive. Our food came in good time and was served hot. Everything was tasty!
Neighborhood restaurant, great service, food was good made with fresh ingredients.
Very crowded but service was excellent as was the food. This is a very reasonably priced
restaurant for a city....if I was here longer I would return.....
We came here years ago and remember how great this place was so when we went this week I was hope it still would be great, and it was. The service spot on the everything was super tasty!
Best caesar salad in the state! Consistently good food,. Not your average Italian
