Service sucked, our $15+ cocktails were served in plastic. My husbands steak came out way under cooked and the server did nothing about it when confronted. Way too expensive to be that casual. Really disappointed.
Hot June night. No inside air conditioned dining area. Summer diners beware.
Pre-covid Service understandable, Florida pre-covid NOT! FL supposed to be ahead of the service curve. Food sucked BAD! No seasoning at all! Waited to be served and drinks were small and sucked! Never again!
It’s was amazing! Definitely will be back again.
Everything from the service, food and location were great!!
Nice location by Riverwalk.
Great food and service.
Bad food. Slow service
Awesome restaurant located right on the beautiful Riverwalk. The food was delicious from the scallops, oysters, and ceviche. The menu had quite a few options that sounded great, so we will definitely come back again and will sit outside with the nice views of the water.
Incredible view of water! Had brunch … service was wonderful (from hostess to server) and grouper sandwich one of the best. Also great Bloody Mary. Highly recommend for a great brunch/lunch
Service was pretty slow, it was a busy Sunday so I understand but took way too long to receive our first round of drinks etc.
Waitress was nice but a little over board with my boyfriend, flirting, highly inappropriate.
Overall it was okay, the food was great. Service was just sub par.
Marco is the best server there, he is knowledgeable not only about the menu but also other activities to do in tampa
Understaffed, not anyone’s fault but management.
Staff is awesome.
Food was lukewarm upon arrival which was probably again due to being understaffed.
Food was amazing, atmosphere was very nice as well as the view. Second time here and will definitely be coming back.
We arrived 15 minutes before our reservation there was no hostess as the restaurant was not open yet. We were not acknowledged by anyone. Even once the hostess arrived. We requested a certain table type, we were not seated there. We weighted over a hour for our breakfast while all the tables around us received their food after being seated way after we were. They did not bring our appetizer. The manager did come out and apologize, we do understand that hospitality is a little under staffed right now. However it is about just acknowledgement, hello we apologize for the wait we’ll be right with you or oh they haven’t brought you appetizer, let me check on that for you.
We ordered 3 Burgers and 1 Grouper sandwich. The burgers were pretty good. The Grouper sandwich was served Luke warm along with Luke warm fries. Prices are expensive.
sit right next to the Riverwalk and watch boat action in the channel!! Great service. Great hotel.
Anchor and Brine is a nice place to have a relaxing meal on the water.
Horrible, slow service. Basic food and drink at exaggerated prices
Love the place! Excellent service, very delicious food. Great experience!
The outside area was really cool and had an awesome ambiance/vibe but the food was not worth the value, especially the entrees. The appetizers and drinks were good though, so I would recommend this for grabbing drinks with a cool view but would not recommend for dinner.
As my mother is Titanium status with Marriott, we frequent their hotels and restaurants regularly and expect the same level of service. The food was wonderful as expected but the service was nowhere near up to par with what you expect from Marriott and that ruined the experience. The hostess seemed angry and unwelcoming and refused to give us the specific type of table I had requested in the reservation. She would not give a reason and rolled her eyes at us. Our server was pleasant, however it was very hot and humid and she would be missing for long periods of time when we were really needing water. I am a chemo patient so I especially need to hydrate. She also never brought us silverware, so we had to wait once the food arrived. Again, she was friendly, but her attentiveness was not as expected for Marriott. I love the Anchor and Brine, but the uncomfortable hospitality will make me reconsider coming for a meal anytime soon.
Beautiful outdoor seating overlooking the bay. Good service and good food....
Overall, a good experience. Great location. Service was a little slow.
Had a breakfast reservation for 10a. Seated at 10a. Waited at least 15 minutes for the first touch of the table by a server. Matt came and asked if we had been helped. I think they were short staffed (and I know pretty much everyone is right now.) Matt got our drink order and food order together and kept us with coffee and cocktails. The food took awhile, maybe 40 minutes, Avocado toast, All American and the brisket and egg burrito. Now the food was awesome and hot and fresh and just great. We were friend who had not seen each other in awhile and were hungover so we enjoyed the beautiful patio of Anchor and Brine and the music was soothing as well. Bottom line - it was a great breakfast. Matt was busy as can be but attentive and quick. He also found some orange marmalade for me! Times are tough for food and beverage outlets. They are doing a good job. Give Matt a nice raise!
Service was very slow. Food mediocre. Price on the high side. Beautiful ambiance.
The food was SO tasty. The cocktails were beautiful and delicious. You certainly cannot beat the view. I would love to return!
One of my favorite places to have business meetings, especially if you can get one of the little cabanas on the riverwalk
Food, staff and atmosphere was Amazing!! I would definitely visit again! Thank you so much!!!
Very average food for premium price, service is exceptionally slow and inattentive: our server among other things forgot to bring me a spoon for my soup, and after waiting 10 minutes I had to go get it myself from the bar, by which time my soup was cold. While bringing ice water by my request he didn’t bring it for my sister, who also needed it but didn’t ask (both of us used to wait tables while in school and this is a basic thing you always do when serving people). He brought our food but forgot our salads and we had to eat salads after we ate sandwiches... I could go on and on. I’ve had much better service in places with price tags half or a third of this place, so felt quite disappointed. The environment is nice and we enjoyed the view of the river and nice cabana; if not for that, I would rate it 1 star.
It was my parents anniversary, so we expected
This was a great spot for late lunch outdoors over looking the river. The service was exceptional. Mark was so attentive to every detail and was so accommodating with our kids orders! The food was delicious and The drinks were superb. We were really blown away by this Tampa gem.
Great food, better view. Drinks were good but took some time to get each time. Def recommend.
Food took an hour and a half to get to our table. Other tables were served well before we were. Food was luke-warm. Waitress was very nice and apologized.
Waited almost 2 hours for food. After a mix up the table next to us was comped but we were not. The menu items available are vastly different from what the menu online shows. I was looking forward to visiting this place but it was a complete bust.
Do yourself a favor, whilst in Tampa you must hit up this new hot spot. The food was fabulous as was the location on the water outdoors. I can't say enough about the small, meals and the doughnuts for dessert!! I can't wait to come back for a second visit!!
Anchor and Brine was, overall, very good. The night we ate outside was extremely windy and the crowd was very noisy. While the wind blew and patrons yelled, the staff was exceptionally efficient, professional and friendly to the customers. The food was very good and servings were plentiful. We would definitely return!
The location, food, drinks and service were excellent!!! The Cuban sandwich was one of the best I’ve had in years. The grouper sandwich was not very flavorful and was overcooked (Could have used more blackening spice). The French fries were cooked perfectly and were so delicious! Excellent bloody Mary’s and dirty martinis too. Our server, Yaritza, was outstanding, friendly and very attentive. Can’t wait to dine there again.
Sat outside for Sunday brunch. Not a huge selection but everything was good and plentiful.
The brisket egg burrito for brunch was amazing! So nice to sit outside on the water and relax.
The ambiance is very relaxed, and pretty. The food left a lot to be desired. Seems pretty much like “hotel food” and the mussels were very very small and the truffle fries were not tasty. The octopus I ordered was very colorful and tender though. And both my daiquiris were under poured and put into a wine glass. Do better. Disappointed with the inattentive service.
