Amis Trattoria - Devon
Service (Kim) was outstanding. While the food is excellent, we find Amis a little pricey and therefore, we go to Amis as a treat.
My second visit
Great food, gorgeous ambiance. A real gem!
Beautiful restaurant! Staff very friendly. The brussel sprouts were delicious. The pastas (cacio e pepe, bolognese) while flavorful, could have been a touch more al dente with a bit less oil.
Great food usually. However, tonite it could have been hotter. We had to switch seats Becca use of the sun. Service was friendly, a little slow.
We feel the music is way too loud; especially in the dining area.
Very loud. Hard to hear over everyone's chatter.
We had an excellent dining experience at Amis this weekend by all measures. We sat at the counter and watched Chef Kristina and her staff execute the line with precision. Our server Kim was excellent. The ambiance is great — it’s just a winner by every measure -
Octopus, Roasted Chicken, Pizzette....a delicious Italian Pinot....perfect night out for my wife and I.
Great dinner apps and drinks
We had a wonderful and will be back. a little expensive, but food was excellent.
Always have a great meal at Amis. Started going to the one in the city, and it’s a breath of fresh air to have Amis in the burbs. Simple and classic Italian food. The Bufala Mozzarella with the jam is amazing! The pastas are simple, yet delicious. My only criticism is that I’m not used to a ton of pecorino cheese sprinkled on a classic margherita pizza. I think it takes away from the flavor of the San Marzano tomatoes and the fresh mozzarella. It was still delicious. You can definitely tell that they proof the dough for a few days which really increases the flavor of the crust on the pizza! Definitely love eating here!
Amis gave us a wonderful dining experience. Our server was the best with a great sense of humor - she understood all my husbands attempts at humor. We loved the spinach /ricotta stuffed meatballs and spinach salad. We both enjoyed the beef bolognese entree. A delicious ending was enjoyed with mom mom’s rice pudding.
Great new neighborhood restaurant. Food is amazing...I love the caesar salad...the scallops, pizzettes & lamb ragu are so good...seating is comfortable and wait staff is very knowledgeable and happy to be working there.
Service and food was amazing - get the Brussel Sprouts!
Food was beyond delicious and fresh! My husband and I shared each dish and were impressed by every single plate! Octopus, chop salad, scallops, mushroom pizza special and pastas were incredible! Definitely returning!!
Our meal started off a little rocky mainly because our table was delayed by almost 30 minutes. However after 20 minutes the manager recognize that we were still waiting and offered us a complimentary champagne. Very nice. The courtesies continued once we were seated. We were given complimentary appetizers which even accommodated one gluten-free guest. Service for the remainder of the night was outstanding. The food was excellent. We loved everything that we ate. Pizza, pasta, salad and the roast chicken. We were going to skip dessert but our server brought us complementary tiramisu as well as gluten-free cookies. We toasted with an Irish whiskey to finish the night. We will definitely come back.
Service was a bit rocky. Waiter seemed a bit dazed and confused. They sat us right next to a door to the outside and wait staff rushing through the door all night.
The bucatini with almond pesto which is a highlight of the center city location was bland, mushy and way overcooked.
Just not that special for the money. Cool idea and venue, but the food was rather plain and expensive for what you get.
Food was very good and plentiful. Our waiter was informative and his recommendation were excellent. Sat near a very loud foursome which was only deterrent
Beautiful ambiance. Great food. Creative menu. Good service.
This is a great neighborhood spot...it is more expensive but the food, drinks & atmosphere are worth it...all wait staff is experienced and helpful...we will be back
Beautiful place, very good food, and excellent service but food and wine especially pricey though.
They weren’t very accommodating to food allergies. What I did have was bland and disappointing.
One of our favorite places. Tara, that helped us with menu, is awesome!
The restaurant is beautiful and the service was very good. The issues were with the food. All four at the table (one a cec) agreed the octopus was over salted almost to the point of being inedible. The burger was ordered medium rare with no tomato. It arrived with tomato and gray throughout. The cacio e Pepe was lukewarm and congealing by the time it got to the table. A very different experience from Amis in Philadelphia.
Can't wait until it's warm enough for the outdoor seating.
The service was outstanding.. the food amazing .. went for our wedding anniversary and enjoyed the entire evening
Food was good but not excellent. Overall, a good choice for casual neighborhood dining.
Wonderful experience here with delicious food and great service! Will absolutely return. Highly recommend!
Great food and service.
Loved the bread, the ravioli was amazing.
The wine list needs improvement 🍷
Great dining experience! Highly recommended!
The restaurant is very attractive and the seating is spread out so it is not super noisy in the restaurant. The bar area is very noisy and active. The menu selection was very good, with lots of options including vegetarian selections. The food was cooked well and had depth of taste.
Pizeefe was good but pastas were nothing exceptional. I had to send back my pasta because it was incredibly salty. They remade it but it still wasn’t good. I honestly think i could have done a better job at home. Won’t be returning.
Other than the name, purchased from Marc Vetri several years ago, Amis bears no resemblance to the original in Philadelphia. We arrived at 6 PM before the restaurant was busy, yet the service was poor (the wait staff were fairly young, clearly inexperienced and definitely spread thin.
The bufala ricotta bruschetta, usually, was served with olive oil. The chopped salad contained large pieces of romaine and a few bits of onion and tomato with a tasteless dressing. The rigatoni Bolognese contained cheese (the menu did not note this and the waiter did not mention it).
We have not been to the original Amis in quite some time (and not since Marc Vetri exited), so can't comment on that location, but the Devon location leaves much to be desired.
By the time we left (close to two hours after arriving) the bar was hoping. Perhaps that is the main attraction.
Late lunch on Sunday was quiet. Service was excellent. Food was wonderful
Good and delicious Mediterranean food!
Always a good choice.
Friendly staff- acoustics in the bar dining area horrible - so loud couldn’t hear our table conversation -
Food overall good and service was good
4th visit in less than three months. Love this place.
