From the oyster fritters, which I'm saying were the best this seafood lover has ever had in 67 years! to the WOW of a pork chop, and on to a high crisp-crust-to-custard ratio creme brulee, the dinner was impeccable. Simple yet elegant where the ingredients spoke for themselves. The sides were also deelish - including a kale salad with walnuts that made your mouth feel good, and a to-die-for twice baked potato. My companions had the fried chicken and the salmon special, and they too LOVED everything.
Thank you. We'll be back as there's lots more on the menu that looks equally as tasty as what we picked.
The food was quite good and the service was a little rocky. Still, we were shocked that such a good restaurant with such a great view of the harbor was mainly empty on a Saturday night.
My food was excellent and service was impeccable.
We went for brunch and it was really good. Beautiful view of the harbor, one of the best in the city! Service was attentive and the food was really good. They had plenty of vegetarian options for my and carnivore for me. I was a very happy camper!
We were the only guests in the restaurant at that time so it was very quiet. Almost too quiet. We all ordered crab soup as starters and it was quite disappointing. Small little pieces of back-fin meat and heavy crab stock made the soup. So crab taste with no crab. Not good for a Baltimore restaurant. Our entrees were better with jumbo lump meat. Gotta work on that crab soup!
A fabulous dinner, topped with a magnificent dessert, and Ritual coffee. I could not have been better. Keep up the good work. the 4 of us will be back soon!
Once again another great dinning adventure. The rack of venison was fantastic. My wife loved the crab cake great flavor and large lump back fin. The muscles with old bay and natybho are a Bmore original, try the you will love them
Great restaurant great food and great ambiance. Would recommend
Food wasn't that spectacular for the price. The lobster in the lobster Mac n' cheese was cold and filet mignon was bland and overcooked. Brussel sprouts and crab cakes are good though.
Excellent anniversary brunch!
Dined at Ampersea for their 2 Year Anniversary $2 bottles of house wine selections event. Front of house was very kind and welcoming helping us to our table. Our waitress, Sam, was also very nice. Unfortunately, the food was so simple and bland. I’ve never asked for salt at a restaurant before and I immediately requested it. My husband commented I could’ve made it at home. The place was also missing some ambiance and just overall energy.
Average bar/restaurant, however excellent food.
Everything was amazing!! The ambiance was perfect, server and food were on point and great drink deal, bottomless mimosas and sangria. We got The fried green tomato eggs Benedict, shrimp and grits and 1/2 & 1/2 soup with bloody Mary’s too!!
I truly enjoyed Ampersea. The location is great. Convenient parking next door and the food, drinks and service were amazing. I will definitely be returning soon.
I assume this place is MUCH busier in the summertime since it’s on the water but in the winter, there was only one other table in the entire place besides us. With that being said, the server was able to give his undivided attention to us. The food was exquisite and I would definitely recommend this place for a special occasion like an anniversary. Pretty atmosphere.
Food was delicious and we had everyone’s complete attention - perhaps because we were the only ones in the restaurant. Strange that it was empty at 7:00 on a Saturday night.
When I made and confirmed the reservation I was not told that there would be a pre fixe menu that evening. Unfortunately the items that my friend and I planned on ordering were not on said menu and the meal I had was something I would have never ordered.
Communication is key.
Still had a great time and the staff was amazing. Will definitely return!
Amazing! Enjoyed the food!
An amazing thanksgiving dinner and great service !
The wait staff was good but seems like management seriously understaffed the restaurant. Only so much two waiters could do in the entire restaurant. Food & atmosphere were both great.
Love this place!
Nice location and interior. Went on a Sunday night and we were literally the only people in the place and yet we received poor service. I guess our waitress had kind of checked out since it was so slow. The food was a mixed bag - mussels were good, seafood entrees kind of drab, dessert was good.
My wife and i have dined at Amersea serveral times this year and have completely enjoyed each meal. The staff has always been very professional with great service, Thank you
Brunch was great. There was a nice waterfront view next to the restaurant. Bottomless mimosas and sangrias were great as well. Definitely recommend Ampersea.
Ate on the deck overlooking the bay and had the most wonderful meal.
The setting is great, with an excellent view of the bay. The highlight for me was the crabcake entree, one of the best crabcakes I've had anywhere. The service was friendly and didn't rush us.
We had an amazing dinner at Ampersea, incredible view - the scallops and swordfish were amazing!
Our favorite spot in Fell’s Point! Sitting on the water eating lobster rolls and crab cakes doesn’t get any better than Ampersea.
Wonderful experience. Beautiful scenery. Excellent food and customer service. Will be going back.
The view is amazing from the patio and food is consistently good.
Very good restaurant on the harbor. Views great; food and service always very good.
Brunch with family
Food was great
Food was cold even when it was returned for the second time. Service wasn’t great and the whole process was a bit disjointed. The setting is gorgeous but doesn’t cancel out all the other issues.
Get the seafood boil - it is delicious! And end with the bread pudding. You will end up writing a similar review to mine 😉
Food was great. Outside deck was beautiful.
Took a European guest for a dinner on the Baltimore waterfront. Nice setting and great weather. Service was good not great. Had to explain that four people needed four silverware sets——
The menu had good choices... crab cake and lobster roll quite good as was catfish sandwich. The Marconi salad was nostalgic for this diner who remembers marconis.
The restaurant was sort of empty when we sat down but as the sun faded the outdoor dining area did fill up.
In general good food in nice outdoor setting.
We were celebrating my birthday and this was our first visit to Ampersea. Since we were the only patrons for lunch inside (there were 2 people eating outdoors), the atmosphere was somewhat chilly and the music just a little annoying. However, our waitperson, Dahlia, was very pleasant and she took good care of us. The fried green tomatoes were delicious and I highly recommend them. I had the steak salad which was just ok because the tomatoes were mushy. My husband was quite happy with his soup (Maryland crab) and sandwich (buffalo chicken) combo.
I will go back again for dinner. Perhaps more diners and the water view at night will create a better ambiance.
Ambiance and food were good, but the service was sub-par.
