Amis Trattoria - Devon
The food was very bland had no flavor. While the pasta tasted fresh the overall plate was bland. The ambiance was dark, somewhat loud and hollow feeling. It felt like you were eating in a warehouse. Truly disappointed with the overall experience.
A beautifully designed space in an equally stunning location surrounded by the grounds of Anthropologie and Terrain. Come early and wander through the outdoor spaces before cocktail at the bar. Dine in or outside.
Fabulous food and ambiance. Gorgeous environment. Loved it!
Four of us had dinner here on a Saturday night. All of us loved every single thing we ate, from octopus, Brussels sprouts, and “meatballs” for apps, to salads, pork, and steak for dinner. We unfortunately didn’t have room for dessert but they sounded amazing. Amis is such a beautiful restaurant and the service was fantastic as well. We will be back for sure!
I don’t understand sandwiching tables into the smallest area possible. We were a hand’s width from the tables next to ours—I was closer to the people on either side of me than my dinner partner. The restaurant was so noisy we couldn’t hear each other. It was a very disappointing experience.
Food is good however the menu is limited
Amis Trattoria is a delightfully nice new restaurant. The menu is very creative and not the usual but it is EXCELLENT. Served quickly and all was delicious!
A gem that has become our go-to for special or everyday occasions. Inventive and delicious food, great cocktails, top notch service (not too much or too little) and great atmosphere.
Outside was awesome. Quiet and very comfortable
The BEST fettuccine dish I’ve ever had in my life made with fresh pasta, roasted corn and scallions. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Food was tasty but pricey. Would not recommend the octopus appetizer as the spices are overwhelming and you do not really taste the octopus.
Couldn’t find our reservation through open table. Put us in the bar area.
Great place. Excited to go back.
Ran out of Heineken Light in a Saturday nite
No other light beer on the menu
May seem petty but is disappointing
Wouldn’t go back
The food at Amis was delicious! Everything came out hot and in an appropriate time frame. We had a nice relaxing evening and didn’t feel rushed. We will definitely be going back
Bar experience was great, bartender was fabulous. Dining experience was just not as good—we had asked for outside seating and arrived early to have a drink at the bar, by time they came to us the outside area was apparently full. Also this is fourth time I’ve been and no matter what we choose the food remains just ok.
you can eat at Amis twice a week and it wont be too much!
beautiful atmosphere sitting outside overlooking the night lights at Anthro. The service was a little off and the menu is very limited but all was good. PERFECT place to sit and have a glass of wine and an appetizer.
Lovely outdoor setting overlooking twinkling lights, colorful ceramics and plant displays by Terrain. I adored my rose and brick chicken. Fab service.
Outdoor seating was lovely looking over flower garden at terrain.
Excellent dishes! Quality cuisine a bit pricey, but worth it. I will be back!
Noise level and music too high. Food excellent and creative.
A neighborhood favorite and a great place to celebrate our anniversary. LOVE the meatballs, cheese plate and pasta bolognese. Found my favorite drink of summer here - the Amis Punch is a must have. After enjoying it here, had to go out and buy aperol to make this drink at home. Can’t go wrong at this terrific spot!!
We had a lovely Summer dinner Saturday night: Caesar salad, Bucatini with swordfish, scallops, calamari and ricotta pound cake for dessert. Service was perfect. Totally satisfied. Thank you!!
Great night out. Fun atmosphere!! Outstanding service.
This has lots of possibilities. Add more meat, fish and chicken dishes. Love what they’ve done to Waterloo Gardens; time to make the menu as great!
The “meatless” meatballs were delicious and the salads very tasty, but the meal went downhill from there. The server forgot one of the salads but quickly corrected the mistake. The next course arrived and the lasagna was over cooked to the point of being dried out on one side. The other pasta dish was uninspired at best. The biggest issue was the noise level which was so high it was almost impossible to have a conversation. After yelling to each other over the table for an hour we couldn’t wait to leave.
We had a amazing dinner - service was excellent as was food!
You feel that Amis will be a great dining experience because it's in a beautiful setting, with nice tables and attentive servers...but the food is only "okay." There were some highlights like the pork chop parmigiana, but all the other selections were not great. The eggplant bruschetta was bland and too cold with over-toasted bread, the crispy octopus was disappointing, and the rigatoni bolognese was only meh. For $150 for a table of 4, you would expect the food to be outstanding...but it was just "okay."
Very good meal. Had the Ahi Tuna Steak with fiddleheads, ramps and olive tapenade . Tasted as good as it sounds!
Servers were attentive but let us linger and chat. Scallops were excellent!
It's a winner. Menu is not overwhelming - has at the right amount of variety.
Service considerably lacking, unorganized and difficult to even place our order. Ordered bottle of wine, 45 min later, wine never shows, so we cancel it. What should have been an hour and half dinner turned into 3 1/2 mostly of waiting. Food is nothing to write home about. Pretty place but that’s about it.
Expensive for small portions.
Everything was good besides the duck. The buck came over a plate of unseasoned beans and strawberries. Duck was also dry and bland. For the price there should be more effort put into the dish.
Excellent food and great service! We ate outside and the view is pretty. The live music from the wedding next store was a treat too.
All the food was amazing and great atmosphere. The service was very attentive to everyone there and always made sure that we were good on what we all got.
Outdoor seating was available, but we were informed the tables were reserved. When I made our reservation, I was informed outdoor seating was "First come, First served". Too NOISY inside to carry on a conversation for a table of four.
This was a huge disappointment. I had expected more. If you want duck with crisp skin that has the texture of a pencil eraser, this is the place for you. (I cautiously eat duck at restaurants. I told our server that. I was told the duck here was exceptional.) My companion had a pasta dish and said it had good taste, but meagre sauce.
We've dined at Terrain several time for brunch/lunch and liked it very much. This member of the restaurant line was not up to our expectations.
We expected good service on a Mon night. That was weak too.
I’ve been once before and enjoyed it - food was good and service was ok but, unfortunately, on this occasion we had terrible service and less than average food. My pizza was cold and instead of making a fresh one it was just “warmed up” - it was inedible. Everything else was very average except for the crispy potatoes, which were delicious. We’ll go back because we like the atmosphere and location, I just hope they spend some time training their wait staff and take a bit more pride in the food that goes out of the kitchen.
