The name “Amylos” denotes our passion for food and bringing to you Greece’s authentic flavors. We carefully chose the most original recipes ranging from various regions in Greece; starting from the southern Aegean islands to the northern mainland, each region has its own unique take on cooking. Amylos, meaning the “building blocks of food”, is synonymous to our concept of building a sustainable menu created from pure raw materials, attention to detail, nonnegotiable standards, and ingredients of the finest quality. Panos was our excellent server! He kindly helped me when I asked how to pronounce their longest word on their menu. The “Astakomakaronada” (lobster pasta). Phenomenal! One of the best lobster pastas we’ve had! We also got the crab cake and it’s so tasty the value is honestly underestimated. And also got the Stifado (short ribs) beautifully tender and savoury. The ambience is so nice we sat exactly where we wanted the seats along the edge of being outdoors but still indoors. Panos even gave us a lovely aperitif to compliment our meal since we didn’t have room for dessert! Love their playlist it’s always so vibey! It’s our favourite neighbour night out spot!

Was a great get together with friends, service was amazing and the food delicious. And Alexander out server and Martha I think she was a manager really make our experience great.

Excellent food, great service, tasty appetizers and main courses plus desserts. A bit too loud but it was Greek Independence Day but the hostess was accommodating in relocating us to a quieter area

Pantanos(*) was an excellent server, very attentive making sure we had everything we needed. I’ve done here twice now and it’s a very cute and cozy restaurant. The food was delicious and so were the drinks.

We came here to celebrate a birthday and the whole experience was wonderful. The food was delicious and the service had the right balance of attentiveness without the hovering. Speciality cocktails were fantastic and the table side birthday singing/ celebration was sweet and kind!

Last evening was our third time at Amylos and first with friends. Service was impeccable, food amazing with the one appt better than the next, followed by delicious whole fish and scallops. Dont pass on the desserts - baklava and ekmek were outstanding. Music was as bit loud but it was 8pm on a Saturday so the vibe fantastic.

We've been here another time and enjoyed it. Atmosphere is attractive and a young vibe. We are older (70) so the nose level was a little loud for us. However they were accommodating in putting us in the quieter part of the restaurant. Our waiter Vasilios was very attentive and we were able to have a drink I like made for us though it wasn't on the menu. The hamburger we ordered was undercooked but they did take it back and cooked it adequately.

Have lived in Astoria all my life and we just moved a couple blocks up closer to Broadway and 36th Street. A friend of mine recommended the place as we’ve tried almost every Greek Taverna in ditmars. Amazing food and a perfect date night spot, definitely going to be coming back with friends and family
