Honestly we like Anchor Bar - most of the time, but maybe Sunday night is a bad night to go. It seems likely that the regular manager was not on duty. The music was overwhelmingly loud and incessant (might as well have been inside Studio 54 back in the day), and the service was awful - this despite only 1/2 of the in door booths occupied. Our waitress took our drink order to start, then took 15 minutes to deliver 3 waters, an ice tea and a coke. Then disappeared for another 20 minutes, although for 15 minutes she was in a deep conversation at another table 10 feet away - but never looked our way - not once. Fortunately, we were able to flag a hostess/assistant manager to take our order. When the food came, the Kale salad was piled up and falling off a plate the size of a bread plate, one of the sushi rolls looked like it had been made 2-3 hours before, and one of the sushi rolls actually looked fresh and just made a few minutes before. Not too good.

Knox location food is nowhere near the quality of the Preston Royal location. Menu is different and food just was not as delicious as I expected, having grown to really like the Preston Royal place. I hope they keep working on it and expand the entree selection as well as deserts which did not seem tied to the type of foods they serve.

ASB is some of the best 🍣 in the city! The Anchor Roll and Best are, dare I say.. the best! Great options if your Keto as well.

My friend and I came for a girl’s night out and had the most unbelievable sushi and service! Cannot recommend enough. Martinis were fabulous as well!!
