   We were served by Marissa a fabulously friendly waitress who served our birthday app & dessert and helpful in the photo gallery! We enjoyed the deep fried tomato basil tortilla bites alongside the tasty cheese dip. The Lava cake with ice cream was a decadent chocolate/pudding cake and a fave to share 🍰 Thank you!

   Waitress was simply wonderful, going above and beyond (petite with long dark hair/glasses). I never leave reviews but my main dish a 48$ signature dish( Smoked Duck Breast) was disappointing. My husband had Skull Rock beer battered fish & chips which was delicious. We enjoyed a very appetizing spinach nut berry salad and shared a generous portion of decadent lava dessert/ice cream a fave now! Great ☕️!

   Great view and ambiance! Mediocre food and smaller portions for the price. Should the breakfast portions and creative options be improved along with prices, we would consider this restaurant a regular place to get together with friends or for a lovely private time. Our server was awesome, attentive and personable!

   Wonderful NYE event with Mood Indigo Jazz. Food was beautifully presented. Ambience was tasteful. Music was fabulous. Our server Caprice was delightful.

   I recently had our ladies Christmas luncheon at the Anchor & Ore. It was a thoroughly pleasant experience from the online reservation (which was easily amended with an additional guest) to our final coffee. The food was delicious and the presentation excellent. Our server was timely and attentive to our needs and the restaurant was large and airy with plenty of room between patrons.

   Salmon dinner tasted like plastic and had no flavour. Roasted veggies still raw. Fettuccine noodles were over cooked so they were gummy but the flavour was good.

    Took awhile to get seated. And then when we got seated it took almost a half hour for someone to check on us to order a drink. Then every drink I tried to order from the cocktail menu they where out. Then we had ordered an app and then our entrees. And I ordered the pasta and again they where out of shrimp. We ordered another drink while waiting for food and they got forgotten. Got the app which was spinach and artichoke dip. That was amazing! Took quite some time to get the entrees. But when we got them they here pretty good. We weren’t checked on very often. Was very disappointed in the service. And it wasn’t even busy at the time. Maybe a total of 8 tables.

    It’s a beautiful restaurant with a lovely view. No cocktail menu. It wasn’t busy, waited over an hour for our food. Had the fried chicken sandwich- it just came on a regular bun, not a pretzel bun as described. It was ok. Side salad was wilted and warm from being in a hot bowl. My friend had the pulled pork. She said it was very disappointing. Our server was nice, though she didn’t ask how the food was. Overall it wasn’t the worst, but overpriced for the quality of the food you got.

    My friends and I went to Anchor and Ore for drinks and appetizers. We waited over an hour for our 4 appetizers. The food was not warm other then the spinach dip. The chicken wings were under cook. My friends and I experienced stomach issues the next day as a result of the under cooked chicken. It was not worth the price for the food. I would not recommend anyone going there.

    Short staffed- no one at front reception for almost 5 minutes. Competent, overworked wait staff. Meal was acceptable. Nothing stood out. We had the Pit Boss. Desserts were probably the best. Wine price was atrocious! $18/ glass of Medium value wine. Will think hard before going back

    We arrived on time - did not get a booth as requested. The service was extremely slow as our server was too busy. We sat at the table for 20mins before we were approached. We have no complaints re: food once it arrived

    Three of four menu items we tried to order weren’t available, but were still on the photocopied, black and white sheet of paper that was a menu. Why not just print new ones? For how quiet it was in the restaurant our server was not very attentive. It’s a shame, we hadn’t been back here in a year and it seems nothing has changed. Too bad, prime location, Could be a great opportunity here if it was managed correctly

    Food was good. Nice to have the Jazz music, however, It was too loud. First time being out with friends for dinner but could not hear each other. Suggest putting the band a little further way.

    We really liked the food! We ordered the Pit Boss for 2 so we could taste a bunch of things. It didn't disappoint! Sitting by the lakeshore was beautiful. On a nice sunny day it must be fabulous!

    The food was delicious, we really enjoyed the entertainment. Our server was wonderful— but she had way too much to do. She did her best in an understaffed situation. The wine was terrible. Both red & white.

    Very nice atmosphere, server was attentive. Great place to celebrate a birthday; was surprised at the beautiful birthday dessert that was complimentary and the chef came out to greet us well.

    Had a wonderful evening with a good friend. We opted to go on a Friday evening to listen to the wonderful music of Mood Indigo. The service was excellent, lots of food choices and we listened to the recommendations of our server. Price point was good in comparison to food venues. The location speaks for itself. The view is outstanding! Parking is a challenge although may not be the fault of the hotel. Hopefully, options are being further explored

    We love the venue…it has a million dollar view from every window. The food is so so but i do so seem some improvement from when the restaurant was first opened it is clean and bright in the restaurant. It is difficult to put a finger on what is missing in the ambience. The staff is pleasant but often dont seem as they are experienced. The wine list is overpriced for wha you are serving and lacks in variety,.. i like the idea of mood indigo playing there..that is a draw. Thunder Bay is a fickle place…a restaurant either makes it or makes it in the first few months.

    I really liked the view and our waiter was great. Nice but not to into our face. However, I found the food a bit disappointing as my gnocchi with pesto sauce didn’t really taste like pesto. It was more a cheese sauce.
