The best award-winning steakhouse in the area! Worth the drive from Banner Elk (13 miles), Beech Mountain, Sugar Mountain (30 minute drive) , Johnson City or wherever you are. Americano Steak House is a local, veteran-owned restaurant featuring hand-cut steaks, fresh seafood, amazing salads, 1/2 pound steak-burgers, decadent desserts and the only full liquor bar in the East Tennessee mountains will over 100 wines by the bottle and glass.

We kindly ask that you do not show up early for your reservation, but simply on time. We are a small, boutique steakhouse that focuses on exceptional food and incredible service in the mountains of East Tennessee and typically cannot seat guests earlier than their reserved time.

While we have always discouraged them, our policy towards no shows/same day cancelations MUST be firm. No shows and same day cancellations are the plague of the industry and we ask of you to uphold your end of this commitment as we are thrilled to provide on our end.

    My sister and I had dinner at Americano twice during our 10-day stay at Linville Ridge. Both of our meals were excellent and we ordered the same dishes each time we went: the Hawaiian Rib-eye, Overmountain Chicken, crispy brussel sprouts, and topped off with carrot cake! During our stay we ate all of our meals out, and concluded that Americano was by far the best, and well-worth the short ride. If we are ever again close to Roan Mountain, we will be at Americano.

    My hubby & I have eaten at Americano quite a few times but it was our two guest’s first experience here. The food was spectacular, as always. Our only two complaints were the fact that they were very understaffed (& the poor waitresses were run ragged) & there was a disturbance between two tables. The one man became very loud & argumentative & eventually walked out. Troy & his lovely mother were definitely missed. We look forward to seeing you again soon!

    Overall excellent experience. Food was excellent with the exception of the salad dressings. I feel that the salad dressings should have been homemade and of the caliber of the rest of the meal . That’s not to say the dressings they serve were bad but they were just not on the same level as the rest of the meal . Sirloin steak that i ordered was the best i had ever eaten. Deserts were all excellent we ordered three different ones and all were delicious. Service was good and the waitress was excellent. We will certainly be back soon .

    First time with friends. Service was excellent. Prime rib night. 3 of us ordered the prime rib, wife ordered the chicken. She was impressed. Excellent choice. My other two friends thought the prime rib was very good. Mine was tasty but lots of fat and gristle. Meat was very chewy. Not the best impression after so many positive reviews. I'll certainly try it again.

    This was a family gathering for dinner. My sisters had the Fl Grouoer that was fantastic. Not a drop left on their plates....and being from Fl we know awesome grouper. Our Filets melted in our mouth and perfectly cooked. I love, love love the loaded bake potato. It was a great time and our server Morgan was fantastic. We will be back, soon!

    We had a great time and a wonderful meal. Drove from Blowing Rock via the Parkway to Newland and to Roan Mountain—took less than an hour. We will be back.

    My favorite dish is the 8 oz sirloin Marsala with a loaded baked potato and Caesar Salad. Save room for dessert. They are divine. I live in Boone NC. However, the Americana Steakhouse in Roan Mountain TN is my favorite restaurant. I tell everyone about it. It’s about 40-45 minutes from Boone and even closer to Watauga Lake/Butler TN. Their waitresses are the best! They now have a full bar and a great wine list.

    To drive so far was worth it! The crabcakes melt in your mouth and as they say, no filler. The steak and shrimp had excellent flavor and texture. Firm but not chewy shrimp. The triple chocolate cheese cake is amazing. Again, well worth the drive. Being a veteran, going to a veteran owned business is something i look for and this business is worth your business. Our server Cayla Z was really good and knowledgeable.

    First time there and the overall experience was very good. Friendly wait staff, steak was tender, delicious and cooked perfectly. Although we didn't order a drink or wine with our meal, the bar area looked well stocked. Would recommend to our friends and family.

    My husband and I have taken out of town guests to Americano on several occasions and we've never been disappointed. The food is always outstanding, staff and management very friendly and engaged in ensuring their patrons are enjoying their visit. We love it and keep coming back!!

    Really enjoyed our meals. Seven happy guests and one said the Chicken Picate was one of the best meals she had ever had. My Bloody Mary was perfect. Owners are exceptional in their attention to detail and attention to guest. Us Titusville guys and gals really had a great experience. Thank you.

    We were there on Labor Day weekend, Saturday night. Apparently they only had one chef on staff. Our broccolatini had absolutely no taste. My steamed spinach was practically raw spinach on a plate. The parmesan truffle fries were mushy. The waitress messed up our grouper order and the chef took It out on her I guess because he put the remake of the plate on the back of the line taking almost 30 minutes to get it. When it came out it was pretty nasty. Don't order seafood there. Prime rib and Hawaiian ribeye were great. Drinks were great. Service was excellent. We will try it again in a non holiday weekend.

    This was our first trip to Americano but assuredly will not be our last. The food was outstanding. Servers were very attentive and the staff from the hostess to the owner made a point to ensure we had the best experience possible. A short trip from Banner Elk - I highly recommend.

    Asked for a substitute for sautéed spinach that came with a dinner. Server said if I wanted a different one I would have to pay for it. Entree house salad looked right out of a bag of greens from the grocery store. O thing added. Salmon on the salad was fine, nothing special.

    This restaurant was highly recommended and we were excited to visit. We were 15 minutes early for our reservation and tho the restaurant was 1/2 empty we were directed to the bar which is not really a bar but a drink station as there is no seating to enjoy your cocktail. After my husband griped we were seated at a table. The calamari appetizer was yummy. Salad was nothing special. My stuffed trout special was delicious. Hubby’s double cut pork shop that he ordered medium was delivered well done. The server informed us that the kitchen advised it was TN law (!) to serve pork well done! Never heard anything so ridiculous. I suggested the kitchen try using a thermometer. The acoustics are terrible…once the restaurant filled up the cacophony was over the top! We could barely have a conversation.

    We were only 10 minutes early for our reservation for 2 and a as made to wait until exact time to sit and there were alot of empty tables. A little loud in the restaurant for my liking. Food was delicious though, salad was very fresh

    Everything was great. Food was exceptional. Only complaint (& it’s a personal preference issue) was that the live music was a bit too loud making conversation somewhat challenging. We will go back.

    Enjoyed everything about the meal. Onion Petal and Brussel Sprouts appetizers were delicious. Cowboy ribeye tender and tasty. Two people had the salmon and claimed it outstanding. Server Morgan was delightful. Looking forward to return visit.

    We had a reservation and were greeted and seated promptly. They were out of bread, out of mashed potatoes, and out of one of the specials. It took quite some time to get the food out of the kitchen. Our server was quite nice and attentive. It was very noisy atmosphere.

    Wonderful dinner on prime rib night! (Thursday) The owner and staff are so attentive and make sure everything is exquisitely prepared and served. It is great that they now have full bar service. Excellent experience!
