Amici Signature Italian
Amici Signature Italian in Carrollton takes an interest in supporting the area, using fresh Dallas mozzarella and Texas goat cheese to add a bit of eclectic charm to traditional Italian cuisine. The innovative menu items will make Amici Signature Italian a family favorite.
A popular starter is the house focaccia which is made fresh when ordered so expect a bit of a delay. It is often ordered upon arriving at Amici Signature Italian leaving plenty of time to enjoy a glass of wine and peruse the rest of the menu. Alternatively, an order of escargot or roast poblano can get the dinner started more quickly. A popular dinner item is the seafood manicotti filled with shrimp and crab meat. A cheese plate makes a great interlude between courses or even after dessert. Speaking of dessert, the white chocolate bread pudding should not be missed.
Food was excellent made from scratch by chef owner. Service impeccable. Definitely recommend.
the food is just incredible and the service was great. small place, very quaint and enjoyable. super location in downtown carrollton. nice area, parking adequate.
Overall good place. Not bad, not spectacular.
Steak was perfectly cooked, tasty, but a little tough.
It was a pleasant experience. Would go back again .
Eating here is like being in a small village in Italy. The food and staff are excellent while the restaurant is quaint and great for conversation over a meal. It is not a face paced get people in and out.
Absolutely delicious! We will be returning customers. :)
Wonderful service and excellent food. My only thought for improvement might be some kind of tablecloth or small fabric runner for the tables and a some candlelight. It had been over 15 years since we had been to Amici’s and it will now become our place for Italian food.
Went here on a double date with my boyfriend and our friends. Had a great time, Miguel was a great server. Food was delicious! Would definitely go back
Really good food and great service. Will come back again sometime.
Warm, cozy, exceptional food, excellent service and warm and caring interraction with the chef. Been coming to Amici since early 1990's and it has never disappointed. Weather its for a special occasion or just because you want an exceptional and memorable meal. Probably the best kept secret in the metroplex. Try it once and you will be "hooked". Duck is wonderful and my wife always has the Tilapia. Almond lace basket like the other desserts, has a remarkable presentation which suggests "don't touch" but you can't resist. Very reasonable priced wine list and full bar. Service is excellent, you will feel well cared for when you leave. Thank God for Google maps - easy to find now.
We used to be regulars at Amici’s, but moved a couple of towns over. Why we hadn’t taken the drive for a while, I don’t know. It’s worth the drive! We had a great dinner with friends and at one point, one of our friends said, “This is such a great place...and what’s especially nice is we can actually hear each other and not have to yell.” So many restaurants make it so hard to carry on a conversation. The intimate setting and high ceilings allow you to enjoy the company as much as the food. And you WILL enjoy the food!
Service was attentive but not pushy. The salmon was excellent. Wine selections good and with a good price range. Would come again
The meal was delicious.
The service was very attentive! My entree of duck was outstanding. I was very disappointed with the creme brulee. No hard carmelized sugar topping which is a must in my books.
Pleasantly surprised. A great find. Will go back
Food and service were great!
The service was very good. The staff wanted to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. The food was excellent. The chef also visited the tables to make sure everything was satisfactory.
Chef Bartolino is a master in the kitchen. Every dish is fabulous. I had Veal tenderloin that could be cut with a fork. It was smothered in mushrooms and served with the vegetables of the day. I have never heard of anyone having a less than memorable experience at this restaurant.
First time here, first of many! This place was excellent all around. Everyone in our party of 3 was very impressed
food is best anywhere, incredible. small, cramped, not a lot of privacy. good service. again, food is just incredible. location is super, nice small town, down town setting.
We started out with a new (for us) seiection - Conte Brandolini D’adda Pinot Grigio (2015). Just a great choice that brought a smile to our faces. The cheese bread was the perfect appetizer, light, but satisfying. We each had the Veal Tenderloin. Superbly prepared with Marsala wine sauce and mushrooms, served with modest portions of corn, mashed potatoes, and cabbage. Desert was Creme Brule’. An excellent meal for a modest price. Certainly a home run in my book!
Excellent and high quality Sicilian Italian fare!
Came here with a group of friends and then again with my wife for a date. Both times the service and food were outstanding! The place is quaint, quiet and classy. I’ve recommended this place to all my friends.
Amici is in historic downtown Carrollton. We discovered it about 10 years ago. We think it's one of the best restaurants around. The Chef is the owner and he has staff who have been with him for years. He serves traditional Italian dishes which are always excellent, but also serves specials that aren't necessarily traditional Italian dishes. Recently, I've had his lasagna, as well as the roast duck and grilled venison. My wife has had tilapia and salmon dishes. All the entrees come with a medley of fresh vegetables. Amici also has a pretty good wine list that includes Italian and North and South American wines. We visit Amici several times each year. We've found that you can't go wrong with any of the dishes. The food quality and flavor is always impeccable. I especially enjoy the venison. The chef recommends having it served rare. You've got to trust his recommendation on this; it's wonderful! In any case this is a great place for a date, special occasion, or just a really good meal. We hope Amici sticks around for years to come!
