Mother’s Day. Great food. Terrible Bloody Mary’s.
First time trying the restaurant. Would definitely go again!
Great vibe and decor, but the food was sloppy and very expensive for what you get. Seems like they didn’t put any thought into the entree. Drinks were good, took 20 minutes to get a martini though.
Mother’s Day weekend lunch. Once we found it, the entrance is under construction, so in the rear is a make shift ramp, that’s rather steep. Beyond that, the view (outdoor seating) was fantastic, food was outstanding, and the service was great. We will definitely return, Lord willing.
We had the most wonderful experience at Ampersea!
This was new and different for me, but was awesome to be out.
The lobster roll was absolutely amazing!
My food, service and atmosphere was awesome! I will be back!
Best cream of crab soup ever! Great location and quality customer service.
The service was really bad. It took 45 minutes to get someone to take our order. And when my date when to the bathroom, he saw all the waiters and hostess chatting or on their phone standing by the bar. When we finally got someone to take our order , the waitress kept on forgetting small things like spoon for my tea. The restaurant is beautiful and the food taste great but the service was the worst I ever had. I wish people would understand that customer wis everything.
Después de 1:30 min nos dejaron saber que nuestra orden no iba a llegar a la mesa porque no habían los ingredientes. Una falta de respeto, pudieron haber avisado 30 min después de haber hecho la orden!
I had an horrible experience. I called frantic about my reservation since their was traffic and i’d be late. Manager said he couldn’t locate my reservation and that it was “my problem”. When my family arrived, there was no one in the restaurant so entire time he could’ve made me another reservation. I came for the lamb chops but they took them off the menu but never adjusted online menu. They had dirty bowls on table for candles, but no candles. I was charged $2 per person for cake cutting fee, the plating of food was horrible, and the swordfish tasted bland and unseasoned. The appetizers were good and fresh, the wine was also good too, but I did not enjoy any other alcoholic beverages or the experience. The bathroom wasn’t serviced and I had to ask a lady in next stall for toilet paper.
Service was extremely lacking, wasn’t even greeted properly. Server took 15 minutes to even greet us in the first place. If you need help ASK!
Ampersea was wonderful, highly recommend! I got the half and half crab soup, which was delightful and chocked full of veggies and was noticeably homemade. I for dinner I got the lobster roll, which had great flavor and a very generous portion of lobster, especially for the reasonable price. My fiancé got the cut of the day, which was a filet mignon with a twice baked potato. Both were SO GOOD. Perfectly cooked with a ton of flavor from fresh herbs. The only thing I would change is I wish I got a twice baked potato to have to myself :) the service was kind and attentive, 10/10 experience!
What an amazing outdoor spot - great food!
Ambiance was amazing, food was good as well but it took over an hour to receive our appetizers. Though our waitress kept in contact and was very apologetic for being under staffed, our table and a few others were quite hungry. Will try again on a better day.
Went for the first time and i am obsessed with the location. I went on a Tuesday and i don't think they were prepared for so many people because we didn't have a server at first. Then Lamont came and he was great. The food did take forever but he was super kind and apologetic. I will say the lobster roll was so dry though, it needs sauce or something but otherwise the food and drinks were great!
Took us over 30 min to get our apps, then another 15 for drinks that we ordered at the same time. Good appetizers, but left so we weren’t there late waiting for our entrees. Wonderful views of the harbor.
It was wonderful. Gabriella was amazing! She took care of our every need!
I was never seated. Although I called in advance to say I was walking from 2 blocks away. The hostess said it was okay that I could still be seated for my reservation. When I arrive, I was told that the kitchen has closed. The manager was not accommodating or helpful in the least. Considering how hard it is to get a brunch reservation these days in fells, I was hangry and disappointed in their service. Like why have a 2:30pm reservation slot if your kitchen closes at 2:40pm (even though the site said 3pm)!
Such a great experience! The food was amazing. Staff was great and I really enjoyed myself.
The food was delicious. I highly recommend it! I ordered the chicken and waffles, it was amazing.
Good food, nice vibe
We randomly choose this restaurant for an anniversary dinner. It was a great choice! The food was great. We had the seafood dip (so good), and the oysters to start. Then, we had the scallops, catch of the day, and the twice baked potato was very tasty. Everything was cooked perfectly, came hot and fresh. We plan on going back more often now that we found this gem.
The food, the water view, the ambience and all four of us loved our meal.
Scallops and crabcakes were delicious! Highly recommend!
Ampersea has so much outdoor space. It felt very nice to dine out again and I was worry free about social distancing here.
The food was delicious. The service was great. Can’t wait to go back.
I recently dined at Ampersea with my nephew. What an amazing experience! We sat outside - it was a gorgeous evening - but there were also plenty of heat lamps surrounding the tables. My nephew and I shared the brussel sprouts - delicious! I ordered the salmon with a side of truffle fries (The diet starts tomorrow) and my nephew had the crab cake with a baked potato. We also had a bottle of prosecco and for dessert fried cookie dough with vanilla ice cream (Maybe the diet should start today). The menu is fantastic and if I lived in Baltimore, I'd dine at Ampersea once a week. Our waitress Ashley was fantastic - super attentive and kind enough to do a "photo shoot" at the end of our meal too. I highly recommend Ampersea - the ambiance, food and service were all five stars! I also recommend making a reservation in advance. One more quick thing: they also had a guitar player (we were there on a Friday night) who was really great as well.
Food was delicious. Service was awesome. I enjoyed myself as usual
The food and location (view) were both very good. Unfortunately the service was extremely slow given the small crowd. Our server also needed to be prompted to tend to our table. She also had to be asked to tell the chef cut and catch of the day. The drinks were very fresh. Overall, we would come back.
Bloody Mary was good food was average
Crab dip was good French toast was small chicken and biscuit was ok
Scenery was really good
Service was not good
The guy with filling our water was great
Absolutely beautiful setting, delicious food, and wonderful service. I have tried quite a few of the menu items and none disappointed.
Very good food. It is not a cheap place to eat, but it is not overly priced. It was a great experience and the view cannot be beat. Covid protocols are followed.
We had a party of 12 but the restaurant couldn't support us as a large group. So, what we did is book 3 tables of 4 and the restaurant sat our tables 6 feet apart. It was a great work around. Also, we loved the crab dip with pretzel, salmon, beef short ribs, drinks and atmosphere. It was everyone's first time there and we'll all be back for another visit real soon. Also, the parking lot was right next door.
Lots of seating right on the water, great food and service! We will be back.
As parents, my husband and I don’t get a night out often. So I was really looking forward to the evening. Our server was great. However, there was an issue with the salad I ordered as an appetizer with the food runner. The issue was blown out of proportion by the restaurants owner and his poor customer service and the way in which he handled the incident really put a damper on my mood and the evening. This was my second time dining at ampersea in a month. I had brought my mom a few weeks before for her birthday and we really enjoyed ourselves for lunch. However, based on the way in which the owner handled the incident last night upon our return, I highly doubt I’ll be returning. The only thing that saved the evening was our server, who was really lovely. And overall we enjoyed our food. But customer service is big for me and I did not feel like the owner handled the situation as good as it could have been handled.
I had a great time
Server Evette was a pleasure and extremely nice and attentive.
Drinks are a little over priced but
Food was great had Raw Oysters and the Pan Seared Salmon.
I would definitely recommend anyone to go dine at this amazing restaurant.
Parking was great as well
Our server was fine. The appetizers and main courses were good. The cocktails did not taste as though there was alcohol in them. Dessert took a long time and the deep fried cookies tasted and felt like rubber and the bread pudding was hard as rock. I had a direct view of the bar and kitchen entrance. I witnessed a male server wearing an Under Armor cap stand at the bar and pull his mask down. He proceeded to scratch and then place his fingers inside his nose. Then he pulled his mask back up, grabbed drinks and delivered them to customers. Additionally, upon leaving, we used the restroom, which was disgusting, in disarray, and devoid of toilet paper. We notified the hostess but received no response. Extremely dissatisfied and would not go back.
