I made my reservation over two months before the day of my reservation, June 3rd, and it turns out that Andanada was permanently closed, to my surprise, by the time we were supposed to go for dinner that day. I was never contacted by anyone from Andanada's staff or open table to be informed of the change. This was exceptionally terrible as I was surprising my hubby for our 11 yr anniversary as well as celebrating the birth of our newborn daughter. We literally found out about the closing as we were on our way to the restaurant after having paid for a sitter for the night and making arrangements. I could not believe the unprofessionalism of a two star Michelin restaurant to not inform it's clients of such a change. This has never happened to me in my life and I'm beyond shocked that an establishment like this would treat it's clients in this manner. I'm owed a dinner that I believe now will never happen as there is no knowledge of why this restaurant closed and if it will ever open.

We received an email the morning of our reservation that the restaurant was closed for emergency repairs. Sad not to have a chance to eat there.

I am not happy with Open Table or Andandana. I made a special effort with a date to get to the restaurant from Boston. When we arrived on time for our reservation, the restaurant was closed with no sign indicating why. A half hour before getting to the restaurant, I received no call or message that the restaurant would be closed.

I found out later that the restaurant failed a fire inspection, which should have given the restaurant enough forewarning to contactt me. We were looking forward to dining at Andandana. We didn't have a backup plan for lunch. This was embarrassing to me and unprofessional on your part. Hugo Ahn

We booked a reservation a month in advance and were planning to have a nice dinner and show. However, when we arrived at Andanada for our scheduled reservation, they were not open at all. We tried to call, to no avail. They did not inform us in anyway that they would be closed and we had scramble to find another place that would get us in. We were extremely disappointed at the rude treatment.

The restaurant was closed when we arrived with an important guest from abroad.
I received no email or phone calls from the restaurant to notify the closure.
Also The closure was totally unexpected because I received a reservation reminder from Open Table on the day of the reservation.
I have been to this restaurant several times and loved their food, but this event is quite surprising and at least make me remove from the list of places to invite my import guests.

Great dinner, horrible beverage options

My wife and I had dinner at Andanada two days ago. We had an excellent meal, ordering the tapas tasting menu. It was made of a small jamon iberico toast, a cheese croquette bite, patatas bravas, artichokes, oxtail pie, slow cooked pork cheek, and a couple of other tapas dishes (octopus and another one I'm forgetting), followed by a great paella and a chocolate mousse dessert. We both loved each of these: the meat plates were beautifully cooked, melt in your mouth with actual strong flavor (at times, stewed meats can have flat flavors, that was not the case here), the octopus was noteworthy, paella a touch salty but very good too.

Again, these were true and genuine flavors, not crazy unknown dishes, so no surprises but a very solid dinner.

A major weakness was the list of beverages: the wine list was below subpar, almost insulting... only a small selection of wines in a list that lacked consistent level of information. Quality of the selection offered was mediocre at best...

In addition, no good gin and tonic or other cocktail options, that would have been very appropriate in a Spanish restaurant

Used to really like this restaurant in the Lincoln center area but the food quality has deteriorated and the small plate choices have diminished. Too bad

What a huge disappointment! I had so much been looking forward to a special Spanish restaurant, and because they are so rare (very good ones) I was so anxious to try the ONE MICHELIN starred Andanada; it fell so short of any expectation OR star; it was so embarrassing to take someone from out-of-town there!
First, I called to confirm my reservation and I couldn't reach them,no one answered the phone or email address. When I persisted, I got someone who couldn't understand why I was calling.
The wine list offered NO white wines by the bottle;maybe not THE favorite of Spain, but they had glasses of Albarino;I asked if they had a bottle and they gave me one of the last.
On a Saturday night at 7:30 they RAN OUT OF OLIVES!!and artichokes with Manchengo, it's a SPANISH RESTAURANT! The small plates were fair, the paella, which my tablemates wanted but I did not was MEDIOCRE and they offer 4-5!; dessert was very unappealing, just made with NO interest in doing it well.
LET ME PUT THIS IN PERSPECTIVE: I dined in two one-starred restaurants in one week: BOULEY, which was a wonderful experience and Andanada which was an unpleasant one. Watch those stars, I guess, this is my lesson!

Food was mediocre and we kept getting rushed - to order food, drinks, dessert and leave because it was close to closing time. Poor experience overall.

Not what I expected for a Michelin rated restaurant. Food was mediocre, and lacked flavor. There are definitely better tapas restaurants in the city.

I loved the quality of the food and was SO impressed at the many gluten free options. The servers were friendly. The ambiance was perfect. Great decor, not loud, perfect temperature. It was a little pricey for me. But well worth the cost.

Very interesting menu with great range of flavors and texture. The only serious weakness is the wine list. Hard to imagine a Michelin star with the wine list I was offered. Perhaps there is a reserve list that I was not able to see.

Though the restaurant was selected as the first star michelin restaurant in 2017, the overall dining experience in Andanada was disappointed. I went there for brunch, and the food they provide was below the expectation. Pincho De Tortilla is basically an omelette that you could find the same taste at any restaurant offering omelette. The Lamb brochette in Pinchos Morunos was overcooked and insipid. The waiters there are ok, but not impressive. The decoration is fine.

Mediocre at best.
The ratings must be quite dated

Food, service and ambiance all great. I had the seafood paella, which they made a special 1 person portion- usually it is for two. Very good. My companion had the cod and loved it. Good sized wine pours. Pablo, our waiter was very affable efficient. Will definitely come back again.

Went to Andanada not knowing what to expect. Our server helped us order just the right amount of food for our table. The tasting menu was perfect and we didn't feel rushed. The food was amazing. We would definitely come back here.

Andanada has a wonderful room, terrific for conversation and lingering, but the dishes I had disappointed. The morcilla appetizer was only a bland paste on bread, not the blood sausages I love. The noodles in the squid ink dish were brittle. The gambas al ajillo were mediocre, but the croquetas were tasty. The service was excellent, friendly and attentive. Prices are too high given the so-so quality of the dishes I had on my visit.

I made a reservation to enjoy a meal here and the restaurant was closed when we got there. There are no other really good restaurants in the area so it was a big disappointment paying for an uber all the way there from midtown. Horrible professionalism. I would understand being closed due to the blizzard. That is completely understandable but that fact that there was no notification, i feel like i made a reservation at an Olive Garden or Applebees. I am blown away by the blunder. I will never try to come here again and will not recommend to anyone.

I went to Andanada for my 22nd birthday. We did the chef's tasting menu, but it was truly not what I expected. I was mostly disappointed with the food, but the wine list was amazing!

Unfortunately every time we go it gets worse and we've decided not to go anymore. It's very easy to find a table even Friday last minute and that's usually why we end up there. But this time dinner was really bad for what we paid. Paella was totally burnt and stuck on the pan and when we told the waiter and he said that's how it's supposed to be like. We did the tasting menu which came out more like family meal where they serve on one plate. Tasting menu is usually individual plates with better presentation. Overall, as much as we tried to hold on to it as a neighborhood place, we will not be returning again. There are better places in this price range.

What happened to this restaurant? For years, it has been with Telepan among the finest restaurants on the Upper West Side. Last night, it was a shambles. Our first two selections of wine were not available. Our food order took forever and when it arrived the paella was burnt. Telepan folded. Is this place next?

The friend I was travelling with had been here a number of times and raved about the incredible food and impeccable service.

I booked a reservation at your restaurant for 8:45pm on March 7th. We arrived at exactly 8:45 and learne our table was not yet ready. No one offered to seat us at the bar or high tops. We waited awkwardly at front with our coats. After waiting 5 minutes, the hostess took our coats and we requested to be seated at the bar for a drink and a chance to look at the menu. We were given menus and promptly served water but then the bartender disappeared. A couple who did not have a reservation and who arrived at the restaurant after we had been seated at the bar, were promptly accommodated at the high tops in the bar area. They were already drinking wine and eating tapas before the bartender even offered us a drink. We told the bartender we would eat at the bar as it was getting late and we both had important meetings the following day.

Our table was ready before we ordered our food so we were moved to the table and the bartender advised us that our drinks were complimentary due to the 30 minute delay getting our table. We finally placed our order after being in the restaurant for 45 minutes. While my friend was eating the paella, one of the meats had a very odd flavour - She finished the mouthful she had but did not eat anymore. The following day she was violently ill - to the point that the hotel housekeeper wanted to call a doctor. I, myself, did not feel well after our meal but was not as sick as my friend.

The service was awful from the hostess to the servers. The food was somewhat tasty but far too rich and heavy. When we attempted to decline dessert, the server insisted on bringing us a menu but then disappeared, not to return. Ten minutes later, we flagged a separate server to insist on our bill.
If I hadn't been told this restaurant had a Michelin star, I wouldn't have believed it from my experience.

I have eaten here many times and it has been very good but perhaps short of excellent. Friday night it was excellent!. We tried the feduea, in which noodles replace the rice in a paella like dish, The featured one was squid ink with shimps and scallops, It was perfect. As usual the srvice attentive but unobtrusive and tapas unusual and special.

I have been to Andanada and it is a lovely restaurant close to Lincoln Center. While the food was good when it arrived and the service generally attentive, no one seemed to notice that my fish entree was served with the centerpiece piece of cod missing. When I pointed out that I had a dish of potatoes in a creamy sauce, they were apologetic, but for the money that they charge, it is inexcusable from the kitchen staff to the wait staff that this should happen.

Great tapas find on the UWS! We had an assortment of tapas, a great pitcher of Sangria, and were surprised to have authentic Flamenco entertainment on Sunday brunch! We will be back.
