    Myself and my girlfriend dined on thanksgiving day for dinner. The ambience was beautiful the food was great I had one minor mishap but it got corrected professionally and quickly. The staff is very nice and our waiter was very friendly and professional. I would recommend this place to any of my friends and family.

    There was no heat. The service was amazing because we were the other ones in the restaurant but I wouldn’t go back until the summer time, hopefully they have air conditioning.

    Once again we enjoyed our evening at Ampersea. Our server (Ali) had a great personality and a good sense of humor! Our food was delicious. We were able to enjoy our meal outside thanks to the heat lamps. The view was picture-perfect!

    Ampersea is a wonderful date night restaurant. The food is outstanding! We had seafood pasta and Chilean sea bass. Just delicious. Our host Lamont took great care of us and made a special night even more memorable with the perfect wine selection.

    The service from Ash was superb. Based on her recommendations we had the cheesy crab pretzel, the ceviche, the duck and the bread pudding amongst many other options. Each one was better than the next. I needed to do laps around the harbor because we ate so much. Go hungry!!!

    My first time at this restaurant. The good: Location was great, right on the water with a view. Menu offered something for everyone. Food was delicious and portions were good. The bad: Parking was easy but, for 3 hours, cost $18. Very poor service from server. She was never around to even flag down - time intervals were long between drink, ordering, and food coming out but don't think it was the kitchen at fault. I was there for my birthday and, aside from a greeting, that was it. Even a candle on our dessert order would have been nice. I say all this because they charge an 18% gratuity automatically regardless of # in your party, which was 2. We wanted most of the tip to go to the busboys who were constantly on the floor but spoke little English. They were working! I worked as a server and believe tips are earned when service enhances the experience. Our server even asked if we wanted to leave more tip...clueless! If you want to automatically charge gratuity, train your servers so diners feel it's worth it and your servers earn it.

    We went on a Tuesday night and it was very slow so we were lucky to have a choice of places to sit. I could see the inside being quite loud on a busy night since it’s small and very open. We wound up deciding to sit outside because there were heaters which was a nice touch. Food and drinks were quite expensive. However, the service was amazing with Rachel. I really wish they had a cider on the menu for fall. Note that the beer selection is all bottled and very, very limited. For food, I got the mushroom risotto which wasn’t as creamy as it should be and had a texture almost as if it were congealed. The taste was fine but I wouldn’t order it again because the texture was all wrong. My husband had swordfish and raved about it. Our two friends had crab cakes and the MD native said it wasn’t bad but also wasn’t as great as others she’s had, while our out of town guest thought it was good (he’d never had one before). Overall, you’re paying for the ambience and the view. Service amazing, food has mixed reviews.

    Came here for the first time as one of my weekly Friday Dinner Dates with my bestie. We chose to sit outside to look at the water. It was kind of chilly, but they have outdoor heaters so that was clutch. We both started with the mussels. They were good. She opted for the crab cake dinner. I was kind of full from the mussels soni had the cream of crab soup and a side of kale. Weird I know. But I love my vegetables. The cream of crab was good, not as meaty as I would have liked, but good. The kale was good as well. Our server, whose name I don’t remember, was attentive and responsive. We had a pretty good evening of food and co versatile. And unlike some establishments, didn’t feel rushed to leave. They have plenty of menu options that I’d like to try, so I will definitely return. Especially for brunch that I hear is phenomenal.

    I come here every time I visit Baltimore and it's always fantastic. Great views over the water, really good food, and not nearly as difficult to get a table as other restaurants. If you're staying in the inner harbor, it's worth the 10 minute car ride to eat here!

    Absolutely beautiful evening! Best crab and lobster BLT I’ve ever had! My friends swordfish sandwich was incredible too! Our service was impeccable and the manager Joey is fantastic! He made sure everything was perfect and even took time to take pics of us with the phenomenal water view in the background.

    My guest and I truly enjoyed our dining experience at Ampersea. Janaye our sever was a absolute sweetheart. She was very warm and welcoming. She gave great menu recommendations and was very attentive without being overbearing! Joey (manager) table touch was very special. Joey made my guest and I feel like we were VIP! He was very nice, extremely friendly and made our night extra special. The food was great! I had the special swordfish and my guest had the stuffed chicken. Our night ended with another special manager touch from Lamont. Lamont gave us great convo and a good laugh! Great way to end the night! We will back! Thank you!

    Our waiter, Warren was so attentive and welcoming. We couldn’t ask for anyone better! Food was delicious. Definitely recommend the burrata toast! Can’t wait to go back.

    Great setting along the water of Baltimore Harbor! There was live music by a singing guitarist. Our server, Warren, was excellent. We enjoyed the special of the day-sea bass! Bread pudding, with ice cream, topped of the amazing dinner experience.

    Awesome table on the water, ready on time. Delicious drinks, and amazing appetizers. So cool to watch all the boats with the sunset reflecting off the buildings and the water. Main course was amazing also, and our waiter was highly attentive.

    Started with Crab dip and Bavarian pretzel. Very delicious. Great outdoor seating on a beautiful summer night. Excellent crab cake!!! The best!! Also enjoyed the swordfish steak sandwich. Great service/staff at this restaurant. Would definitely dine here again.

    Ampersea was perfect for our date night and the food and ambiance were great. I highly recommend the shrimp deviled eggs and the cream of crab soup. Both were amazing! We also tried the hot honey wings but they weren’t as flavorful as we would have liked. Our drinks were great and we enjoyed the crab cake entree and the beef short rib. We live pretty far but we will definitely return.
