Añada on Gertrude Street in Fitzroy, serves a tapas menu mainly influenced by the food of Andalusia, Southern Spain and the flavours of the Mediterranean.

Originally founded in 2008 by Jesse and Vanessa Gerner, the team at Añada highly value sustainable efforts and community outreach, and champion local farmers, producers and providers as often as possible.

In the years since its opening, Añada has grown to be known as a neighbourhood staple, offering a menu that pairs authentic Spanish foods with an extensive wine and sherry list. The warm, intimate atmosphere is complemented by knowledgeable, friendly service.

One of our favourite traditions is our annual truffle lunch. Every truffle season and held in conjunction with Truffle Melbourne’s dining program, a new and exciting menu is written to highlight the rich combinations of truffles and Spanish cuisine. Join us for 2025’s celebration of one of winter’s most luxurious ingredients on Sunday 20th July from 12 for 12:30pm. Your menu: $120pp for 9 courses plus wine pairing available on the day. Very helpful and engaged staff who really made our experience. Loved the food, the Octopus was to die for, we ordered seconds. If you love a new wine experience without paying through the nose this was fabulous and the staff help you choose. Nice music added to a nice ambiance and we weren’t too crushed in.

We had an amazing dinner experience! The Atún and Pulpo dishes were exceptional. We tried all the tapas, and they exceeded our expectations. Don't be fooled by their small size , each bite was packed with flavor. My favorites were the galleta with goat cheese and the croqueta, which had a delightful spicy kick , a nice surprise for someone who's had croquetas all my life! The chocolate mousse for dessert was superb. Highly recommended! We also really loved the music!

I’ve been to Anada twice recently and both times the service, food & ambience were excellent, exceeded expectations. Our waiter’s knowledge was thorough on the food & drinks, including its origins/history and Spanish language pronunciation. Wonderful, can’t wait to return. Phil
