We are an award-winning family-friendly, traditional village pub in the heart of Wingham. We pride ourselves in providing a friendly atmosphere in which to enjoy high-quality Real Ales, Wines and excellent Pub Food at very reasonable prices. We have a large family garden with Petanque and Bat and Trap in Summer and roaring log fires in Winter. Regular Live Music, Quizzes, Darts and Bar Billiards, in fact, everything you would associate with a traditional Kentish Pub.

A warm and pleasant shelter from the wet and windy night. The steak and ale pie was one of the best we have ever eaten.

Food was rather unimaginative and unexciting. Fish and chips were more batter and chips and burger was nothing pretty uninspiring. However, service was tip top and they made everyone feel welcome. Beer selection changes regularly and is excellent

Nice pub with oldy worldy charm, perfect for after a visit to wildlife park. Home made pie was one of the best ever. Friendly staff and reasonably priced

Family Birthday dinner for my son. As always the food was well prepared and delicious. Highly recommend for some traditional pub grub. We will be back again soon no doubt.

Excellent evening at The Anchor A new experience for all four of us , and we all really enjoyed it. The food choices and quality and service were all really good . We certainly intend going back in the summer to their music afternoons in the garden.
