    We always sit in the bar area at a booth. Kevin is our bartender. Debbie is the hostess along with Kay. Sometimes we have Katie or Angela. They are all great. He has the Chicken Acuto and I usually get the Insalata Nona with Salmon. You can’t go wrong with either of those. Good service, good food, what could be better?

    Excellent service by Joy. She was super attentive and friendly. Food portions were generous. All items were tasty and fresh. Big shoutout to Debbie she’s the nicest hostesses. She’s always happy to see me and engage in great conversation. I feel valued as a customer.

    Cheese fritters & Caesar salad were great, as usual. Crab cakes were too spicy (who in the world adds a hot spice to crab cakes) and served with a corn succotash (why?). The butternut squash soup and lasagna had the same hot spice added. We only ate a fourth of the soup. The Bacon & Blue Cheese pizza was disappointing. Could not taste the Blue Cheese. And the Tirimisu was not made with lady fingers, had on alcohol and came with chocolate sauce and vanilla saucehe

    James was a little over the top. He even lied on a few occasions about the menu. I know you can get blackened chicken instead of regular chicken in the Fettucine imperial. I know there is another flavor of a martini other than lemon. He just did not want to change anything. I visit Amerigo quite often and that was a first!

    We went as a family of four to dine for my husband’s birthday. We didn’t have to wait any and was directed to our table by hostess. Waitress was super nice. My husband ordered blackened fish filet entree, only for waitress to return and state that they were out of catfish. He then ask for a 8 oz filet, she proceeded to order that then shortly returned to say, they had just sold the last two steaks. I felt horrible being that it his birthday and all. He settled for grilled salmon but really we should have just gotten up and left. He or my son was not pleased with their food. Braised greens were too sweet. Salmon was flavorless. Seafood pasta was mainly noodles. We ordered two spring salads and never received them. I guess the waitress didn’t want to say that they were out of lettuce or dressing. She didn’t say and we didn’t asked. I ordered tortellini w blackened chicken for the win! I give this place a 2*.. We had reservations for 6:45 and but literally could not get two of the main entrees on menu. I’m not sure what’s happening but I spent $140 and still tipped waitress 20% but I’m very disappointed in our dinner for the evening. We will not return anytime soon. Better luck cooking at home! 🤨

    We go to Amerigo about once a week. We eat mainly off of the lunch menu or the early bird menu. We love Chicken Acuto, the pizzas and the salads. From the time you walk in and meet Debbie the hostess, then your server, then you walk out, everything goes well. I always order a cocktail and Kevin makes sure it is what I like. We like the bar area booths and are lucky enough to get them early afternoon. We go so often that between Debbie, Kevin, Angela, Amanda, they pretty much know what we are going to order. If you have a problem, Andrew, the manager, can get it fixed for you. This is a friendly, good quality, good value for your $ restaurant, that we think you will be happy dining here.

    I was there to celebrate a birthday. We had an excellent server. He was attentive and made sure we were adequately served. Our arrival time was 4:30 pm and we ordered from the early bird menu. I’ve never had a bad experience at Amerigo’s. I highly recommend this restaurant.

    Excellent service. I had the salmon on the lunch menu. It was delicious, although slightly overcooked. Maybe the server should have asked how I wanted the salmon done. It still tasted delicious.

    The chicken piccata was inedible. The sauce was gray and there was none of the traditional lemon flavor. It is ordinarily a light dish but this version had lots of mushrooms and that gray sauce - all making a very hearty dish. The only familiar and traditional piccata ingredient was capers which I enjoyed. I are part of one chicken breast and brought the rest home which I discarded. I will return for my favorite chicken margarite but never for the piccata.

    It was our anniversary; it would have been nice to get a free dessert or a coupon off to return. Most restaurants give something for birthdays, anniversaries and or special events. We have eaten here several times and the same. When we dine at Season 52 and other restaurants we always are well received and given some type of free dessert or a coupon for our next visit.

    Our waitress was attentive and pleasant. I ordered the Veal Piccata and it was absolutely delicious. I made a same day reservation and was seated promptly without having to wait. Amerigo’s is one of my favorite restaurants in Memphis and I will definitely be back.

    Love the 1940s vibe at Amerigo and the selection of music they play. Service was excellent and the food (salmon) was delicious. Would definitely recommend as a place to have a quiet lunch if you need to talk with someone.

    Our Book Club gets together for lunch and this is one of our favorite places. The food is excellent and the service is very good also. The prices are reasonable,there is a good choice of items and most of all you can gain points to redeem by eating there often.

    We had t been for lunch in ages, but it won’t be t’hat long again! Natasha took very good care of us and the food was delicious. Very generous servings, and we both had nought to take home for lunch tomorrow!
