   The service was good and the waiters were friendly, polite and helpful. The noise level in the restaurant was pretty high and annoying at times (my table was right next to a very rowdy group - not uncommon in New York), but eventually this became tolerable once the live music kicked in as it proved itself a good way to keep the attention seeking crowd quite and entertained ("panem et circenses"). The only incident I had was with the manager who came to ask me how everything was going as soon as I got my starter. Given that I did not even have time to try my food, my honest neutral answer must have upset him as he could not even be bothered to respond to a polite "goodbye" on my way out (or maybe he was deaf). The food is well worth the detour. The ravioli and the marinated strawberries with fennel and ginger meringue were the highlights of my evening there. The tapas really stand out compared to other places in the Upper West Side I have been to which were in the same price range (if not more expensive), not particularly special and did not leave you with a memorable culinary experience. Being able to provide a great dinner for just under $50 for a 1 star michelin restaurant is a great way of securing recurrent visits to this little gem.

   We chose Anadana because it was close to Lincoln Center, where we had a 7:00 P.M. curtain time. We selected eight tapas for our foursome and with wine, it made a perfect, light, pre-theatre meal. The tuna, calamari, eggplant, and other appetizers were delicious and varied and totally satisfying.

   Great atmosphere and service, very good food, from the bread to the dessert. Large tapas selection, limited main courses other than paella.

   Everything was simply excellent! Food, service, wine, etc. The tapas were first rate. The staff is excellent. Definitely recommended.

   My son and I had dinner at Andanada for the first time this week. What a wonderful find! It is a small restaurant with a beautiful dining room and a garden in back (enclosed) with a few tables for dining. The servers are warm and friendly and it feels like you are dining in southern Spain on the Mediterranean, The wine list has a good variety of Spanish wines. The menu is limited to various tapas, a few main dishes and their specialty--paella, which is prepared for a minimum of two people. There is seafood paella, mixed paella, vegetarian paella, and carne paella, which is what we ordered. The paella was perfectly prepared and flavorful, with just the right mix of rice, chicken, chorizo sausage, and vegetables.. The tapas we ordered to start--tomato bread and shrimp in garlic, which tasted llike it came right out of the Canary Islands--were also excellent. We were too full for dessert, but definitely plan to go back with more people so that we can try a wider variety of tapas and delight in the paella once again. Final note-the prices are very reasonable, especially in light of the ambiance, service, and delicious food,

   The service was perfect, the food was beyond delicious. This is a chef at the top of his/her game. Delightful presentation. One tiny example: At the start of the meal we were presented with a small "gazpacho," in a tiny soda bottle with a tine straw. It looked like a soda pop-- clear, bright red. But the flavor was an explosion of everything a gazpacho should be. Truly remarkable. Tapas and paella were truly outstanding. I'll definitely be back.

    We loved the concept of. sharing a variety of tapas rather than choosing one entree per person. Each tapa had an unsual twist of favors and spices. A big winner that we ordered twice was the eggplant chips with a hint of honey. The wines, all Spaniard, were a nice discovery. Service was efficient and friendly. We appreciated the glass protected outdoor space and enjoyed the colorful brick painting. We would certainly return to sample all the tapas on the menu and order more desserts.
