Amici Italian Restaurant, located on the corner of A1A and 312, has been part of the St. Augustine community for over 20 years. In 2020, local Award-winning Chef Freddy Underhill and his wife, Jennifer, purchased Amici with the hopes of carrying on it's legacy. However, 6 days in, they were shut down for dine-in service due to COVID-19. The new owners were motivated and are proud to have remained open to serve St. Augustine and the many visitors travelling through each year. Best known for their traditional Italian-American classics like lasagna, parmigiana and alfredo, locals love the Pancetta Candita (aka Candied Bacon) and the Boozy Tiramisu. Don't miss the best kept secrets though! Regulars love the 16+ oz. USDA Prime Ribeye and the Award-Winning Celery Datil Soup. Only three miles south of the historic district, Amici has plenty of parking and loves entertaining large parties. They are family-owned and operated and love to host other families!

    Hostess explained they are in process of changing ownership. The restaurant was out of several items in the menu and unable to serve wine/alcohol. Food was ok but there are better options for Italian food at other venues and we won’t likely return. Waitresses were attentive.

    Food was absolutely delicious. Bread with Roasted Garlic is to die for! The patio vibe is nice as well! I would Definitely recommend.

    Open Table took my reservation, but the restaurant was closed all weekend. WTH???

    Amici's was closed, though the website indicated they would be open. I now fear being charged $50 for this oversight which was no fault of mine

    The Bathrooms were dirty and smelly. At the start, the Garlic Bread was dry and stale. The soups were on the cold side not warm. Our Entrees were LARGE in Portion but no substance. If your looking for volume versus quality this is the place for you . Our server was avearge however, getting a refill was lengthy. The restaurant was not busy . The restaurant lacked a comfortable feeling. We skipped desert ,since there was no tiramisu on the menu. I asked but they had none.

    The food was fantastic, and our server was terrific. The menu was very cool, it was on a tablet, so it was easy to read in mid light levels, and had lots of information if you wanted to expound on an item; very well done. The only negative I'd like to report is that I booked the reservation using open table, I mentioned it was for a special occasion (specifically selecting an area away from the bar), yet when I arrived, they seated us by the bar with all the screaming kids and loud people. Not good. We had to politely reject and ask to be seated elsewhere, and then were seated at a deuce on a busy hallway/walkway. Sadly it diminished the otherwise tasty food and experience.

    The online menu was much different at the restaurant. Simple foods that can be made in your own kitchen. The ambiance was a pizzeria! When we asked the waiter about the difference he said it was changing ownership and they haven’t gotten the menu correct…3 stars for this eatery. The Uber trip was not worth it :(

    We were greeted by a very pleasant young lady and immediately seated. Our waiter Caleb was very gracious and attentive to our needs. We had the chicken parmigiana and veal parmigiana which was delicious and hot. We even took home cannolis to go! We definitely will be back!! Thank you Amicii for a wonderful dining experience!
