Wow. From the very beginning to the very end, our evening was a complete delight. The service, the exquisite food, the artistry with which our meals were prepared, the thoughtfulness in every detail... we felt pampered, cared for, and appreciated as guests. The four-course pre-fixe menu offers a wide variety of options, including seafoods, less common proteins (ostrich, sweetbreads, guinea hen), interesting accompaniments and excellent dessert options. Along with the four courses, we received an amuse bouche, a pre-dessert dessert (a blood orange “pearl,” i.e. a pint-sized flavor bomb!), an after-dessert dessert (a cookie and a decadent piece of chocolate), and two truffles for the road. I will definitely return to try the pre-fixe seven-course meal (all courses are selected by the chef, with a complete vegetarian option) as well as some of the many wines suggested by the sommelier. Worth every penny.
Fantastic. The entire staff was impeccable. The food was delicious. The wine pairings were wonderful. A must visit.
Dinner was very relaxing. Food was great. I booked that it was a 65th birthday and the waiter did not acknowledge the birthday. Ordered risotto to accompany meal got it and end of meal. Nice place but probably will not return
Everything was perfect!! Food and wine pairings were awesome
This was a great place to celebrate a birthday with a special friend
This is real fine dining, something Lancaster historically had not had, and still is in somewhat limited quantity. Every dish is fabulous and the wine list, though not cheap, is quite extensive and has a something for everyone quality. This is very much a rewarding special occasion type restaurant. Cool lounge, too
Amazing experience. Food was awesome. Great service. One of top 10 restaurants I've ever been too. We'll be back for sure!!
You just never know where you will find a great restaurant. We were in Lancaster PA for a night so we looked around for something a little more gourmet than what we normally get in the area. The online menu looked creative with many dishes we would consider. There is a 7 course tasting menu but we opted for the 4 course where you could more readily select the dishes you thought were most interesting. The wine list was expensive but not because it was over-priced. The sommelier was knowledgeable and very personable. While I like picking my own wines, he added some history and region information to my selection. Service from being greeted at the door to the servers and chefs was perfect. The food was paced properly and everything came out at perfect temperature, plated creatively and served with polish you don't see that often. The restaurant is still pretty new but they definitely have their act together. I can't always eat like this, but I already want to go back.
This restaurant easily fits on with other James Beard winners like the Inn at Little Washington. The wine choices are comprehensive. We had the 4 course prix fixe. Each of the entrees- fish and meat- met the highest standards. The pear and lemon desserts were superb. One difference between the Inn and Amorette- It's been over two decades since the prices were even remotely comparable. Amorette is pricey but affordable. On a special occasion, we plan to enjoy another fine meal at Amorette.
My wife & I both had the 7 course tasting and I added the wine pairing. We were celebrating our 40th anniversary and we couldn’t have been happier with our dining experience at Amorette. We started by enjoying cocktails in the relaxing & very posh lounge. As we were taken to our dining table I was in awe as we passed row after row of wine bottles displayed behind a hallway of glass. Wow!
We thoroughly enjoyed each of the courses with one exception. The Kobe Strip was disappointing. It could be that our expectations were unrealistic since we had never eaten it before but have heard so much about Kobe beef. It seemed very fatty. This is insignificant though for our 4 hour dining experience. The wine pairings were perfect and I enjoyed the time that Thierry Lespare spent with us talking about the wines and his experiences.
This was a very relaxing and special evening. I’m happy to have a world class restaurant in Lancaster.
My parents actually went and said everything was amazing, food, service, ambience. Obviously it is an expensive restaurant, so they said it was a dining experience everyone should try but it is not something they would do again anytime soon.
Fantastic dinner. Can’t wait to get back! Ambience, service, wine and food all impeccable. Thank you!
Phenomenal! Very surprised to find this quality of food, wine and service outside of a large city. This is not your average restaurant! We will be back, again.
Excellent service, superb food and lovely presentation in a beautiful environment.
Staff and servers were very friendly and welcoming. Food was served leisurely and presentation was exquisite. Each course met our expectation and was delicious. We look forward to our next visit.
Open table question?
Why did we not get points for this booking?
Our 20th Wedding Anniversary. One of the best meals we’ve ever had. Service was great. Will be back!
The food is amazing, easily the best in Lancaster. The service is just as good. Overall a fantastic experience!
Lancaster should discover this restaurant! Everything about it was top quality. The duck breast, the potatoes, the lobster bisque, the bread, the dessert, and the wine service were excellent. Nothing was less than very good. We will be back.
Best dining experience in Southcentral PA. Creative, Delicious, Beautiful.
Fantastic dining experience and excellent staff
Just a great experience.
Theiry was fabulous as always! Dinner was divine.
We had a truly amazing dining experience. While it can be a bit pricey, the food was amazing and the service superb. It was worth the splurge to be pampered and spoiled in such a wonderful manner. Would recommend it for a special event or anytime you want to be treated extra special.
We were celebrating some birthdays in the family, we had the 4 course menu. Everything was very good the only complaint would be the octopus dish a friend ordered about a month ago, one person ordered it and only one piece of octopus on plate.
One of the best dining experiences one can have! The Foie Gras Torchon was one of the best of my life and octopus, lobster tail, and beef carpaccio has complex yet subtle mixes of flavors—true peak experiences. The wagyu entree was just okay (not as tender and flavorful as it could be). The short rib was tender and had nice flavors. The PB&J was out-of-this-world: comfort food elevated to haute cuisine. Will definitely have to come back here! Beautiful place too.
NYC dining found in Lancaster. Amazing...
Amorette is not dining out it is a dining experience. Be prepared for a price fixed dinner that will easily top $75 per person; however, at the end of the evening you can cross this off of your culinary bucket list. Excellent food choice, a wait staff totally focused on excellent service, and ambience you not find anywhere else in Lancaster.
A truly amazing dining experience. The staff was great Both Somaliers were great and the food was unbelievable. Don't miss trying this place .
This was our second time at Amorette, and our experience was just as great as our first. All of our servers were top-notch, and the sommelier was again first-rate.
Restaurant reservation was a completely random last minute decision using Opentable.
Place as fabulous!
Very good food, raising the bar in Lancaster. Some touches were a little over the top, but nice to have a place like that in the area now.
Very enjoyable experience. Everything from the service, food and wine was perfect!
The Salmon was wonderful and the meringue dessert was exquisite. My only complaint is that at lunch time a glass of Chardonnay cost $15. I know wine prices are going up but my three-course meal was $30. Food and service are very nice there.
We're in love. We've been twice in the past month and just adore Amorette. From perfectly balanced flavors and gorgeous presentation to thoughtful service (the server assistant remembered us on our second visit, the male server coursed our 7 course lunch beautifully, and the bartender made great conversation and helped us even though we made it to the lounge just a touch late following lunch) and little extra special touches (I appreciate genuinely comfortable chairs, real hand towels, convenient parking, and unique selections. I'm told at one point there were even massages). We've eaten pretty much the entirety of the lunch menu and half of the cocktails. Will absolutely be doing a date in the lounge and a dinner date. Just fabulous.
Lovely ambiance and food presentation was appealing. Strongly recommended for dinner dates.
Restaurant week Lancaster
Quiet. good service. Elegantly prepared food. All in all a very enjoyable lunch.
Service was impeccable. Food was good, but the price definitely reflects the fine dining experience more than the craftsmanship/quality of the food.
We had an amazing time. The food was delicious and the service was fabulous. The seven course rating menu is definitely worth it. My only complaint is that their wine selection is absurdly over priced. Google your selection before you pay a lot of money for a $10 bottle of wine, or just go with their cocktails which are good and much more reasonably priced.
Superb! Fantastic food, beautiful ambiance and outstanding service!
