A great find in Williamsburg! The owners were hands on and very friendly! The meatballs were to die for and the chicken schwarma was incredible! Su, our waitress, was knowledgeable and helped us with our wine and beer selections. If you get the chance, go to this small gem and enjoy an amazing meal!
Excellent meal on Christmas Eve. Staff friendly and efficient.
Great place to bring the whole family.
We had a difficult time getting reservations anywhere in Williamsburg. Anatolia had openings so we rolled the dice as we’d never heard of it.
A bit off the beaten path but beautiful place and very clean. Sue was our server and was amazing. Suggested wonderful wines and never left us hanging.
We are from the DC area where there is no shortage of Mediterranean restaurants. The food at Anatolia was the best we’d ever had. I had the lamb chops and the wife had the shrimp. AMAZING. Everything was super fresh but not overly seasoned. PERFECT.
We visit Williamsburg a few times a year and will dine at Anatolia on every visit.
The food is excellent. We came for an early Sunday dinner just as the restaurant opened so it was very quiet. My husband had zucchini pancakes and chicken shawarma and I had the red lentil soup and Saksuka with a shared Baklava for dessert. All dishes were well prepared and delicious.
The only issue we had was I ordered a glass of wine and when it arrived, there was a dead fly in it. I was told that it happens often because they like to keep the windows open. When I asked for a replacement, the server dumped the wine, rinsed the glass and seemingly refilled the same glass. I was so uncomfortable that I refused to drink it.
It was very nice. We were seated too close to other tables in the back by the restroom. They were chatty and after a very long day I wasn’t interested in sharing my evening meal with others. I wanted quiet and peace. It was not relaxing. Food was great and so was our server.
Comfortable cosy atmosphere. Friendly attentive staff. Food was superb. We tried a Turkish red wine, the cheese borek and the lamb chops.
You must try this great family owned restaurant.
Very enjoyable dinner at Anatolia last week. All the dishes were carefully thought out and very delicious. You could tell that this restaurant is owned by a family who really knows how to prepare and serve authentic Armenian food. They put their soul into it. While some of the dishes -- sharwama, kabobs, and Turkish Delight, for instance -- can be found on the menus of Greek, Middle Eastern, and Turkish restaurants-- the Armenian versions you'll find at Anatolia are much fresher, lighter, and not as salty as the others. And the spicing is more subtle as well and very delicious. This was our first visit to this restaurant and you can be sure we'll be back!
Excellent food and service!
Thanksgiving meal. We don’t stuff ourselves for thanksgiving- instead we selected a place with unique, quality food for our thanksgiving dinner. It was great.
Excellent food , outstanding service. Highly recommend
The food was amazing the service was fast and personable. Great for date night low lighting, quiet and inviting.
Just a delightful experience from start to finish. A friendly greeting at the door, excellent service, wonderful food and a great atmosphere! Can't wait to come back again!
We were in the area for a lacrosse tournament and made a reservation based on Open Table reviews.
We miss the local Armenian spot in our town and this is a reminder why- the fresh, flavorful dishes you think about for days after the meal! I’d drive the hour from my home for dinner here! A new favorite, for sure!
The food and service was great! The staff warm and inviting and the food was served within a reasonable time (it was on a Friday night, no less.) If you're looking for good food served by even greater people, this is the place to be!
Fabulous great service
Comfortable seating. Prompt service, attentive hostess/server. Noise level was perfect, background music was soft, enjoyable and permitted those at our table to carry on conversation.
Food choices were appropriate and tastefully presented. Very good flavors and style for this specialty restaurant. Perfect for small groups and intimate dining. Prices are very reasonable.
Always good for lunch or dinner. Hummus among best we have ever had. Staff is lovely. This is a local, family owned business. If you like this kind of food, it is excellent. No "generic" menu for American standards.
It was a very clean and tidy restaurant. The service was slow but friendly. The portions weren't worth the prices. Also menu was limited but, what they had was tasty.... To be very honest, the restaurant was obviously lacking in staff. And I thought that my food could have been seasoned a little more. I did like the fact that it's a family owned restaurant and you can see the pride they had in their business by the way that they maintain the restaurant. It was very clean and well kept. It was just too pricey for what we got.
Always 100% pleased at Anatolia! The service, food & atmosphere are perfect for a sweet evening in Turkey. This time we introduced friends to Anatolia & they too fell in love.
Very friendly service and good dining experience!
From our 1st step into this highly welcoming, delightfully decorated & immaculate restaurant, we felt more like "Old Family Friends" than patrons! We took our time enjoying each course [soup, appetizers, entree & dessert with Turkish coffee] and found every bite & sip superb.
Definitely 5☆+++! Will be back when we are in the Williamsburg area!
Our bench seat was literally falling apart. We were moved to another table. The bread plate was very dirty, the napkins were dirty. Really makes you wonder about the cleanliness of the kitchen! This restaurant needs an update and more attention to detail. The food was okay, but for the prices we expected more. We won’t go back. I never write bad reviews but this was very disappointing.
Had another most enjoyable experience at Anatolia.
A wonderful evening at Anatolia. Meal and service was wonderful outstanding. Looking forward to next visit.
Dinner was excellent as usual. Love the hummus with warm pita bread.
The china shop. The china is the delicious cuisine that emerges from this kitchen. I have tried almost all of the dips and the main courses and they are all excellent. So unique, so tasty.
Front of the house is managed awkwardly which almost chips the china. Restaurant business is managed in front of diners and loudly! We were made party to employees schedules being discussed and all phone calls coming in - all so loudly you almost have to stop your table conversation. We decided it was time to go when we heard a discussion on the phone ".....the kitchen closes at 7:30. You have 30 minutes to eat and get out..."
So, if you want to taste delicious mediterranean/middle eastern cuisine and don't mind a loud environment this is the place!
Excellent food and service as usual. We've been there many times. Bea and staff are superb.
Tried several new food items and was very pleased with all of our choices. We will gladly return.
The best Turkish food I have ever had hands down. Cooked to perfection. I literally licked the plate after I finished my meal. My family and I tried the lamb, the chicken and the shrimp and all were wonderful. The baklava for dessert was awesome too. Definitely recommend. You won’t be disappointed.
We had a very enjoyable experience at Anatoliz Bar and Grill.
What a great find. We moved to Williamsburg about 4 months ago and have been "shopping" our restaurant options in the area. Anatolia is clearly in our top 3-4 selections. We had shawarma and grilled shrimp. The plating is beautiful. The default sides are terrific. And don't forget desert - for the sweet tooth, you can't go wrong.
Excellent service and food was fresh hot and delicious!
Lamb shank is incredible. Wonderful meal and super service. We will definitely be back.
Anatolia is a gem! We had a great unique dumpling as an appetizer. Next was a tender well marinated grilled chicken kabob with great sides of grilled veggies, rice and salad. Also the lamb shawarma was special. Charming service!
First time but look forward to the next!!
Our hostess/ waitress was so personable and welcoming. The food was EXCELLENT! It was a wonderful find while on vacation!!! We even tried Turkish delight for the first time and they were wonderful.
Very good Mediterranean food great service really had a nice time. In the area try this place out.
Great execution on classic Mediterranean dishes. Everything fresh! Sue was extremely helpful and accommodating.
Excellent hummus and chicken swarms, I would recommend this place to anyone
