Everything was excellent! We sat at the counter by the kitchen, which was great. We got to see everything come out, so we definitely have to go back to try more things. Our waiter, Justin, made this a truly wonderful dining experience.
We sat at the counter and watched the Chefs do their thing....the best seat in the house!! the food, wine and service were impeccable...will definitely be back with friends and family!!!
We have frequented another location and thought we would try the one in Devon - totally different vibe.
Nice however, very noisy. Fortunately we were in a corner in the bar. The Prosecco was good, the Bufalo ricotta appetizer absolutely delectable! The main course Chanterells on Cocoa pasta wAs seriously brown. from the pasta to the chanterelles. Unfortunately the chanterelles were lost in the brown reduction, the flavor was intense. Flavor of Chanterelles over powered by a strong (tasty) mushroom reduction. Visually not appealing because it present as a very dark sauce with slightly brown pasta and mystery mushrooms.
The Chanterelles could have been any mushroom as they were lost in the sauce. The Tiramisu was mostly whipped cream with powdered chocolate on a very small piece of cake. Definitely not a proper Tiramisu!
Acoustics could use improvement. Much too noisy for a conversation. Table spacing good. Waitress was excellent as was the hostess. Will return however, other than the starter i will branch out and try other dishes which look good.
Love this place. It's a new favorite for taking clients as well as for family dinners.
First time there. Food and service was excellent.
Decent food. Not great service. Brought 4 pieces of bread for 7 people. Had to ask for butter and oil. Didn't offer Parmesan cheese for pasta. Better options out there
Service was ok, he was nice but didn’t check back really. Cauliflower and Buff mozzarella app with pear were both super yummy. Pork chop was pretty good but the plate is literally only the chop. Chicken was cooked well but the preparation wasn’t good. Brussels and potato side were good. Love the complimentary sparkling water. Also had the raviolis they were yummy! Place is pretty Took dessert Togo. We will try again. But I must say the kitchen had timing down well
Amis is a wonderful addition to the Main Line. This was my third visit to this restaurant. It's a beautiful dining space with delicious food and excellent service. It is located in Devon Yard, so you can shop at
Terrain and Anthropology too. I will be a
frequent diner here. Well done Amis!
1:15pm reservation on a Sat afternoon. Slow service despite the restaurant not being crowded. The food served was barely warm. The salmon was very dry. I requested a balsamic glaze to drizzle on it and they brought me balsamic vinegar. I did not complain while I was there that day as I was with a friend that I invited as a guest and I was embarrassed by the experience. When I called to let them know I was going to post this review on Open Table all they could say was they were sorry and they would share my complaints with management. Then I was told they hoped I would give them another try. Really????? Sorry, no thank you.
What a disappointment! Terrible service...ambiance mediocre. We are not ones to ask for the manager but did this time. He was gracious but not sure we will be back. Vetri restaurants have gone dramatically downhill once sold to URBAN. That said the shopping complex is beautifully done.
I was unimpressed with the restaurant. The pizza can out "luke warm" and the server tried to make excuses stating that was the concept. Been to their other restaurants and was expecting more. I wouldn't go back!
Bar seating area was freezing. Bad set up that door opens up into seating and bar area. We waited along time before anyone even knew we were seated. I suggest hostess seats you with menus instead of someone coming out from kitchen with menu and better coordination between hostess and servers.
Bucatini with jalapeno was soaked with olive oil, not needed. Wasn't expecting that much olive oil.
Gave the bill with survey to fill out but no pen. After paying with credit card they didn't bring the survey back when they brought the bill back to sign credit card receipt.
We took our 90 year old plus parents to Amis. Our server was classy and sensitive to their hearing, etc. Food was very good. Will definitely return.
Good food and drinks. Service was good. We were a large group of 8
Food was uninspired. Lamb was not prepared as requested. It was over cooked. We were told no cheese on the pasta special yet it came topped with cheese. My husband is lactose intolerant so it had to be sent back. Took almost 15 minutes before server came for our drink order.
When I made the reservation I wrote a note that it would have been a birthday celebration and was expecting them to bring a candle on the dessert we ordered, but it didn’t happen. It was disappointing to see that they did it for another party .
We totally enjoyed our experience at AMIS. The space is great looking, modern and the staff is top notch. Very attentive!
The cocktails are terrific and the pizza delicious.
This is a great place for any occasion.
Great food, reasonably priced and excellent service. I will be back!
Very good to excellent food. Excellent waitstaff. Music too loud . . . Even after we asked to turn it down. Tablecloths or other noise absorbing surfaces would help. Would definitely return with smaller party.
Had an excellent dinner for two with a pizza for one and Pumpkin Gnocchi for another and two great glasses of wine. We split the chocolate hazelnut semifreddo, and it is huge - took half home! A great meal, but even at 7 the noise level was VERY high, so this is not the place for quiet, or frankly any real conversation!
The restaurant is very nice. Our food was also very good. One small complaint is the bread on the meatball part was too soft. All of the food tasted great, however. Service was also very good.
what a great surprise just mins from where we live. Delicious! Casual and great menu.
Decent food with an enticing menu that will have me returning for another visit. Service was great with helpful and friendly staff. Nice atmosphere and well worth a visit.
Just enjoyed a delicious meal .We had the eggplant bruschetta, crust cauliflower and mushroom pizza to start and I had the cocoa fettuccine as my main course. The service was a little hit and miss and we could have done with the heating put up a notch or two as well as some candles on the table to add to the atmosphere.
Waiter was excellent. Food amazing!
Tara, our server, was fantastic- I knew which wine selection I wanted immediately, but my friend was having a hard time deciding. Tara listened to what she was looking for and made a selection that she ended up loving! We both couldn't decide between some of the new seasonal menu items (fig & prosciutto pizza and the pumpkin ravioli), so we decided to order both and share. Best decision that we made- both dishes were well-balanced and out of this world. The portions were just enough where we left satisfied but not over-stuffed. Definitely make a reservation, we were there on a Wednesday night and it was packed by 7:00! Can't wait to see what they roll out with next.
Happy hour was good. The wine and beer were about half the regular price. The only happy hour food is a slice of pizza for $6. The menu is limited but the food is really good. the drinks are very expensive so happy hour 4-6 is the way to go.
Horrible acoustic planning for a newly built restaurant. Noise bounced around so bad I could not hear the person I was with talk. Not the place to go for a romantic night- better for a GNO. Food was better than average but not OMG.
Second visit. Weekday rarely evening so it didn’t get noisy till about half way through our visit. We ordered several things to share. Ravioli was a bit bland but the Brussels sprouts and potato and Caesar salad were good. It’s just so darn expensive.
Sat at the chefs counter and ordered one of every kind of dish - including dessert. My wife and I ate like it was a Roman baccanal, and it was delicious! Highly recommend the spinach and ricotta meatballs and the baked peccorino. The pork chop parmigiana was amazing. Great vibe too for a night out without the kids!
Second time here and still think it is one of the best restaurants around. Appetizers are ample enough to share or have as an entree. Three of us shared the kale and market salads to start. Entrees of rigatoni bolognese, lamb chops and sea scallops all disappeared. Good sauces with all and sides were ample. You can add on here with additional options for upgrade. Honey cake was delicious for dessert. Waitress was very friendly and incredibly knowledgeable on each dish and preparation. There are GF options but not on the pasta or pizzas yet. Working on it so will be back.
The food at Amis was creative and delicious. I would highly recommend the rigatoni bolognese. My boyfriend had the NY strip and the seasoning was great as was the temperature. The restaurant is next to a nursery that is lit up at night and really lovely to look at. Cocktails are great (try the Four Roses Old Fashion) and there is a wide selection. Lastly, the service was fantastic! Jose was knowledgeable and extremely attentive. We will definitely be going back.
Restaurant closed unexpectedly—went elsewhere. No explanation
Food great. Know it is new but been over 2 months and service was very bad. Heard same from others.
Nice vibe when you walk in and the whole complex very inviting. Waited a little too long for a contact after we were seated. The food was great and well priced. The wine list another story. There were no wines less than $50 and none of them worth what they were asking. Kind of ruined a great experience otherwise.
Great food, fun atmosphere, Tara our server was amazing and delightful.
Beautiful setting and lovely service.
Arrived early and had drinks at bar. Cocktail menu minimal and underwhelming, as were the cocktails we ordered.
Had 7 PM reservations. Restaurant was at best 50% full, but we had to wait at least 15 minutes. No comp.
The theme of dinner was way too much salt, oily, over peppered. Bread was served (even though we said we did not want it). It arrives in a small loaf pan so you are enticed to believe it is fresh out of the oven. Nope - ice cold, and topped with salt. Neighboring table sent it back to kitchen.
Appetizer: Beef cheeks. I love beef cheeks, not these. Too much salt. If there was prosciutto in the dish I missed it completely. The pears added nothing. Best part, fired sage leaves.
Salad: Sardine Salad. I love sardines - not these. So over salted almost inedible. No Balance. Served with "sesame bread" that was better left in the kitchen for crumbs. Pickled vedge all sour and salt. Very unbalanced.
Scallops. oily!!!! salty!!! Nothing redeeming. Just a mess.
Stripe Steak. By outside appearance the steak looked awful, uneven cut, gray. Was however med-rare as ordered, but just did not have a grass-fed flavor.
Just a completely underwhelming experience. No reason to return.
Very disappointed with the food. Ordered the chopped salad with chicken and was told it was done with romaine lettece and it came out with iceberg lettece and was very simple had to ask for cheese as there was not much on it.The chicken was a small portion dry and plain with no flavor. Disappointing for $18.
The margarita pizza we ordered came out not hot and the waiter said it was suppose to be that way . They serve their pizza at room tempature. Found that strange. We had a side of Brussels spouts and roasted potatoes that were very good.
