Amerigo is a neighborhood Italian restaurant offering a a blend of traditional and modern Italian cuisine to guests throughout the southeast. Since opening our doors in Ridgeland, MS over three decades ago, Amerigo has remained a local Italian favorite for the Jackson, Memphis, and Nashville areas, and we are thrilled to now be serving the Huntsville community! One of my favorite places to go eat, great environment, staff, friendly, quality and portion of food you receive exceeds the reasonable price range offered in the menu for a fancy candlelit dinner. You'd love it here

Our food was over cooked (salmon & blackened rib eye both requested to be cooked medium but were well done. The cold vegetable salad served with the ribeye was somewhat mushy as though it as a little old. Usually food is excellent. Service as excessive. Ambiance was lovely as well. This is one of my favorite restaurants in Huntsville usually.

Food was enjoyed by all. I am a member with card Number 9808 3138 79 and had a $10.00 reward. When server came she said She could not find and I needed to register. I knew it was active but let it go. Restaurant was too busy to worry about it. I sent in receipt this morning to add to points. She must have entered wrong #. Please check and see if is ok.

Our daughter recommended Amerigo to us. We liked the atmosphere and the variety in the menu. We had the chicken margarite and the chicken Alfredo pasta off the Early Bird menu. The chicken was tender and flavorful and the pastas were just right.

Our first experience at Amerigo. We frequent Bravo at Bridgstreet so that is our comparison lunch location. We were quickly greeted and seated. We had their Shrimp Bisque and Chicken Noodle soups as appetizers. Both were excellent and amongst the best we have had. I was recommended a smokey whisky sour that was also very good. Our main courses were Chicken Parnassian and a blackened ribeye. The Chicken Parm was very good, but not excellent. Could have been much more tender. The blacked ribeye was cooked perfectly and was an excellent cut. However, there was no seasoning to be found, let alone blackening. A hardy shake of table salt and pepper and it was then very good. That ribeye had a summer vegetable side dish of cold, roasted vegetable's. I may have missed the "cold" part of the description, otherwise I would have passed. Personally, I do not believe any cooked vegetables are good cold. :) Lastly for food, I ordered a cappuccino, but it too was not hot. Almost no coffle flavor and lukewarm at best. All in all we would go there again, but only if we are on the south parkway. There is a better option for Italian on the Madison side of town.

Prompt and friendly greeting by receptionist as well as our server Seth. Dining for our 30th anniversary. The appetizers and entrees were delicious, very flavorful, and generous portions. Seth was attentive and friendly. Lively atmosphere but not loud, and very clean. We have eaten there a dozen or more times and so far never been disappointed.

The food is always good but for a large group we have had really slow service Waiting more than an hour to be served. The servers are always nice and so is management. They have apologized and even rewarded us with dessert. We’ll keep going

Very good menu with lots of options. Bruschetta starter for us both and then Caramelized Salmon and Veal Saltimbocca for our main courses which were both cooked perfectly. Wife ordered the Tiramisu to go. We are looking to return soon so we can try some of the other menu items!

I had a seasonal pizza and liked it very much. The crust was thin and a crispy, chewy texture that I prefer. I had a glass of wine. The serving size was ample. Their wine list is mid-range price in my opinion. Service was not as good as I have experienced here before but I think that was because I was there at a slow period and the wait staff was probably handling other prep tasks.

First time dining at Amerigo with my wife. Elegant environment with exceptional food. Service was also excellent, but perhaps a bit too hurried with them wanting our plates and such before we finished our food. Will try them again soon.

The dinners we’ve had at Amerigo Huntsville have been great. The brunch, not so much. Took a long time to get our order. We were told they forgot one of the ingredients in the frittata and had to redo it. The panini I got was kind of greasy, and the bacon wasn’t cooked enough in my opinion. Won’t return for brunch but will come back for lunch or dinner. The servers have always been excellent!

There was a group of 4 in my party. The greeting was very nice and we had a very good booth, which is what I requested. The young lady, Emma B. did a very good job of going over the menu specials and gave her impressions of what she liked. Very good job and very pleasant young lady. We all had a different selection. We were all pleased with the food and enjoyed it. Were given three to go containers since the portions were a little more than we wanted at the time. Mine was very good today at lunch. All in all, a very enjoyable lunch and the service Emma gave us was very good. Checked back often enough to see how we were doing. Not my first time and not the last. Bill H.

The service was great. The drinks were yummy. The food was ok but very greasy and way too saucy. I don’t feel the need to return but I also don’t feel the need to ban the place either. I’d give it another try.

My wife and I have dined at Amerigo numerous times since it opened in Huntsville. We have always enjoyed our dining experience. In fact, our most recent visit was to celebrate my wife’s birthday. Unlike our previous experiences we were disappointed. My wife ordered a filet mignon. While it was very tasty it was undercooked and the green beans were not edible. I ordered veal parmesan. The veal was over cooked. It was so tough it was almost impossible to eat. The desert was very good. We will give Amerigo another try in the hope this experience was an isolated incident.

Went for early dinner with friend ordered salmon is was perfectly cooked and served over a delicious mix of roasted corn black beans peppers. Really tasty. The house wine is reasonably priced and good. Service was also friendly and attentive.
