We had a wonderful experience at Amorette ! The décor is glamorous and reminds you of NYC
or Philadelphia. The bar was busy when we arrived, yet we were greeted warmly and did not wait long for our drinks.
After being seated in the beautiful dining room, we chose the 4 course prix fix menu - there are lots of great choices in each of the four categories and it was difficult to choose ! The food was plated beautifully and was some the best we've enjoyed in a long time. Truly a gifted Chef and culinary team.
While the portions tended to be on the small size, all four of us were very full at the end of the meal. The service is French Style and was executed almost flawlessly. It's nice to have all the plates set down and removed at the same time, so much less intrusive.
For the desert course, you may choose from sweets or a cheese trolley - two of us had sweets (the best sorbet I've ever had), while two chose the cheese option.
We chose to add wine pairings with each of the courses - I can't complement Terrance enough - he is so knowledgeable about the wines and each went beautifully with the food. He also presented each wine with a story about the winery/family and this added to our enjoyment.
Amorette will be offering Wine Dinners in November and December - we are excited to have this opportunity in Lancaster and are looking forward to more magical evenings at this wonderful new restaurant.
Food was excellent. Nice ambiance. Good service. Great wine selection and very knowledgeable Sommelier.
Pleasantly surprised to find this kind of restaurant in Lancaster.
We had a wonderful dinner at Amorette....delicious and creative food, impeccable service, too! Thank you for bringing an amazing dining experience to Lancaster County! We will be back!
Great food and service. Huge wine selection and good spirits.
Exceptional food and the service was amazing. Definitely a perfect spot for special occasions.
A nice spot in downtown Lancaster. The sommelier was exceptionally entertaining and knowledgeable. The food was perfectly presented. We both had the 4 course prix fixe dinner and didn't go wrong with a single dish. Each dish/plate's presentation was photo-worthy, and we'd love to go back again.
fabulous addition to th Lancaster dining scene. truly a special restaurant from start to finish. Tasting menu only option is perfect to insure the full experience. The decor is VERY special. And the wine list is magnificent.
One of the best meals I’ve ever had. Staff was very gracious and kind.
My friends and I enjoyed lunch at Amorette. The hot towels with which to wash our hands which were presented to us upon arrival were appreciated. The small purse tables were also a nice touch.
We all enjoyed the crab dish. The crabcakes were made of jumbo lump crab meat. The baby bok choy side dish was a real treat.
Britney was an excellent server. She heard from our conversation that we were celebrating a birthday. She surprised us with Cherry Crunch cakes with a lit candle!
Mike very kindly gave us a tour of the restaurant. It is both a feast for the eyes and the palette.
As far as the food goes it was good but focus on seasoning was lacking. Several dishes screamed for a few flakes of salt. The cook on the antelope was also not consistent, my wifes came out medium rare while mine was a little over meduim. My biggest complaint though was with the Sommelier. He never offered us the wine pairing and after our first glass he never returned until our 5th course when I had to ask a server for another glass. The Sommeliers excuse was they were busy but I clearly watched him talk about his life story to another table for 15 minutes. At $20 a glass I would think they would want to be on that constantly. For the price you want a meal that was memorable, something special. Unfortunately I've have more memorable meals at other restaurants in the Lancaster area.
Apart from our assigned waitress that seemed to be spread out in the restaurant, the entire staff stepped in a provided excellent service. The food was very good and I would strongly recommend the four-course dinner. The variety of options in each of the four courses was excellent and there were many choices from oysters to crab to deep water turbot and antelope. I had the antelope and it was very good. The wine list is extensive. We're already planning to return soon.
The service and food were excellent but the 4 course meal lefts looking for more food and that was disappointing because I don't have a big appetite.
A fantastic experience overall. From the food to the wait staff everything lived up to what a restaurant of this caliber should be. I can not say enough good things about Amorette. Special thanks to the sommelier Thierry.
Thierry is amazing in his explanation of wine pairings. The food is outstanding! The decor and atmosphere is superb.
Everything was beautiful! Food was delicious! My lobster tail tasted like it was slow cooked barbecue and melted in my mouth.... it was very unique and so good!
This restaurant was excellent! The food was awesome! The wait staff & sommelier were very attentive without being overwhelming. Decor is beautiful. We met the owner, Donna and chef, Dan...both eager to share their stories on how the establishment was developed. They gave us a personal tour of the restaurant. Both were so willing to share this gem with their patrons. They should be proud...it's beautiful. Everything from the food, staff, silverware, stemware, furniture, etc was well thought out. I've already shared our experience with friends. If you're in the area you must make a point to eat here. I'll definitely return!
It was a wonderful dinner experience! The food, service and ambiance were amazing and one of a kind!
Dinner was delightful! Service was impeccable. From the sommelier to the chef to the manager to the waitstaff – all was exceptional! A true 5 Star experience. My unique diet requests were managed with immense creativity and were deliciously created. The atmosphere is beautiful. We can’t wait to return.
Went with long time friends to celebrate our friendship. It was amazing! We enjoyed each other and the beautiful surroundings for over 2 hours with perfect food and delectable wines.
Fabulous...don't miss a chance to dine here. Unlike any other restaurant in the area. High end and worth every penny!
My husband and I had a wonderful experience celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary! The food was the best that we've had in Lancaster and highly recommend.
Went to Amorette for our 25th wedding anniversary and could not have made a better choice. Incredibly friendly staff. The food was amazing. They made sure to regularly acknowledge our special day and even gave us a special dessert at the end. It exceeded our expectations, and I highly recommend.
Outstanding is the word that comes to mind after having dined at Amorette. Every detail was covered -- service, food, setting, attention to detail....... We also enjoyed conversing with and learning from the expert somellier. The food, wine, and service were excellent. We'll be back.
We had a 'double date' at Amorette- and WOW! Although we were a little intimidated by the menu beforehand, the food was incredible, and the evening overall was unforgettable. This will definitely go down as one of my Top 5 meals of a lifetime.
Attention to detail outstanding. Food phenomenal! Service and ambience superb! Friendly and helpful staff. Professional from start to finish. Sommelier knowledgeable and helpful.
Our evening couldn't have been better! It was our first dining experience and it exceeded our expectations. Truly sensational. Food, atmosphere, wine, everything!!
Wow - what a terrific meal on Friday evening! We had the prix fixe menu pre-theatre ....and thoroughly enjoyed the attentive service, impecably presented food and menu options to meet every wish or need. The combinations of color, texture and food was a delightful surprise with each course served! Incredibly memorable food! Don't miss this dining experience......a metropolitan experience without big city parking hassle & price tag.
Excellent for “foodies”, top notch wine list and knowledgeable sommelier. Take your time and enjoy the experience.
Outstanding food and presentation. Worth the price.
Wonderful location, knowledgeable staff, great service, amazing food. We were here visiting from Toronto, a had very romantic dinner here.
This review is coming from a place of hoping that the restaurant continues to evolve and flourish, we visited within 4 months of opening. Having traveled the world, eating at Michelin star restaurants and Michelin recommended restaurants - this restaurant needs to find its footing both with service and execution of the food.
The atmosphere is amazing, the Sommelier, Angelo was top notch. The staff seemed apprehensive, disorganized and intimidated.
The food lacked inventiveness, seasoning and played it too safe. The portions of the 4 course menu were that of a tasting menu. A restaurant of the caliber should leave diners delighted, having their needs anticipated - but I had to ask for silverware and hand towels in the bathroom.
Everything was absolutely outstanding! Service was impeccable...
4 course was the best food and the wine was exceptional. Would highly recommend to a friend... of course the wine selection makes it very expensive. Nice for a special occasion
Ordered an off menu special which came with an undisclosed $65 up charge!
We went to Amorette for our anniversary and were blown away. The service and food were both amazing. We would absolutely recommend Amorette for a fine dining experience.
I haven't had a dining experience like this in central Pa...ever. Creative cuisine, excellent presentation, and all around great experience.
Loved the ambiance and food. Service was excellent except for lengthy delay in receiving cocktail. Super Gin and Tonic. Wine selection and service were superb!
I was extremely disappointed. First of all, it is very hard to find, 2nd parking is quite confusing, 3rd it is extremely expensive. The tuna tartare was excellent as was the panko fried oysters. The lobster bisque was good but plentiful. The beet salad sparse but well done. The salmon entree was noting special. It had no WOW factor. Wine by the glass is very expensive. Whereas the wine list is large, it is expensive- albeit good labels. The decor is gorgeous. Nice touch to have wooden stands to put purses on.
Everything was perfect from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. The food was impeccable as well as the service. I can’t wait to return. I upgraded my 3rd course to the Waygu beef and it literally melted in my mouth.
This place is playing upscale to beat the band. But it's actually EXHAUSTING to sit through a meal where everything you're eating is repeatedly explained to you and the servers always have a response to everything you say when they could just be silent. The constant movement of the servers due to the fact that everything is a tasting menu is dizzying. The food tastes good but the theatre of the presentation is way too much. I felt like I didn't even deserve to be eating the food or indeed to even be in the restaurant at all. Plus, one can hear every conversation at every nearby table which is another distraction. I had no idea what I was getting into when I decided to try this restaurant but it seems to be designed only for people who want to show off. It is not at all a relaxing dining experience. Obviously I'm just a rube and don't deserve to have eaten there at all. Likely won't return. It's just not worth the money.
I am so excited to have the opportunity to eat this caliber of food in Lancaster. Service was impeccable. I will definitely return to this restaurant.
