The first seating, which begins at 5 p.m. offers tasting menu at $95pp, while the second service starting at 7:30 p.m. offers an elevated multi course tasting menu that features premium ingredients at $145pp.

We had a birthday celebration.
Our server, Shelby, was very nice, professional and taking a good care of the guests.
The food was not tasty. Beef tartar came blunt, duck and risotto were over-salted and we have to return two of our plates. The location is very nice, spacious patio with beautiful Vancouver sunset view. For the prices they charge, I won't come back, as the main component - FOOD was not good.
They could not find my reservation at first. Then they give me the only table in the full sun. All the items for Happy Hour were very expensive. Then 10 minutes before we had been there for 2 hours we were told we had to leave in 10 minutes. Surprise! And more than half the tables were empty. I could not see 50 people showing up at 4:30 demanding a table and no one did. I guess they did not want our business since we wanted to order more food. The service was slow and unfriendly. She did not smile once. No conversation. Missed asking one of my friends if he wanted food which he did. All in all, I can't see myself or my friends coming back. We were there at dine out and it was stellar. Too bad things have changed for the worse. Will not make it in the long run. Most things could be forgiven if service was good. Worst service I had in a long time. As good as being on an Air Canada flight 🤣
Went for Champagne and Caviar night on the patio. Great seat overlooking False creek, great service and a fun experience!
It was not the weather for a patio dining experience but the team at Ancora did everything they could to make it wonderful. It’s tough for restaurants right now but Ancora did everything the could to make sure our night was special.
Food was excellent! Very creative menu options. I had the lobster & shrimp risotto and I would order that again. Sable fish was great & the short ribs!
We celebrated a birthday and had a lovely evening. Gorgeous view, delicious food, friendly & professional service.
The ceviche was fresh and adorned by a delicious spot of pureed yam.
Paella with black rice was absolutely scrumptious and the seafood very fresh.
Service was very friendly and efficient.
Wonderful dinner considering the lock-down. Food and service were perfect. Got a parking space, staff very helpful in making us feel comfortable on the patio.

Excellent food but we find the restaurant to always be cold. Several different customers raised the issue. A staff member turned a wall heater on near our table.....but it didn't work.

Great happy hour for drinks, however, I can not say much for the happy hour food, besides it is too small. Funny is that the chefs at the kitchen are all men.
The food is great and the service is friendly and staff is are knowledgeable on the selection of wine and sake. The only thing we found lacking was option for salad. They have veggie dishes...but no salad selection.
We are so happy to have Ancora in our neighbourhood, it is one of favourite places for food and service. The menu is diverse and interesting. We regularly enjoy lunch, dinner and happy hour. Kam is an amazing cocktail artisan creating some flavour burst at the bar. Love this place!
Innovative, tasty and attentive, friendly staff. A bit disappointed with our table which was stuck against a wall in a back corner. We had reserved several weeks in advance...l thought we deserved something better.

Our waiter was Nathan and he made it fun throughout our 1st dining experience celebrating a bday. The appies, entre and desserts were amazing with texture and incredible flavors. I'd go back again. Especially for that special love drink the bartender makes. 👌🏽
The location has that BC magic so many of us look for, the boardwalk, the views and hustle of park and ferry activities. The ambience is is great, the design cool chic. The open style kitchen gives you that entertainment feel. The food is good, some of it great, the same is true of the value, some good, some not so good. The sushi is ok, but there is way better in the city, the oysters are good, as long as half of them haven’t been butchered by a greenhorn (pro tip guys, when rookies shuck, use them for a deep fried special, don’t send them out! At $4.25 plus tax and tip $5.50 an oyster I’d rather not be your training board and eat mangled oysters), to be fair, they did replace them with four new ones but still. The seafood tower was solid and felt it was actually the best value. The ceviche was the best we had in the city by a long shot! Tuna tartare was a miss, it lacked flavour and depth. Poached prawns were technically perfect but lacked innovation, crab causus was as delicious as it was beautiful, the hamachi was ok, its description had me anticipating fire and ice, the quality of tuna was superior but it just lacked finish, “jalapeño and yuzu” just didn’t spike my taste buds or feed my imagination and the shiso leaf texture actually took away from the experience with an unwelcome chewiness. The smoked prawn causus was another highlight, the Peruvian pepper sauce was perfect and inspiring. The spicy tuna roll was the most disappointing, average at best and the prawn tempura roll was better but didn’t blow us away. The lobster and shrimp risotto was surprisingly light and with elegance, confidently seasoned and bold with citrus, small niblets of shrimp and lobster (but for $27 half portion plus tax and tip $35 it should have at least a couple of larger nuggets of seafood on top and right in the middle. We had them put all desserts on a board and it blew us away. We had a bunch of other things ($400 worth which included 3 caesars (avg) and a spritzer)
Great experience!...the sushi was excellent!!...we then tried the Dine Out option, which was a good decision...the ceviche was fantastic; would definitely recommend trying...good Covid precautions...go for the Dine Out; stay for the sushi!

Overall average experience. Upon arriving I was greeted and then waited whilst the hostess took a lengthy phone call. While waiting, my boyfriend already returned from parking the car and joined me in waiting a while longer...after finally being seated we ordered sushi rolls and nigiri which were good, nothing amazing... again we waited at least 40 minutes before getting our first dish... wouldn’t dine here again. On a side note our server was very nice.
We forgot it was dine out but have to say that the dine out menu was fantastic and the portions were good sized. Beautiful restaurant and the food was amazing. And kudos on the way they have coped with the pandemic by using the plexiglass screens to separate tables without losing the vibe.

Great food pretty setting and good service
We ate of the Dine out menu . I had expected so much more of an impact. We both began with the mushroom soup which was very nice. For my main course I chose the Paella and added some shrimp. Flavours were alright but not outstanding- not sure where the shrimps were- there were tiny ones mixed into the Paella but it did not add a bang. My daughter had the sushi for her main course which was not remarkable. I had been told that sushi at Ancora was devine! We both had the pane cotta which was very good.
Loved trying this fusion cuisine! It was a surprise and I loved it! Who knew cauliflower could be so amazing?!
Ancora has stepped it up. Return trip after a few months, and it just seemed like everything was fresher, tastier, great atmosphere, flowed so nicely. Well done, clearly one of the best in Vancouver, and such a beautiful setting.
Will be back. Love the Peruvian spin on meals. The gelato was delightful.
On the recommendation of a friend, my daughter and I decided to try out Ancora. Right from the onset of arriving, we felt so welcomed. We were seated at a super nice table upstairs with French doors, overlooking the main floor, which also provided some of the outside view. We tried the "Dine Out Vancouver" menu and the food was absolutely amazing. What made the whole experience exceptional, was our Server, Crawford. We have been dining at at both casual fine dining and fine dining establishments for the past year and I have to say Crawford is the best Server we have ever had. We will most definitely return and will request his section as well.
The food was spectacular! Every bite was bursting with flavour. Our waiter, Crawford and other staff were very attentive and friendly to chat with.
Overall fantastic experience.
