   We went to celebrate an 82 nd birthday. She chose Amerigo. The margarita was super; the food (her steak) was tasteless. My veal did not taste like veal at all. We will not be back. Arrivederci per sempre!

   Busy as it was Mothers Day. Service was outstanding, unfortunately one entree was cold.

   We were promptly seated. Our server greeted us right away and allowed us to chat before placing our order. She was helpful describing the dishes. She refilled our beverages. Our dessert was delicious (key lime pie). We love Amerigo for the consistency of service, food quantity and atmosphere.

   My number 1 dish to rate an Italian joint is the Veal parmesan. Firstly, the noodles were not spaghetti but closer to pappardelle or fettuccine and were overcooked. Sauce was OK. The Veal was by far the worst I ever had. Flat, stale rubber. I can usually power through mediocre to subpar Italian food. This was an exception. Appetizer was the mussels. Half were good but the other half tasted super fishy. Caesar salad was a 7 dollar add on but was closer to some 2 dollar hollar. I know this might sound overkill but even the water tasted like it was from the tap. I was told it was filtered but definitely tasted like it came from the bathroom sink. Not at all what I'd expect for an Italian spot that you make reservations too. Server was nice. No complaints w the service. They did comp one of the Veal dishes though neither me nor my wife finished even a quarter of our meal. We're just visiting in Huntsville so hopefully they have some better offerings for Italian cuisine.

I'm glad to know a manager stepped in to turn things around for you while you dined with us, though I'm sorry to hear that our attempts to remedy the situation were unsuccessful. We never want a guest leaving with an unsatisfactory experience, but it sounds like we came up short here, which I am very sorry for. We appreciate your patronage and feedback, and hope that you'll reconsider a return visit in the future.

    Get reservations they were empty at 5 and packed at 6. I had crab cakes, veal saltimboca and key lime pie. Everything was delicious. They’re a sister restaurant to Char so similar food quality but Italian. 5/5 would go again.
