Amis Trattoria - Devon
Tremendous food and wonderful service. A great atmosphere and very reasonably priced
Really enjoyed! I wasn’t terribly hungry so ordered the arugula asparagus crab salad and added salmon. The salad minus the salmon was a $12 or $15 dollar salad and was a really small portion for all that money. It was like a side salad. So that was a bummer and if I were to do that again then I’d order your Caesar. The aperol spritz drinks were perfect and we really enjoyed our friends.
Some extra dinner entrees might be an idea as there were only 5-6 to choose from.
Enjoyed and will return but being honest about Saturdays visit! Thanks
We love this place
Charming eatery surrounded by Terrain's posh gardens. Fairly simple seasonal cuisine. Good wine, beer and cocktail offerings. Excellent service (thank you, Laura!). Perfect place to reconnect with friends.
I love mais in every level. The staff is soooo good and food is always impeccable
The hostess and waiter were the best! Could not have been nicer or more efficient. We had wine - a very nice Riesling and a very good Pinot Noir. The bread that was served was delicious. I had the pork chop Parmesan and it was delicious and steaming hot. My DH had the ricotta ravioli which were also delicious. Dessert was rice pudding with chopped pistachios and fig jam. Yummy!
The restaurant has a rather stark look - not warm and cozy. Our chairs were rock hard - no padding although we noticed other chairs looked more comfortable in the adjoining dining room.
Menu is somewhat limited. Our bill including tip was $100. It was a very pleasant dining experience.
The food was excellent, well prepared and very flavorful. Also, the ambiance is outstanding, very nicely designed space
I made a reservation via opentable. The hostess did not have my reservation despite providing confirmation number and all other details for my reservation. They were able to seat us bc they were not busy but if they had been, it would have been problematic.
Food and service are average: Spinach salad was tasteless. Great space for eating with a group of friends or family.
Food and ambiance were great. Service was terrible. Waiter never introduced himself or told us the specials and he never asked how the appetizer or entrees were. The hostess/manger was kind and helpful.
Table was ready on time and than waited 20 minutest for our drinks and than another 20 minutes to order, when appetizers arrived they also brought one of our entrees. Their attempt at correcting this was to give us a free dessert. Food was also disappointing, as short rib pizza had 3 pieces of short ribs on it. Octopus was drowned in chili peppers. Our entrees were drowned in olive oil.
Service and drinks were very good. The food was just okay for the price.
We have really loved the Amis in Philly - this one in Devon is no comparison. I got the meatballs (fair) and the scallops which were very bland and on the rubbery side. We also had the bolongese pasta (considerably better)
Very pleasant ambiance and good service. Thinly sliced ahi tuna was overly seasoned with disappointing vegetables. Steak, although tasty and cooked to specifications, had a fair amount of gristle.
The restaurant is lovely. The food was good. The service, not so good. We had to ask for things 2 to 3 times. Part of our order (our sides) were completely forgotten. If this restaurant gets their servers up to snuff it will be a force because the facility is special.
Amis was a delightful experience. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was great. Due to the last-minute decision to go to this restaurant we sat at the counter. It was quite a nice place to dine.
Experience was generally unremarkable. Really expected more. Food presentation was underwhelming as was the service.
Wonderful food and service
Great chef, great atmosphere, great service, great food...highly recommend this lovely place
Went foot happy hour. Bar snacks make great appetizers. Chopped salad delicious.
Service (Kim) was outstanding. While the food is excellent, we find Amis a little pricey and therefore, we go to Amis as a treat.
Came for Easter
No pepper offered.
OJ came with ice.
Nobody there but waiter was in the weeds.
Specials for Easter were ok
My second visit
Great food, gorgeous ambiance. A real gem!
Beautiful restaurant! Staff very friendly. The brussel sprouts were delicious. The pastas (cacio e pepe, bolognese) while flavorful, could have been a touch more al dente with a bit less oil.
Great food usually. However, tonite it could have been hotter. We had to switch seats Becca use of the sun. Service was friendly, a little slow.
We feel the music is way too loud; especially in the dining area.
Very loud. Hard to hear over everyone's chatter.
We had an excellent dining experience at Amis this weekend by all measures. We sat at the counter and watched Chef Kristina and her staff execute the line with precision. Our server Kim was excellent. The ambiance is great — it’s just a winner by every measure -
Octopus, Roasted Chicken, Pizzette....a delicious Italian Pinot....perfect night out for my wife and I.
Great dinner apps and drinks
We had a wonderful and will be back. a little expensive, but food was excellent.
Always have a great meal at Amis. Started going to the one in the city, and it’s a breath of fresh air to have Amis in the burbs. Simple and classic Italian food. The Bufala Mozzarella with the jam is amazing! The pastas are simple, yet delicious. My only criticism is that I’m not used to a ton of pecorino cheese sprinkled on a classic margherita pizza. I think it takes away from the flavor of the San Marzano tomatoes and the fresh mozzarella. It was still delicious. You can definitely tell that they proof the dough for a few days which really increases the flavor of the crust on the pizza! Definitely love eating here!
Amis gave us a wonderful dining experience. Our server was the best with a great sense of humor - she understood all my husbands attempts at humor. We loved the spinach /ricotta stuffed meatballs and spinach salad. We both enjoyed the beef bolognese entree. A delicious ending was enjoyed with mom mom’s rice pudding.
Great new neighborhood restaurant. Food is amazing...I love the caesar salad...the scallops, pizzettes & lamb ragu are so good...seating is comfortable and wait staff is very knowledgeable and happy to be working there.
Service and food was amazing - get the Brussel Sprouts!
Food was beyond delicious and fresh! My husband and I shared each dish and were impressed by every single plate! Octopus, chop salad, scallops, mushroom pizza special and pastas were incredible! Definitely returning!!
Our meal started off a little rocky mainly because our table was delayed by almost 30 minutes. However after 20 minutes the manager recognize that we were still waiting and offered us a complimentary champagne. Very nice. The courtesies continued once we were seated. We were given complimentary appetizers which even accommodated one gluten-free guest. Service for the remainder of the night was outstanding. The food was excellent. We loved everything that we ate. Pizza, pasta, salad and the roast chicken. We were going to skip dessert but our server brought us complementary tiramisu as well as gluten-free cookies. We toasted with an Irish whiskey to finish the night. We will definitely come back.
Service was a bit rocky. Waiter seemed a bit dazed and confused. They sat us right next to a door to the outside and wait staff rushing through the door all night.
The bucatini with almond pesto which is a highlight of the center city location was bland, mushy and way overcooked.
Just not that special for the money. Cool idea and venue, but the food was rather plain and expensive for what you get.
