Ampersea Restaurant
Awesome food and friendly staff , I would absolutely come back!
Great food and really nice atmosphere. Best steak I’ve ever had.
Great service, live music was a such a nice touch, water views. Food was great! Can’t wait to go back
The food was okay it wasn’t the best thing in the world i had better the customer was about a 5 they took our orders weirdly & separately & they took forever to remove our dishes off the table & menus they were stiff I wouldn’t go again
We waited over 30 mins and had to ask for assistance! The waiter who ended up helping us was excellent but seems like no one was gonna help til we asked
Birthday dinner was excellent!
Great food with amazing views. The lobster roll was delicious.
Wonderful scenario in front of the water.
Wait staff was a little slow but overall excellent food and service
Easter Sunday
Ashleigh was our server and she was amazing! Super friendly and personable! She made our first time here an enjoyable one! We will be returning!
We had a great girls date! The view was beautiful ☺️
Had a good time going this past week on my first date. The atmosphere was amazing. It wasn't to loud or crowded. The food and service was good. Me and my new girlfriend definitely will be returning soon.
Loved the outdoor space that was newly created! Well done!
This was a very nice place. The food was very good but the drinks were not very generous with alcohol and it was definitely more juice. The bartender was a little more generous the second go round. All in all it was very good and my friends and I will be back
Best views, service, and value. The fire pit view is amazing.
Food was very good. The waitress was super helpful with giving me information about vegan options
Great service, swordfish that melted in my mouth like butter, and the best lobster Mac I've ever had.
Great food, service and the outside view amazing, inside very pretty. Drinks are great too
Beautiful venue, excellent food and service! We look forward to coming back!
Love the location and the water view the food was excellent! We’ll be back!
I had an excellent time. Great restaurant, ambience, and was not noisy at all! Loved it. Will be back again!
Food is amazing the views of the inner harbor are also perfect, top it off with lots of heaters to keep you warm and delicious cocktails. Perfect date night spot!
Great food. Our party had oysters, crab cake, swordfish, cheesecake and fried ice cream, all were delicious except the last one fried (ice cream was good but not outstanding). Service was a little disorganized, staff lacked attention to detail: longer wait than normal for drinks and entrees (Saturday evening at 8pm), starters plates were not removed before they brought the entrees, oysters were served with three different sauces but no spoons in each sauce. However staff was friendly and helpful and a supervisor/manager stopped by in the middle of our evening to check in. There was live music that night, our party of four felt that noise level was too loud, may be good for a bar ambience but not so good for an upscale restaurant, and the singer was not very good. Outdoor seating was very nice with views over water. Overall a nice evening and culinary experience but avoir Saturday evenings if you want a quieter experience.
Overall really good experience! I went for my birthday and had a reservation at 6:15 and they didn’t seat us till closer to 7 but other than that the food was very good (drinks pretty pricey) but would definitely go again, the view from inside and outside were both great
Beautiful atmosphere. Enjoyed a delicious meal overlooking the water. The service was excellent.
Wonderful food. Beautiful view. Sat outside. They brought heaters as it got colder. Delightful experience!
Great value and very attractive and delicious food.
Our server was fine. But it took WAY too long for our main course to arrive. We had split a salad and ordered two egg dishes. It was Saturday brunch. The restaurant did comp on the dishes which was the right thing to do. But we would have been far happier to pay full price and not have to wait so long to eat.
Ample outdoor seating by the water. Tables were spaced well apart. Dishes came quickly and lobster roll was delicious.
If you're looking to spend some money, enjoy a couple of drinks, starter and entrees and be in and out in under an hour this is the place for you. Everything was good. But our starter arrived within 10 minutes of ordering and as soon as we took our last bites of that, hello entrees. The rapid pace was off-putting and not fun.
Wasn’t a fan of the drinks and the food took a long time. Otherwise, great food and view.
Food & vibe was great as always, my only complaint is our server Marissa. She hardly checked on us to see if we needed anything, I had to keep getting the attention of other servers when we needed more drinks, napkins, etc.
Manager and hostess were rude and incompetent. Seated the party that checked in after us at the table we requested. Rather than acknowledging their mistake, the Manager said “there are plenty of other restaurants in the area you could go to”. Clearly didn’t want our business. I was appalled by his lack of customer relationship aptitude and his rude demeanor was not appreciated.
We ultimately (ourselves) found a table in the area we wanted that was open, though the hostess had told us there was none. When she went to seat us there were people sitting at our table who hadn’t checked in. She asked them to leave then proceeded to place menus down. I asked her if she was going to wipe down the table after 4 people had been sprawled out on it. She clearly had no intention of doing so but after I called her out she went and got the cleaner and wiped the table. The fact that I had to ask during COVID is appalling.
Our waiter however was spectacular. Service thereafter was wonderful, as was the meal. It’s unfortunate the hostess and manager set such a poor tone for the experience but I’m grateful for our waiter quickly turning things around for us.
It took forever to get food. When they brought out food, they only brought out the entrees. They didn’t bring out the sides until 15 minutes later. The food wasn’t all that great.
We had an excellent dinner at Ampersea . We sat outside in one of the green houses. The view of the water is beautiful. There was live music too!
We had the scallops and truffle Parmesan fries and smoked lamb shank. All very delicious. Ampersea is our favorite restaurant in Fellspoint/Baltimore . We dine at least once a month at Ampersea and the food is always consistently great and you can’t beat the waterfront view.
I'm so glad we got to go and experience the greenhouse. It was a great date night with great food and great drinks. The staff was also very accommodating. The view is amazing in the green house as well.
Good food, nice ambiance great views. Definitely going back when the weather warms up.
Great service and really good food! Definitely order the truffle fries!
My friends and I were looking for a restaurant that 1) was open for brunch on a Saturday, 2) offered outdoor seating with heaters, and 3) accepted reservations. Ampersea met all of these criteria and was the perfect setting for our first meal at a restaurant since last March. Tasty food with a gorgeous view and attentive service. Ampersea gave us everything we've missed over the past year.
