Hands down best meal of year in Philly and Lancaster.
Close to perfection with only one exception..... The Wagyu strip steak I was served was riddled with tendon tissue making it hard to cut and chew. This was a major disappointment to an other wise very nice experience.
Being foodies, we appreciate the multitude of beautiful food and restaurants in Lancaster. We finally tried Amorette and loved every minute of it! This is a high end restaurant that is exceptional in every aspect of your dining experience. We chose the 4 course Prix Fixe menu. My wife had the French Creamy eggs with black truffle and I had the Foie Gras. Both were excellent! We followed that with the Lobster bisque and Lobster tail. Both amazing! We each had the short rib which was succulent and incredibly tender. Our desserts were both quite nice. Our sommulie chose a wonderful red wine to go with our short rib course. Money is best spent on experiences. Amorette is an experience well worth having!
Had lunch with my daughters! Very special!
Marvelous meal. Great experience
Delightful selection of unique dishes with ingredients you don't normally find in this area. Creative and fresh. Interior was elegant and service was friendly. The sommelier was incredibly helpful in finding the wine to fit our courses. Highly recommend if you are a foodie. Price fits the experience and quality.
Overall a positive dining experience. We were entertaining friends from out of town. They were impressed. Only negative is that service from the kitchen was very slow. It was 2 hrs. before we received our entrée. Prepare for a 3-hour dining adventure. Wonderful wine list and sommelier. A pre-dinner cocktail in the lounge is a must! Beautifully decorated with comfortable seating.
Wonderful experience, top notch service! Food was beautifully prepared and delicious.
By far the best fine dining in Lancaster PA.
The attention to detail is superb. Food and service excellent.
Food from start to finish was phenomenal. Not exaggerating everything was outstanding. Every course was better than the last. Service was top notch as well. We have frequented many high end restaurants around the country but this experience beats them hands down. Cannot recommend enough and will definitely be returning soon.
I had an amazing dinner. And the staff kindly brought us a special happy anniversary desert!
It was a First Class experience in Lancaster. From the decor, and the attentive service to the fabulous food and drink, it is unequaled outside of a major city. Well Done! My wife and I went out for her birthday and could not travel this year, so we did the next better thing, went out to Amorette. The food was inventive, delicious and wonderfully presented. The atmosphere was sophisticated but not too stuffy, and the over all experience well worth it.
Amazing food and Experience! Had the 4 course and everything was exceptional!
What a nice surprise to find such a gem of a dining experience in Lancaster, PA! From the food to the drink pairings everything was exceptional. We were also impressed with the engaging staff that educated us on the history of the resturant in addition to what they were serving. There’s nothing better to have employees who love what they do!
We’ll visit again.
Fantastic Find, will definitely be back! One of the best restaurants I have eaten at.
This was a return reservation to Amorette for my husband and I. We always look forward to coming back to Amorette and not only look forward to the food presentation, but especially the wine and Thierry’s extensive knowledge and explanation of the wines, and overall experience. For this dinner we brought my brother and his girlfriend visiting from Naples and both are in the restaurant industry. My brother also enjoys great food and wine. I have to say this was an off night for Amorette as far as service. It was disappointing as our server was often absent and did not seem invested in her job. She did not seem knowledgeable about the menu. She did not come back to check in and at the end of the night she never offered us any dessert wines/drinks which would have been appreciated. We had to ask for our check as we were going over to the bar area because she never came back. Also when I made the reservation through open table I placed a note that we were celebrating my brother’s belated birthday. There was absolutely no recognition or mention of his birthday. I was really looking forward to showing off Amorette given the restaurants my brother frequents in Naples. Amorette typically has the same exclusive feel but it unfortunately did not live up to our usual experience.
Unquestionably one of the finest restaurants in Lancaster. The service, Decour, superb quality of the food, wine selection, is unparalleled. This restaurant will rival anything in a metropolitan city.
I took my girlfriend there for her birthday, and it was a beautiful experience!
By far one of the best restaurants in Lancaster. We have been to many of the local higher end places around town and so far this is #1 on our list. Will definitely be back!
My husband and I loved our experience at Amorette! The cuisine was some of the best I've ever had with a nice number of options per course to fit a large array of palates! One of the first questions they asked was if we had any allergies or dietary restrictions, so I'm assuming they'd be more than wiling to work around a person's dietary needs (which is something rare in a fine dining atmosphere). A perfect location for celebrating a birthday, anniversary, or something special!
Our 2nd visit....service is great but my lamb entree was way too tough....especially at these prices. was disappointing.
Excellent food and top notch service. Expensive but worth every penny. Beautiful dining and bar area. Bar has excellent ambience and happy hour offerings Well worth the time and money.
Wonderful! Great food and service, great addition to Lancaster food scene.
Very stylish and attractive, new French inspired restaurant. Very good and professional service. Outstanding food prep and presentation. Broad and expansive wine list with wide price range. Outstanding sommelier. A bit pricy for its locale but worth it.
Love the decor, the ambiance, service and sommelier choices, my favorite restaurant!!!!!
We had a wonderful experience at Amorette ! The décor is glamorous and reminds you of NYC
or Philadelphia. The bar was busy when we arrived, yet we were greeted warmly and did not wait long for our drinks.
After being seated in the beautiful dining room, we chose the 4 course prix fix menu - there are lots of great choices in each of the four categories and it was difficult to choose ! The food was plated beautifully and was some the best we've enjoyed in a long time. Truly a gifted Chef and culinary team.
While the portions tended to be on the small size, all four of us were very full at the end of the meal. The service is French Style and was executed almost flawlessly. It's nice to have all the plates set down and removed at the same time, so much less intrusive.
For the desert course, you may choose from sweets or a cheese trolley - two of us had sweets (the best sorbet I've ever had), while two chose the cheese option.
We chose to add wine pairings with each of the courses - I can't complement Terrance enough - he is so knowledgeable about the wines and each went beautifully with the food. He also presented each wine with a story about the winery/family and this added to our enjoyment.
Amorette will be offering Wine Dinners in November and December - we are excited to have this opportunity in Lancaster and are looking forward to more magical evenings at this wonderful new restaurant.
Food was excellent. Nice ambiance. Good service. Great wine selection and very knowledgeable Sommelier.
Pleasantly surprised to find this kind of restaurant in Lancaster.
We had a wonderful dinner at Amorette....delicious and creative food, impeccable service, too! Thank you for bringing an amazing dining experience to Lancaster County! We will be back!
Great food and service. Huge wine selection and good spirits.
Exceptional food and the service was amazing. Definitely a perfect spot for special occasions.
A nice spot in downtown Lancaster. The sommelier was exceptionally entertaining and knowledgeable. The food was perfectly presented. We both had the 4 course prix fixe dinner and didn't go wrong with a single dish. Each dish/plate's presentation was photo-worthy, and we'd love to go back again.
fabulous addition to th Lancaster dining scene. truly a special restaurant from start to finish. Tasting menu only option is perfect to insure the full experience. The decor is VERY special. And the wine list is magnificent.
One of the best meals I’ve ever had. Staff was very gracious and kind.
My friends and I enjoyed lunch at Amorette. The hot towels with which to wash our hands which were presented to us upon arrival were appreciated. The small purse tables were also a nice touch.
We all enjoyed the crab dish. The crabcakes were made of jumbo lump crab meat. The baby bok choy side dish was a real treat.
Britney was an excellent server. She heard from our conversation that we were celebrating a birthday. She surprised us with Cherry Crunch cakes with a lit candle!
Mike very kindly gave us a tour of the restaurant. It is both a feast for the eyes and the palette.
As far as the food goes it was good but focus on seasoning was lacking. Several dishes screamed for a few flakes of salt. The cook on the antelope was also not consistent, my wifes came out medium rare while mine was a little over meduim. My biggest complaint though was with the Sommelier. He never offered us the wine pairing and after our first glass he never returned until our 5th course when I had to ask a server for another glass. The Sommeliers excuse was they were busy but I clearly watched him talk about his life story to another table for 15 minutes. At $20 a glass I would think they would want to be on that constantly. For the price you want a meal that was memorable, something special. Unfortunately I've have more memorable meals at other restaurants in the Lancaster area.
Apart from our assigned waitress that seemed to be spread out in the restaurant, the entire staff stepped in a provided excellent service. The food was very good and I would strongly recommend the four-course dinner. The variety of options in each of the four courses was excellent and there were many choices from oysters to crab to deep water turbot and antelope. I had the antelope and it was very good. The wine list is extensive. We're already planning to return soon.
The service and food were excellent but the 4 course meal lefts looking for more food and that was disappointing because I don't have a big appetite.
A fantastic experience overall. From the food to the wait staff everything lived up to what a restaurant of this caliber should be. I can not say enough good things about Amorette. Special thanks to the sommelier Thierry.
Thierry is amazing in his explanation of wine pairings. The food is outstanding! The decor and atmosphere is superb.
