True chefs. Amazing food. Esquisit. Really enjoyed the food. The wine selection is great. Very pricey, but it is fine dinning. Server forgot to add the bottle of wine—we were honest and reminded them—they didn’t say thank you for reminding them or recognize our honesty. That’s ok. The food was amazing... amazing... amazing.
This might be the nicest restaurant I’ve ever been. Definitely the the fanciest in Lancaster. Food was incredible. Thierry the sommelier was a warm and genuine presence. He’s very nice to talk to and get a recommendation. On the pricier side for sure but great for a special occasion.
No contest—the finest cuisine and best service we’ve ever experienced. Highly recommend and will return soon
Phenomenal as always! The Valentine’s Day menu was crafted beautifully and the courses worked very well together. We loved the butter pecan old fashioned! As always, the staff went above and beyond to make the night excellent. The only issue all night came from another guest, but the staff made sure to apologize for the disturbance and handled the situation extremely well.
Every aspect of our experience was a pleasure, from the greeting at the door till picking up our coats am from the counter after. The food was both beautiful and a delight to eat. ( we literally had all the appetizers coursed out). Can’t stop recommending this venue to my friends and coworkers, will be back again!
Food was amazing and service was awesome! Thanks for the great night!
Did the 7 course tasting menu. Best meal we've ever had. I know what the chef makes. But he deserves a raise.
Simply exquisite! We could not believe that we were in Lancaster, PA. Each of the food courses were delicious artwork. The wine offerings, well, were outstanding. Service was exceptional. Daniel Boulud should be shaking in his boots and thanking his lucky stars your restaurant is not in NYC. You would certainly give him a run for his money.
We were celebrating a birthday and the hostess was kind enough to seat us at the best table in the dining room. We had the 4 course tasting with wine pairing. The service was outstanding. The waiter explained the preparation for each course and took our food sensitivities into account. The sommelier took the time to explain his choice of wine with each our courses. In addition to the extensive wine selection, the cocktail choices are also outstanding. Highly recommended.
We had a wonderful evening. The food was outstanding, with a large selection. The ambience was delightful, the service impeccable and the sommelier was a pleasure to talk to. I highly recommend Amorette and we will return
This is a gem in a town associated with Amish country. A NYC vibe, perfect detail to the decor, creativity at its finest and service I long for when dining out! Every detail from wine to food was breath taking and we were made to feel like royalty. Beyond an amazing value for the 4 course tasting menu. It was dinner and a show all wrapped up in one. Not only for special occasions. An oasis to relax, indulge and exceeds your expectations. Terri the wine sommelier is straight out of a master class and made us feel like we were in Italy or France with perfect pairings. Add this masterpiece to your list for everyday dining or special occasions. See you soon!
Our service level wasn’t as good as the last time we visited. Don’t get me wrong it was still very nice but at this level the service should be notable.
The wine prices are outrageous for what they are offering, kinda spoils some of the fun.
Excellent food and great atmosphere
It was truly an experience! This place is a gem - a foodies delight!
OMG, I'm a foody and I just had the best meal of my life. The service was incredible. The staff explained every course that we had and the sommelier was fantastic. He listened when I told him what kind of wine I wanted and then walked me through several options but let me decide. He served it perfectly. He knew is should breathe first so he decanted it. He came back every time our glasses got low and told us more abut the wine.
Absolutely the best dining experience I've ever had.
Portion sizing between courses needs work. Some dishes need balance(though product cooked well)
Pastry is great. Technique and application are sound.
Service is a little wack. Overcrowding tables. Missing ques. Walked past 6 employees without being shown where the bathroom was.
There's something Lancaster just doesn't understand about hospitality.
Truly extraordinary food and extraordinary wine. The atmosphere is warm and inviting and lends itself to lengthy conversations. What a find!
We have dined at Amorette twice, most recently at their New Year’s Eve dinner. The menu was excellent; the food, varied; the quality, second to none; the service, perfect; and the wines and pairings were outrageously delicious. I thought I was in NYC or Paris.
The food was very disappointing considering the cost and what was expected based on the description on the menu. Out of a party of 4 only one of us thought the meal was good. That gives you a one in 4shot of ordering right from the menu. The service was great, as was the ambiance. But ultimately you go for the food and that won’t happen again.
Our dining experience here can only be described as exceptional. The atmosphere, service, culinary offerings, presentations and wine list were beyond reproach. Amorette has easily claimed it's place as the finest culinary experience in the area.
Need to work on the details, but on its way to being a great restaurant.
Best high end restaurant in region. Competes with the best in any major city. Wine selection is massive but over priced
The ambiance and place settings are elegant. The food is very good, well prepared, beautifully presented and the serving sizes are generous. It is, however, so rich as to be almost overwhelming.
The waiter's skill-set is marginal at best. He seemed overwhelmed, confused and unsure. He asked if we'd like cocktails before dinner, took our order and fifteen minutes later returned to ask if we'd like cocktails before dinner. When asked about substituting cooked fish for the raw, due to dietary restrictions, he initially told us yes, but after checking with the kitchen, told us no, and offered to substitute a salad. A salad is no substitute for tuna tartare and fluke sashimi. At $137 per person for the tasting menu, they should be able to accommodate such a simple request. Fortunately they were able to substitute the corresponding vegetarian courses for the raw ones. The waiter should have suggested that himself, though.
On a positive note, the servers are all fantastic! They are attentive, informative about the courses and friendly. They should be the waiters and not glorified bussers.
All thngs being equal, at $500 for dinner for two (including drinks, tax and tip), it was an experience, but not one that we'll be repeating any time soon.
Anniversary dinner could not have been better in all ways! Excellent food and wine selections and impeccable service and attention to detail in beautiful surroundings!
Amazing! Very complex flavors... every course was an explosion of flavor
Fantastic experience! My husband and I are starting new Christmas traditions and we were looking for a special restaurant to go to on Christmas Eve. It was lovely from beginning to end. We will definitely be back next year! Thank you to the entire staff for making it a wonderful experience.
Wow! What an experience! Fantastic meal, service, atmosphere!
Excellent in every way. Service was superb
Oh my! What an amazing dinner! It was my birthday, and Amorette was a delight! Our server, Brittany was exceptional. She was attentive, well informed, and well informed. This was a treat for the senses!
The tuna tartare, and beef carpaccio were our starters. Both were beautifully arranged, and a treat for our mouths! The pheasant roulade and octopus were next. Again, just wonderful. The pheasant roulade was so moist and tender and the stuffing was the perfect accent. The octopus was beautiful, and done to perfection. Our entrees the short rib and the elk loin were both perfect. I would love a side of the sauce that was on the short rib! The desserts were light, flavorful, and beautiful. The take home tiny cookies made the experience last longer!
This is a GEM!!!!!
Great overall experience, from the wine selection to the fantastic food. Sommelier and wait staff were all very knowledgeable and friendly. Will definitely be returning!
An amazing dining experience in Lancaster. We felt transported to NYC or Europe. The food was fantastic with great taste and beautiful presentation.
There are a few rough edges. The lighting is a bit bright. The temperature was a bit on the cool side. The beautiful giant windows could use some shears to soften the lights from the CVS parking lot and to provide some privacy from the folks on the side walk.
The waitress presented herself quite sternly with the ordering instructions. She seemed less than friendly at first which was a bit off putting.
Then we had to flag her down to get the sommelier’s attention to order the wine.
Once the wine was poured and the first course delivered the magic began. All in all a wonderful night.
The deserts could use a little more work. They did not hold up to the other courses.
An amazing place that can be perfect with a few minor changes.
Thanks! We will be back!
Brought my managers to Amorette for our holiday luncheon. They were extremely impressed, as was I...we'll be back, I am sure of it! Great food, great service, staff are attentive and professional, and facility is beautifully appointed. Well done Team Amorette!
Hands down best meal of year in Philly and Lancaster.
The food was delicious. We had several servers. They were all outstanding except for one. She was very slovenly dressed, messy hair and not very attentive. Compared to the rest of the staff, she did not appear to fit in at all with physical appearance or actions. Our bill was $320 so definitely above other restaurants in Lancaster. But overall a very nice experience
Very wonderful experience...was wowed by the food and atmosphere... it was very fancy!
Close to perfection with only one exception..... The Wagyu strip steak I was served was riddled with tendon tissue making it hard to cut and chew. This was a major disappointment to an other wise very nice experience.
Being foodies, we appreciate the multitude of beautiful food and restaurants in Lancaster. We finally tried Amorette and loved every minute of it! This is a high end restaurant that is exceptional in every aspect of your dining experience. We chose the 4 course Prix Fixe menu. My wife had the French Creamy eggs with black truffle and I had the Foie Gras. Both were excellent! We followed that with the Lobster bisque and Lobster tail. Both amazing! We each had the short rib which was succulent and incredibly tender. Our desserts were both quite nice. Our sommulie chose a wonderful red wine to go with our short rib course. Money is best spent on experiences. Amorette is an experience well worth having!
Had lunch with my daughters! Very special!
Marvelous meal. Great experience
