Almost all food was room temperature. Veal flavor was poor. We were the last table seated for the evening and felt like the kitchen had basically shut down.

A-Miss! This was our 31st trip to St Barths and we were at this location when the restaurant was called Le Rivage. We tried it after it re-opened as Amis about 3 - 4 years ago. It was not very good overall then. After hearing of the new Chefs we decided to try it again and we’re very excited. This was not worth it. Ordered a smoked bourbon drink that sounded really good. 1 hour later after appetizers were almost finished they asked if we wanted wine. We reminded them of the cocktail we never received. They quickly brought them out in a very unusual glass that you pretty much have to use a straw. We could tell the drink had no smokiness and it was super strong. I do drink old fashioned regularly and this was stronger. Turns out the smoke machine was broken so they used Maker’s Mark instead? They didn’t charge us after asking how we liked it. The starters were really good (Fish Krudo) and decent (Octopus). The main course of Cod was extremely over cooked as was the sea bass. The Dover Sole was good. The people serving were very nice and did try hard but you don’t ignore the cocktail order when you can’t make it as advertised with the Bourbon you say. Also, ask for Wine request when you order your food, not 1 hour later. The restaurant decor and ambience is excellent. I asked the server to tell us about the chef and she said she’d only been there 1 month and he’s a very nice guy. She said he made the menu but it sounded like he wasn’t there to cook it. If you order wine, Krudo fish and Dover sole you will probably have a great experience. This was our 6th dinner on our current trip and by far last place so far (by a large margin)

Beautifully decorated restaurant with the perfect settings. Delicious dishes of excellent quality ingredients, perfectly cooked. Great deserts as well. Service is also excellent. Very romantic and chill. Hard place not to come back for lunch or dinner.

We celebrated my partner’s 50th birthday at Amis last night here on St. Barths. We knew it was going to be special but it went beyond our expectations! From the moment we were greeted by Kevin, it was 2 1/2 hours of the best service, the most delicious food & the best view over the pristine beach of Cul de Sac. The restaurant is absolutely stunning and lit in a way that makes everything feel relaxed yet romantic. The staff & their service was 3 michelin star worthy, from beginning to end. The celebratory & complimentary champagne to close out our amazing night was perfect 🥂🏖🥂 Thank you for an unforgettable experience at Amis. We can’t wait to come back.

Their menu needs more descriptive text. We had the cauliflower starter which was very good, and surprisingly brushed with turmeric before roasting. Delicious. But the my companion ordered the mahi mahi burger. There was nothing on the menu to indicate that, unlike almost every other mahi mahi burger in St. Barth, this one was a fried patty with chopped up fish and veg and a healthy dose of turmeric. Served with a side of turmeric mayo to go with her fries. Other diners were also heard to be expressing their dismay that the burger was not just grilled fish as it tends to be, but if this many items are going to show up with the dominant flavor being turmeric, it might be nice to know that ahead of time. We have eaten inside here in the past and the ambience was nicer. It's lovely to have your feet int he sand but i felt like I was dining in the middle of several families' day at the beach. Dining tables just too close to the beach chairs. I ordered the salad nicoise which was also a real disappointment. Lots of large leaves of boston bibb lettuce, a couple anchovies, three or four scant slices of tuna. Just not so good.

Such a fantastic restaurant, the menu is just outstanding. There is definitely something for everyone and our entire party just loved all of their meals. An incredible chef and extremely attentive weight staff. Everyone is so friendly it feels like home!

Food at its best! Live music was very good, but a little bit loud for dinner, but they were really good. The service was not at the level of the restaurant. Forgot the water, didn’t fill up the glasses, didn’t know who ordered what…. They just weren’t present. Ambiente is very nice and very pleasant, tables far from each other, enough privacy. We will be back in two days!

We had eaten there before. They changed the restaurant to tapas. Ever hear of a Restaurant with full bar and bartender but only have 5 cocktails? Can’t get a vodka and tonic or a lemon drop. The food was Horrible. We were there about 4 years ago and it was terrific. Now it is just an empty place to try to get a meal. Don’t waste your time or effort. Go Anywhere else but there!!!

C'était la 3è fois que nous allions déjeuner Aux Amis . L'endroit est toujours aussi magique, le service toujours impeccable. Nous étions les premiers à tester la nouvelle carte. Un peu déçu que le menu semainier ait disparu. La pizza a partager délicieuse, le thon tataki excellent, la daurade bonne mais dommage très petit filet.

A really civilized lunch on the beach— one of the best spots in St Bart’s for lunch if you would like delicious interesting food in a relaxed setting without a huge crowd. No booming music, no models, no pulsing crowd— just a beautiful peaceful spot, good service, and superb menu!

This was a pretty disappointing dining experience. My fish came out cold and had to be returned to the kitchen. The cocktails were very overpriced. Not a good value for what we were served and we would not recommend dining here.

One of our favorite lunch places on the island. Even though the Tom Yum soup is 50 Euros- order it- chock full of lobster and shrimp chunks, fresh vegetables in a delicious Asian broth. Sitting on the beach watching the pelicans dive, mojitos in hand- Ahhhh St. Barth!!

Amazingly Disgusting ! If my previous review of this place from two years ago started with “Amazing” and proclamation of love of this place than this time around I start saying that it is the most horrible place that I have been at while on St. Barth. Besides the obvious disappointment I feel a certain level of betrayal as this place was first on my list this time. Without going into detail, every single dish was unappealing and plainly tasteless. It is hard to take these wonderful ingredients make something so awful, they somehow succeeded. To have your waiter come over ask how the dinner was and managing to politely reply that it was not near as good as a last time and have him begin to educate you and put you down as only French could gastronomically speaking, was a bit shocking. Thank God I am old enough to control my emotions. As unfortunate as it may be but hurricane Irma has not only stripped roofs of this wonderful island but somehow made some people rude and its restaurants unwelcoming. Perhaps, it will take time before things will normalize and people stop cheating its customers for a quick financial reward. Let’s see who survives and who will not.

This restaurant is gorgeous. Right on the beach. Caring, responsive service from valet to sommelier. There are seriously critical reviews online about this wonderful restaurant, so, since we were just there today, 21 Feb, I must assume that the management has read every one of them, and made the appropriate adjustments that would make today’s restaurant so wonderful. So thanks to the critics, because we thoroughly enjoyed our perfect lunch! GO!

Great restaurant overall. Amazing location on the water. We did not like the first table offered however - it was too wide for two of us to have a good experience and talk. The second table was great. As for the food, the Mahi in sauce duglere was excellent. A special dessert was good too. Let me rave though about Margot our server. She was fantastic and reason enough to go there. The sommelier was also excellent with great choices and great descriptions.

Beautiful beach scenery. I had the Mahi Mahi with mashed sweet potatoes which was good, but a very small portion of fish. My husband ordered the tacos, which had chicken and taco shells, but were a far cry from a Mexican preparation being made with curry and supposedly made with an unrecognizable Marsala sauce. He sent it back and they did replace it with a Delicious hamburger and fries.

We had the beef wellington. It was definitively not good. It was a pity, such a waste because the quality of the beef and the presentation were excellent. BUT both the meat and the potato puree were overwhelmed by the taste of truffles. I mean the chef overloaded everything with truffle oil to the extend that the food was not pleasant at all. When it comes to truffles less is better. It is meant to provide an accent not the main flavor. I am pretty sure the head chef was not working that day and some junior assistant made the preparations. This hotel in other ways is well managed.

Never before have I had beef Wellington, it was superb. The only restaurant on the island I’ve found to have chocolate soufflé. Started with the goat cheese salad and being a salad lover I feel confident in saying it is the best on the island. The cappuccino however, I wouldn’t order this here again. Everything else was amazing. Parking is a breeze with free valet, serene surroundings, a wonderful dimly lit, (but not too dark) patio on the water, volume level was pleasant and service unsurpassable. There is also indoor dining if you’d prefer.
